I am a huge fan of Goldsmith and their team, and can't say enough good things about them. This is more than a jewelry store, my husband and I consider it our family jewelry store for life. My husband gifted me my first pair of diamond earrings from Goldsmith when we were dating, and eventually purchased my engagement ring and wedding set from here as well, along with various other gifts and pieces. Danny and Mary always take care of us and remember us, it's nothing like a typical big box jewelry store. Over the years, we have continued to visit the team at Goldsmith for all of our jewelry needs. Recently, I brought in a piece of heirloom jewelry and a few other random pieces that had been sitting in a safe for years. It held a lot of sentimental value, but was dated and not my style. I decided to reimagine the old jewelry into a few custom pieces I'd actually want to wear every day. I met with Danny to talk about my ideas. He always makes me feel at ease and understands what I am envisioning, giving suggestions and asking lots of questions, guiding me to the perfect piece. He called, texted and kept in regular communication on the status of the jewelry. We settled on transforming the pieces into a necklace and 3 rings. Their in house designer created digital images with ideas and we went back-and-forth a few times until we had the perfect designs for me. I was also shown a 3-D printed mold so that I can feel the rings and see what they would look like exactly. The pieces came out more perfect than I could have imagined and I couldn't be happier. These people are scam artists. They won't offer me less than half for my gold and told me the reason why it's because they were going to melt it. It's not a used TV. It's gold and then she straight up lied and said that the big ruby the one and a 1/2 carat ruby was glass when I've already had. It tested these people get mad because people bring them stolen stuff yet. That's who they pray on. They expect everybody to be ignorant and then they steal from you. I absolutely do not recommend ever bringing anything. To sell. The woman literally hadn't even seen it closer than 3' and she's telling me that it's a piece of glass data. They took 18 carat gold and inscribed lettering on a piece of glass. Yeah f****** right. read more

I purchased 2 diamond 14kt gold bands of 1ct each totaling 2 carats. Upon appraisal for insurance I found out my rings were .63cts each! I informed the owner David who responded that he'd have to take my wedding set apart which I'd pay for, measure each stone then reassemble! He could have measured the diamonds without removing them from the band. I'm very disappointed with the thievery of the shop. I'll never buy there again! read more

Great service is to say the very least! I brought my grandmother's wedding band in to be sized. Unfortunately, due to the ring itself, that was not an option. After a few minutes, it was offered to recreate her ring using the same gold as her band. The designer began working on the ring before we even left the store. If I could give less than one star, I definitely would. I was so disappointed as I have been looking for a jeweler to develop a relationship with that would know my tastes and I could gets things appraised or repaired as needed. So, I started small. I needed a little something done which was maybe a 10th a gram of gold each (a small hoop to change pendants to a enhancers for 2mm hoop earrings). Now I know there are labor costs but get real! They wanted to charge $264! They also had a ten day turn around. Needless to say, I went to another jeweler. The other jeweler did a fantastic job in only one day and it was only $47.23 including the tax! I guess if you're like my husband who doesn't know the value of gold you might fall for this price gouging. That is why I'm writing this review. Deal with another jeweler who has fair prices and will treat you fairly. There is already a lot of profit in the jewelry business. There is no need to treat customers unfairly with those kinds of pricing practices. read more

My experience going to Gold Smith jeweler was amazing. Gold Smith out shined the typical mall to mall jewelry stores you normally experince in my opinion. The lady who helped me took time to hear what I wanted to purchase, which was a (yellow gold) piece of jewelry, she suggested her expertise to me, and she was able to keep me in my budget with the leisure of payment options available-I chose monthly payments until balance was $0 remaining. However, I was passed off to the next jeweler apon my 1st visit, that sort of made me felt unworthy or prejudice against but later on, my persistence and commitment to my payments won the 2 ladies & gentleman who walked away from me over. Before Yelp was even in existence, I dealt with this jewelry shop, had spent a great deal of money at their store located in Lake Mary/Heathrow at the time, but after their move to their current location, I had a negative experience that would take too much space to explain here. I'd be happy to deal with the store owners and explain what happened and why. If the current owners are the same ones as they were in 2008, I don't know if they would even recall the incident and the statute of limitations has already long passed, but this store deprived me of money owed to me on a substantial amount of a deposit (approximately $500) on a lovely piece of jewelry I wanted to purchase during a time when I was very ill, and the one of the owners was quite unpleasant about it at that time. Prior to that time, I'd had nothing but a positive experience with them, had praised them to friends and family and had nothing but the highest regard for their business practices and adored their staff. I so hope they have returned to their previous respectful, caring and helpful attitude towards their loyalty customer base. But if the same owners haven't changed, I'm sad to say I would not give this previously fine company my business today. I am so sad to have to update this review and say something negative. We were so thrilled with my engagement ring and how it turned out, and then we had two negative experiences that really changed my mind about this place. The first was when we went to pick out wedding rings. My fiancé found a ring he really liked, and we were quoted a price that seemed pretty high to me. When I researched the ring with other jewelers and online, I found that everyone else was selling this same ring cheaper than Goldsmith was. I explained this to them by phone and they dropped the price slightly, but it was still cheaper to go with other jewelers. At the end of the day, I actually saved nearly $400 buying the exact same ring from another jeweler. A few months later, I came into Goldsmith's with a possible repair. My grandmother had recently died and I wanted her necklace repaired so I could wear it on my wedding day. I was quoted a price of over $200 just to restring the necklace with a string that was not at all made from a precious metal. Over $300 to restring it on white gold. The store clerk suggested I could "buy a new one", and I had to explain once again that my grandmother is dead and this is sentimental to me. It can't be replaced. I shopped around for the repair and got it done for under $40. Truly, this place is ripping people off. While the jewelry is quality, I am certain you'll find better prices elsewhere. read more

