Top Team has been my lawn care company for close to 10 years. It's just not about the grass cutting for me. It's about have a lawn care company that you call to plant your new plants. Cut back your branches. Create a beautiful stone walk way. Even little jobs like run an extension cord under your deck. They also great at keeping my huge yard pretty for the new season. As far as cost. Landscaping is not cheap if you have a yard save and take care of it. But I will say Carlos has always worked with me to get the job done. Carlos and his team are truly amazing. We found them last year from a mailer as we were tired of mowing our 1 acre+ lawn. Carlos promptly provided excellent quotes for both weekly and biweekly service. We opted to start with biweekly and it ended up being sufficient for the entire season. His team showed up as agreed every other week and did an amazing job with mowing, edging, and weedwacking. They are always responsive via email. During the off season, we hired them to do some yard maintenance and they were quick to provide a quote and quickly set up a time to complete the job as agreed. Carlos and his team were cleaning up leaves for my next door neighbor whose yard connects to ours on the side. I saw them when I drove up and inquired. My husband was getting ready to have knee replacement surgery and I thought he might want the info. As it turns out, they cleaned the side of my house so well, my husband and another neighbor were able to quickly do the rest of the yard. The next week, I decided I needed a great deal of maintenance at a rental property and sought out Carlos for a quote. He was very responsive and they did a GREAT job. I went to the home at 8am and showed his employee what I wanted and he did just that!! He was done in about 2-3 hours. I thought other employees were showing up later, one guy took care of the entire yard...leaves, clean up, and trimming. Since last year I have been shopping around for lawn maintenance. Our neighbors all use different companies, so I've tried a few of them. One of the main issues I've encountered is either cost or poor communication. I was excited about the cost of Top Team and also Carlos, the owner seemed to be communicative. First we purchased a fall clean up to get rid of our leaves. This went well and the yard looked great. I talked to Carlos about my plans for the yard and some mini projects I might have over the next few years. The trouble started the second to last week in April when I got an alert on my security camera in the morning that someone was in our back yard. I checked and it was a lawn guy walking around and the shirt had another company's name, so I thought maybe one of my neighbors had a company come out and they got the address wrong. Then I looked in the front yard and the truck said Top Team Lawn Care. So the team is wearing another company's shirts. It was early and we were in bed, so I got ready and was going to go out and tell the team that I had not scheduled biweekly service to start yet. By the time I had gotten out of the bathroom they had already left. Footage on our cameras showed that they blew leaves off the porch and then they left. The lawn was not mowed, edged, bushes were not trimmed or anything. I texted Carlos about this, thinking it was an accident and asked if they could start service the next week because my lawn actually was long and weedy and needed to be mowed. I don't know why they didn't mow. He said 'Our intention is to blow off debris from hard surfaces to help you keep the house cleaned, also this first 2 months the grass grow a lot, after that it doesn't grow too much, we do every other week...' This didn't address the issue at all. If the team was going to come, they needed to do all of the services we agreed upon, which I told him. He said 'You hired us every two week for grass cut, grass trimming and edging, debris blowing from hard surfaces every visit, if you need extras you just ask and we gladly schedule it for you'. Again... not addressing the easy solution for the team to come back and finish the work and apologize for showing up unannounced. Fast forward a week, I've already paid another guy to mow my lawn since it was out of control and I've got projects outside to get to. Carlos texts me and says 'We never go to a house and just blow the leaves from the porch..maybe you saw them when they were finishing, they will be in the area today... have a great day!'. To which I replied again, I have security cameras. And he asked to see the footage. I told him this info a week ago, he wouldn't have needed the footage... he could have driven by and seen that my lawn was unmowed and unedged and bushes untrimmed. Great price, Carlos was nice enough, but at the end of the day, I am the customer and if my business is important enough to you, you'd have driven down to see what your team did a week ago and not waited a week to reply to me. And now I will find another company to maintain my lawn. read more

Started off good. We hired them to come and power wash our house. They did a good job, they seemed thorough. At that time we hired them to mow the lawn. Our home was going on the market and we wanted to make sure it was mowed weekly. The first week they were a no show. My husband contacted Carlos with no response. He contacted him a second time by text, after two days of no response my husband texted that we were going to hire someone else and Carlos finally responded, apologized and asked to correct the issue. My husband agreed that if the lawn was mowed the next day that he could continue mowing, but if they didn't show up, we are done, don't come again. Two days later they show up and mow the lawn. My husband contacted Carlos again by text and requested a phone call, with no response. We sold the house and did not notice any other times that they came and mowed. We assumed they made a mistake and understood that their services had been terminated. After the house sold and we had moved we received a bill from them charging us for 5x lawn mowing. We resolved without an apology. Disappointing. They are seriously lacking in their customer service. I hope they can get that fixed because they really did do a good job the first time. I don't usually review services, but I don't want what happened to us to happen to anyone else. read more
