My brand new lawn mower decided to go on the fritz after a couple months. Turns out gas doesn't last as long as it used to when stored in a can, or in the fuel tank... anyway, while the mower was in the shop, my lawn needed to be trimmed at least once. I found Goldtree through a google search, and saw they were a local company, so I gave them a call. They got back to me promptly (within about 10 minutes). As luck would have it, they were actually going to be in my area doing some other yards later in the day, and said they would come by to give an estimate, and if accepted, do the work. They showed up as scheduled, and Brian took a look around, and gave me an estimate to include mowing and trimming. Their full service actually includes more, but I wasn't that concerned with blowing debris, edging, etc. I just wanted my weeds to be back under control. The price was reasonable, and one of the things I liked is that Goldtree is willing to do a One-time service. Other lawn companies want you to sign a 5 (or more) visit contract. Anyway, Brian and his team got the job done, and about 30 minutes after they started, my lawn no longer looked like a jungle. Given their response, I would not hesitate to use them for other lawn care issues - from basic maintenance to reseeding to re-sodding. read more

Goldtree has handled our yard for about four years now since my regular guy retired. He is prompt, courteous and he and his staff do a phenemonal job. Most importantly they gather the cut grass and bag it for weekly pickup. We are most satisified with his service and with the quality of cutting and edging. The prices are very reasonable, in fact, they are the lowest in the area for my size lawn. Lastly, when I have a special request or service to be handled, they follow instructions to the letter. They were good for about 4 years. Then hired to do a big landscaping job including making new beds and mulching. No one at house to watch them so they didn't put down weed barriers. Close to a $1000 job now a tangle of weeds. Owner will not return our emails or phone calls to fix issue. Work is second rate and prices too high. This was to be work to make home a showcase to put on market to sell by military family. Now stuck with mulch overgrown by grass and weeds. read more

Brian responded to my initial email within a few hours. When he came to see the clean-up job, he took careful notes and took pictures. I needed the work to be completed in a short timeframe. The estimate was very reasonable, the job required two days of work and the work was done carefully and on time. Goldtree (Brian) has been cutting my lawn in Bowie for about two years now, as well as providing the occasional additional garden/tree service (ivy removal, tree trimming, etc). I really like the fact that I can do all my interactions/communications with him, over the internet. Per my request, he always sends me before/after pictures of my yard/house, so I can generally see the condition of the work, as well as other things that might need attention to. Electronic payments and reminders over the internet makes it simple. He's also proactive in mentioning other issues (e.g. tree needs trimming to meet city code), which I appreciate since who can remember e.g. sidewalk height clearances, etc.? He wasn't/isn't the cheapest service, but I'm very happy with how responsive and proactive he is, and the work is always good. read more

I like Goldtree for their same day service but they did not do a good job on my lawn. They promised to do edging as part of the grass cutting price but they did not do any edging. The grass was unevenly cut - you can see tall patches of grass. They also charge more for their services than other grass cutting companies in the area. read more

I've used these guys on an off for close to 5 years now for a rental property we have in Bowie. Here's the thing, because it's a rental and because it makes my life eternally easier if I can conduct my business remotely or online, Brian and his team have been a godsend. I can email or text them my needs, and they promptly reply with an estimate, and their availability. Even better is they text me when the job is compete (with pics) and I can Paypal the payment. This makes my life so so so much easier. It's always tricky to coordinate moving parts with tenants coming and going with my schedule or other maintenance providers, but the landscaping is one thing that I never worry about. I appreciate their hard work and their attention to customer satisfaction and I trust them to do what is requested with care and quality. They go above and beyond.
