Now mind you...he thoroughly looked at the clock inside and out and told me to bring it back.....which I did today. The minute I took it out of the bag he says "Oh...I don't think I work on these anymore." Then opened up the back looked at it again and said, "Yup...don't work on these anymore." I was more than flustered when I asked why he didn't tell me that back in July and he just said "Well I worked I them back then." No apologies for the inconvenience...nothing. Then he said he thought a guy in Nazareth works on clocks like my mantle clock. I asked for the guy's name and he said, " I dunno." I said thanks for nothing and left. I was more than a little upset being I woke up early to take this precious piece of my family history to the Fair Grounds to this joker in the hope of it being fixed and finally hearing its chimes after it being silent for so many years. DO NOT take your precious pieces to this place. This guy's personality is a total turn off.

Called shop on morning of Saturday 1/4/2025; brought the clock in circa 11am; repair person diagnosed the problem on the spot; even had an upgraded replacement mechanism in stock; received a call around 1:30 PM the same day that the clock was repaired - simply outstanding!!! The clock is working perfectly, and the new mechanism has more features than the original. Repair person even took time to explain the new mechanism operation; gave me some tips along with instruction sheet for proper setting and battery replacement. They even offer a 1-year warranty on the repair with proof of purchase. Tough to find a clock/watch repair person these days, let alone one that seems to know what he is doing. Couldn't be more pleased with the service even though some might find the repair cost a bit pricey (you get what you pay for IMHO). Am looking forward to many more years of use on a model of clock no longer in production that we just love.

The young man working in the store seemed about as disinterested in helping us as possible--more focused on playing his video games than assisting customers as we browsed. The clocks for sale are few in number to those on display. Most of the clocks tend to be modern and not antique. Strangely, I stopped by to ask if he would work on a couple of my antique clocks. The owner was not there, but a woman in the mall offered to answer my questions. i went into some detail about what needs to be done. Strangely, she told me that the clock shop fellow doesn't work on antique clocks. ?????? Maybe I've just gotten too old to goody shop and I only bought 3 paperbacks for $7.50 each. But they were really super books, so... :D I'm happy. I found the staff to be friendly, fun music playing, a train passes right out the back door that you can see in summer time.
