During my wife's immigration process, we moved from Pittsburgh to Dallas and then again from Dallas to Phoenix. During this time, different lawyers for MayLaw Group would sometimes email just me (and not my wife) important documents for her and other times they would send her documents, but not me. We asked them repeatedly to send them to both of us, but they never could figure out that easy concept. One document they sent to me and not my wife was our relocation notice to the government that we were moving from Dallas to Phoenix. After we moved and discovered that our important couples' interview was still scheduled in Dallas instead of Phoenix, one of the lawyers, Beth Mulligan, told us not to respond and that she would handle it and get it rescheduled to Interview in Phoenix. Of course, she did not fix it with USCIS and after we didn't show up to the Dallas interview, the government classified my wife as a "no-show" and canceled her entire Visa. Once we heard this, we were understandably upset. After I left them 2 voicemails and several emails with no response, they finally agreed to set up a conference call. We talked with Valerie, Beth and I think Brandy on the phone call. We were obviously upset and they acted like robots. All of them do not seem to grasp that there are actual human lives behind this process that are affected. During the call, instead of empathizing with us and game-planning our next steps, Valery became aggressive on the call and actually blamed US and would only give empty excuses for their defense. After this rare phone call meeting, they must have decided never to call us again because we never got a phone call from them again, just emails that were AGAIN, sometime sent to just me, sometimes to both of us and sometimes just to my wife. In order to appeal to reopen our case, it cost us roughly another $3,500. After a few more months, we finally got our case opened and interview date set in Phoenix. On the day of the interview, my wife and I noticed that almost every other couple had their lawyers with them. When we were called in, the very first thing our interviewer asked was where were our lawyers? We responded that we didn't even know they should be with us, as Valerie and her team never told us anything. Despite this, she passed her interview and got her GreenCard. They never asked how the interview went and never followed up. We always had to contact them. We could not wait to stop using them once my wife got her GreenCard. Again, I summarize our experience with them: extremely unprofessional, horrible communication, lack of any empathy for their clients whatsoever and quick to blame other for their own inept actions. Our advice would be: DO NOT USE THEM. They do NOT care about their clients, rather only the money they can fleece from them.

What amazed us the most is she knows exactly how long everything takes. She'd tell us what to expect, and when, and she was right all the way. We wouldn't recommend anyone else in Pittsburgh other than Valerie May. If you want the best, she's the one!

I received an RFE Letter for my brother and sister. In short, it has been very challenging to work…read morewith her and we do not get valuable help by hiring her. We experience difficulty to get documentation from our government, however, I still remember that her answer is pretty much just submitting whatever documents that we have. This is honestly disheartening because while I understand she may not be the one who'll get impacted by the outcome of the case, but the point of we are hiring her is to obtain her expertise. I ended up contacting nonprofit lawyers and I received more valuable help. They mentioned I would have to create affidavit letters and they provided as what to put in the affidavit letters, who should create it, that they have to be notarized and have to be in original etc. These are tangible and useful advice that I can follow. Other lawyers also mentioned we can make suggestions to provide a DNA tests. I paid a lot of money in advance so that the process is easier, but at the end we also have to work on this ourselves, even for a document that she technically has control of. After creating the letter, however, she still refused to review them because the letters does not have too many information, according to her. If the info is too little, then add something then in the letter?? We are inexperienced that's why we are looking for help. After reviewing the cover letter, she also did not mention about we would need to send the original affidavit document. This is honestly infuriating for my family because it can take a week to send documents from the other side of the world. Furthermore, she does not seem to be very knowledgeable in family based petition. We ended up hiring another immigration attorney who are more experienced in taking care of similar cases. There are things that she mentioned that seems strange (e.g. my brother can use the copy of original RFE letter in responding, while my sister case, she has to use original RFE letter - why??) A minor concern is she also scanned my brother's document crooked and it took her a month to just re-fill a document for my brother. I know there is no missing information and there are still 3 weeks left before RFE deadline, but these little things just suggests us that her work is sloppy and she does not seem very interested in taking care of my family's cases. In short, it has been a challenging process for me to deal with her and we don't receive valuable feedback. In the end, we work on almost 100% on our cases and ask another non-profit attorney to review the cases for a peace of mind. Although we may have still used her service (since we have paid her), however all of these concerns have accumulated and just break the trust we had for her. If you read this message, I would find a different attorney that would be willing to help your case, especially if your case is very specific. She does not seem to have the experience/knowledge nor interests to be helpful even though she has received the cash.

