Unfortunately after a few weeks of going in and learning that my chain was not ready, they texted me to say that they lost my chain but I could go in and choose another one. My heart was broken but Hannah was really patient and helpful in finding a similar chain and I chose (and paid) for a pendant to go along with it. A couple weeks later I moved to another city when I got a text that they found my chain, so drove the 4 hours round-trip to pick it up. They did a good job, were still friendly and waived the $25 mending fee. Things happen but customer service makes all the difference! I'm thrilled to have had a happy ending by being reunited with my gold chain.

Bay Hill did an incredible job making the ring, with a low profile but still high enough to put another band next to it. I recently popped in to get a watch battery replaced and seek help with another watch whose crown was stuck in the locked position, preventing the updating of time or dates. Ehm. The staff was very nice, greeted me promptly and my watches were assessed, battery quickly changed in the back while I waited with the gal up front who was checking out my other watch. I was informed the crown getting stuck was a common problem with my particular watch model and she had it quickly unstuck and the time and date updated in a matter of minutes, with no charge. We didn't agree on a price we tentatively negotiated towards a price that we could agree on, but I told him I'd come back with cash and we would talk further.. After lunch, I came back with the cash and offered a little bit under what the initial price we talked about was. The owner went into a temper tantrum, started packing everything up and yelling about me playing a game with him. Mind you I was not lowballing him a lot less than what we had already talked about only $500 on a multi thousand dollar watch. I would have purchased a watch at that price, all he had to do was be respectful and say "no I can't do that price" and I would've bought it and I would've walked out with the watch and we would be on great terms, and this would be a positive review. Instead, he decided to freak out, be disrespectful towards me, make exaggerated claims and borderline start yelling at me If this is the customer service, you're going to receive when you're potentially purchasing an item at multi thousands of dollars, imagine the customer service he'd receive if there was an actual problem with the item down the line His reaction was completely unnecessary, unexpected, and a deterrent for any potential future customer. My best advice is to learn to improve your soft skills, and your approach with customers. At the end of the day you are selling things, people are going to request to purchase them for lower than what you have listed, if this is something that is going to trigger you then maybe this isn't the job you should be in

My husband gifted me my first pair of diamond earrings from Goldsmith when we were dating, and eventually purchased my engagement ring and wedding set from here as well, along with various other gifts and pieces. Danny and Mary always take care of us and remember us, it's nothing like a typical big box jewelry store. Over the years, we have continued to visit the team at Goldsmith for all of our jewelry needs. Recently, I brought in a piece of heirloom jewelry and a few other random pieces that had been sitting in a safe for years. It held a lot of sentimental value, but was dated and not my style. I decided to reimagine the old jewelry into a few custom pieces I'd actually want to wear every day. I met with Danny to talk about my ideas. He always makes me feel at ease and understands what I am envisioning, giving suggestions and asking lots of questions, guiding me to the perfect piece. He called, texted and kept in regular communication on the status of the jewelry. We settled on transforming the pieces into a necklace and 3 rings. Their in house designer created digital images with ideas and we went back-and-forth a few times until we had the perfect designs for me. I was also shown a 3-D printed mold so that I can feel the rings and see what they would look like exactly. The pieces came out more perfect than I could have imagined and I couldn't be happier. I love wearing them every day, and feel closer to my loved ones thanks to Goldsmith. We look forward to many more years of being customers at Goldsmith.
