If you need fingerprinting for a job or volunteer position in the Monroeville area, this is likely going to be your go to location. I highly suggest that you make an appointment instead of coming in as a walk in. Just because you have an appointment doesn't mean that you will actually be taken at your appointment time, but you will be taken ahead of any walk ins (regardless of how long they are waiting). The was the one down side to my experience here. I had a 10:30 appointment. I arrived a few minutes early, and there were three or so people ahead of me waiting to check in. When someone came to check us in, they did ask who had an appointment and two of the three of us did, so they checked us in before the person without an appointment. They were busy, so I was taken back about ten minutes after my scheduled appointment. As long as you come with the appropriate documentation for your requested service, the fingerprinting is digital and fairly quick. They don't send or receive any results at this location (and, unfortunately, can't answer questions on status if you have them). Your results are mailed and emailed after your appointment. They told me it could take up to a month, but mine were sent in about a week. With as much traveling as I had been doing recently I decided it was time to register myself for TSA Precheck. Getting started is easy, it's the follow up that is horrible. Starting out it is all online. It goes fairly quickly and then you are kind of on your own. They tell you of nearby offices that will assist you with completing the precheck, but it kind of goes a bit haywire for the person and can be overwhelming. First, the location of this one that is located in Monroeville is so odd. Literally they tell you on the website that it is in the plaza next to Elmer's. That's fine and dandy, but that plaza has several businesses. Honestly, you would not know to come in here as the outside of the building is unmarked and adjoined to a Farmer's Insurance office. In fact, they are technically two different addresses with two different doors, but when you go inside it is all one shared space. Second, when you go inside there is no one at the reception desk. You just go in with hardly any direction and kind of figure out what to do. The whole time I was here, I didn't see anyone approach that reception desk and was worried that I wasn't going to be seen. Somehow, by miracle of miracles, someone did come and get me. What is odd is that everything you answered online, you will have to answer again here. Like every single question. Instead of all that information transferring in and being able to make this a quicker visit. The employees can be a bit terse, so I think Nancy can sit down for a minute. Unlike Nancy, my appointment wasn't for the next day and I had a wait a few days to get an appointment as I have a life that doesn't revolve around typical business hours for an office. I had recently made application for TSA precheck and brought in my required documents to my appt. Once inside you sign an arrival registry and then asked to take a seat. Cell phone use is prohibited here so no photos were taken. I was called back within 5 minutes of my appointment time. I presented my appropriate documentation and was told I didn't need anything else. I sat in a bolted chair while answering background questions on a computer screen including criminal history. After that the lady did a complete fingerprint scan including thumbs and then I had to pose for a picture as shown on my identity card. Finally she took my credit card since TSA pre check requires you to make payment regardless of outcome for their services. She told me I would probably hear back from them in a few business days but to allow up to 60 days maximum for processing. The whole visit was about 15 minutes maximum. It is very important that you come in with the correct documentation requested since that will delay your application from being processed and you will need to return. When in doubt, check with the issuing agency of that document and they will steer you in the right direction. The lady who waited on my was compassionate and very friendly. She addressed my concerns and made me feel at ease. I'm looking forward to getting my approval soon since I saw they had processed the application when I got home. Microaggressive and borderline racist behavior I am a brown woman who was 15 mins late to my appointment. I knew I would be penalized for being late so I sat tight as people who came in after me were ushered in. A blonde middle-aged lady with gloves and mask on, constantly pushed me down the list despite her colleagues insistence that I be shown in because I had waited long enough. Not only that she announced it loudly as she passed over me every time. It is really sad that some people like the blond woman single out people to bully. What she did to feel a modicum of power, was not justified. I felt singled out and was left to wonder if she was doing it because of the color of my skin? Waited close to an hour. read more

I have been waiting for six weeks for my FBI fingerprint results. I was told it could take up to four weeks due to USPS. I checked my status online and over the phone (no humans) only to be told I was registered and I should make an appointment to have the fingerprinting done. I have called their local number, only to be forwarded to a computer which states I have been registered and need to make an appointment. I have called their corporate customer service only to be sent to the same computer. There is no way to contact a human, unless I drive 30 minutes to the Monroeville location. I'm beyond frustrated and glad my agency has been understanding. So what now? Pay another $28? I am completely and utterly disappointed with the lack of customer service.