If you're in need of a excellent immigration attorney and paralegal look no more!!!! Vanessa…read moreCaruso and Allison Rowland are simply the best! To be honest, finding Vanessa and Allison was the best thing that's happened to us. They gave us hope and confidence that they could get us where we needed to be and THEY DID INDEED. My husband and I struggled for years with my immigration case which involved several layers, not the least of which was an I-601A Hardship Waiver and trip back to my home country! We were exhausted from searching for a good immigration attorney that is not only knowledgeable but also professional and sympathetic. One day while surfing through the internet I stumbled across Vanessa's website. I immediately got in touch with her by email. Since that day our lives changed and will never be the same. And although I do not live in the same state as her, she reassured us that she can do everything through email, mail and FaceTime. This worked beautifully because of their organized and fluid approach. Senior Paralegal Allison Rowland is the consummate professional and an EXPERT on writing Hardship Waivers. You do not want to tell your story without her! She works like a beast and get things done in a timely fashion and is very knowledgeable as well. I should also mention that they are worth way more than what they charge for their services. "Above and beyond the call of duty" doesn't do justice to the thoroughness, patience, perseverance and responsiveness they showed in handling our case. I could literally write a whole book with ALL the positive experiences and interactions we had with those two beautiful souls. In the end the result was all that they promised and we are extremely satisfied and happy with their services. I have a green card to show for it! Highly, highly, highly recommended!!

I highly suggest that you make an appointment instead of coming in as a walk in. Just because you have an appointment doesn't mean that you will actually be taken at your appointment time, but you will be taken ahead of any walk ins (regardless of how long they are waiting). The was the one down side to my experience here. I had a 10:30 appointment. I arrived a few minutes early, and there were three or so people ahead of me waiting to check in. When someone came to check us in, they did ask who had an appointment and two of the three of us did, so they checked us in before the person without an appointment. They were busy, so I was taken back about ten minutes after my scheduled appointment. As long as you come with the appropriate documentation for your requested service, the fingerprinting is digital and fairly quick. They don't send or receive any results at this location (and, unfortunately, can't answer questions on status if you have them). Your results are mailed and emailed after your appointment. They told me it could take up to a month, but mine were sent in about a week. You can also schedule an appointment for TSA precheck requirements here, but I don't have personal experience with that service.

Starting out it is all online. It goes fairly quickly and then you are kind of on your own. They tell you of nearby offices that will assist you with completing the precheck, but it kind of goes a bit haywire for the person and can be overwhelming. First, the location of this one that is located in Monroeville is so odd. Literally they tell you on the website that it is in the plaza next to Elmer's. That's fine and dandy, but that plaza has several businesses. Honestly, you would not know to come in here as the outside of the building is unmarked and adjoined to a Farmer's Insurance office. In fact, they are technically two different addresses with two different doors, but when you go inside it is all one shared space. Second, when you go inside there is no one at the reception desk. You just go in with hardly any direction and kind of figure out what to do. The whole time I was here, I didn't see anyone approach that reception desk and was worried that I wasn't going to be seen. Somehow, by miracle of miracles, someone did come and get me. What is odd is that everything you answered online, you will have to answer again here. Like every single question. Instead of all that information transferring in and being able to make this a quicker visit. The employees can be a bit terse, so I think Nancy can sit down for a minute. Looks like you just came on here to write a review to offset what is reflected. Unlike Nancy, my appointment wasn't for the next day and I had a wait a few days to get an appointment as I have a life that doesn't revolve around typical business hours for an office. I did receive my TSA approval rather quickly. Faster than what they report on the website. I think they claim anywhere from five to ten business days. I had it by the end of the week that I had my appointment.