You guys know from my reviews I'm majorly into supporting local businesses, especially when they are a much better quality, value, and experience than the chains. My husband and I have shopped at Goldsmith's for years. Things I have purchased: 1. I had my diamond upgraded on my wedding set (and they provided me an appraisal for my insurance) 2. I've purchased two pairs of elegant gold earrings. 3. Earring posts repaired 3. I think we've even had a watch battery replaced. 4 I've also stopped by for several complimentary ring cleanings - they are happy to assist! This a group of friendly people - Everytime I've gone there I'm acknowledged immediately and they remember me I've also noticed they have repeat customers. Great service from Gil and David, and some of the other gals (sorry can't remember their names). Although I haven't gotten any custom work/jewelry created (YET), they can do that for you. They have a fantastic in house artist/jewelry designer, David, who spoke to me for a while and was able to extract the ideas stuck in my brain and came up with some fantastic sketches for a ring and a necklace. I'm a person who doesn't switch out her jewelry very often. I don't wear a lot of jewelry but like quality "real" signature pieces to wear every day. I highly recommend Goldsmiths!! read more

The custom design work at this shop is top-notch. We have had four pieces designed and fabricated here and they are absolutely magnificent. Some of the pieces used gemstones and gold that we had for years and needed updating. For another, very special piece, I had the shop procure a very high quality diamond for me. They brought in several amazing diamonds for me to choose from. They clearly have access to the very best gemstones. David, the jewelry designer, is a joy to work with. He spent lots of time with us and did many computer generated renderings until the design was perfect. First time coming to the place for anything. Took a week to get my bracelet fixed. Guess that's a good average time. I don't know. They at least had it ready on the day they promised. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I spoke with Mary on my initial visit. She help me figure out my options on fixing the bracelet for the best price. The receipt said you repair is ready for pick up after 2pm but when I called at noon to see if I could get it earlier, they had it ready. I walked in for pick up and got helped right away. My gold bracelet was repaired well, you can't even see where it was broken and shined up. It looked like new. Very good service. I brought in a bracelet to fix that I purchased in Greece on a vacation 15 years ago and it had a leather band with a Greek key. The leather band was worn and broken. I am livid! I just got home and my husband picked up my wedding band that we had dropped off to get fixed a few weeks ago. The platinum band is shredded!!! That was certainly not the condition we dropped it off in. A diamond had to be reset in the band and when the quote came back, they said it would cost nearly $850 to repair! I was dumbfounded. I told them it seemed so extreme and that I would think about it. The salesman told me that while I thought about it, it would be good to keep it in their shop rather than in my own house for safekeeping. I intend on going back tomorrow first thing to address this and I am literally fuming!!!! I have no possible way for this ring to get this way unless I were to stick my ring in a grinder. I buy at least two pieces of fine jewelry there every year for my wife who will tolerate nothing but the most exquisite jewelry. I wouldn't go anywhere else. When I goto Goldsmith Jewelry I am never pressured and always provided with top notch advice, courtesy and a large selection of items. I visited this jewelry store looking for wedding bands. Rita was the sales lady helping my fiancé and I. Rita was extremely boisterous and loud. We saw a ring we liked and asked for a quote. Most jewelry stores they will write the quote down on a business card or something with the model number. Rita however has a different method. She waved us over like cattle and told us the price.
