The market is located in the same parking lot as Costco, right in front of the movie theater. There's always live music and an ocean breeze! We came here on hurricane Hillary Sunday. I messaged the SBCFMA IG to see if the market was still happening. They promptly responded that there were open. This market is in a great location. I love how it's just one lane of farmers on both sides. The produce was plentiful and beautiful. We bought so much fresh local produce. Goleta farmers market was very cute. They are mainly fruit/veggie vendors, or at least that's how it was when I went. There are a handful of food options surrounding the market however, so if you want to grab breakfast or lunch (or blenders!!!) there are options nearby. read more

This past weekend, I was able to buy some apricot bbq sauce and almond butter from Avila Farms at the farmers market. They are also at the SLO farmers market and the SB farmers market on Tuesday and Saturday. The service here was great. The ambiance is very clean and all of the products are nicely displayed at this market. This is a small farmers market but big enough for Goleta. read more

I love this farmer's market! It's super close to where I live, which definitely gives it extra points from me. Nonetheless, it is a great farmer's market for anyone in the Goleta/Santa Barbara area. I use EBT, and they match $15 of EBT to use on fruits and veggies, which is so so cool! Wide variety of stuff -- fruit, vegetables, meat, mushrooms, micro greens, nut butters, baking, and more! This farmer is significantly smaller than the Saturday Santa Barbara location, but features a lot of the same great booths, as well as a few that are unique! I love how calm this farmers market is in the morning, and the array of fruit and veggies. There's everything from bees wax candles to fresh meat, and I am always happy to be there! My only complaint is that I wish they had a stand that had fresh juice! read more

Great way to support local farmers! Loved stopping by here and was able to pick up some fresh veggies and homemade jams. The prices for the produce were very reasonable, and they had a variety of produce, meats, etc. available. They even sold Chinese vegetables, which I thought was pretty neat. The vendors are super friendly as well. Would love to come back during the summer, when fruits are in season and they have more of those available. read more

Y'all... I can think of so many farmers markets that would POOF!...blow this one out of the water. But I won't hate too hard. Other than it being bare bones, repetitive in produce, no bread vendor, in an extremely packed shopping center, seriously lacking in variety and fun stuff (where is the yogurt? Roasted nuts? popcorn? and vegetables that come in all types of colors?)...I'm talking this place is BASIC AF... They do have a plum/pluot vender that I love to buy from. I think pluots/plums may be nearing the end of their season tho. The lady who passes out samples repeats "Yummy for your Tummy" over and over again. Makes me laugh. But that's about it. Ok farmers market. Limited number of vendor stalls, maybe because still early in the growing season. I did see unmasked shoppers but most were masked. No one was monitoring mask wearing. I'm loving the Goleta Farmer's Market. The Sunday iteration takes place from 10am-2pm, which is my kind of farmer's market. Who wants to wake up early on a Sunday? I hear there is also a Thursday night market too, but I haven't tried it out. This is conveniently located right in the shopping center in front of Starbucks off Hollister and Storke. They close down a bit of the street and put up tents, and the location means there is plenty of parking for those wanting to drive. The farmer's market has a great selection of produce, but you will also find some non-fruit and veggie items here like olive oil, baked goods, nuts, cheeses, etc. As you walk you might enjoy music from a performer, and you will more than likely get some nice free samples. So far I have purchased carrots, avocados, mix and match cherry tomatoes (red! green! yellow! orange!), nectarines, humongous white onions, and some crazy hot jalepenos. Everything has been incredibly flavorful and fresh so far. When you bite into a bunch of carrots so fresh that the guy just tore the greens off the top in front of you, the taste is unbelievable... it just doesn't compare to a dried out grocery store carrot. You remember, geez, carrots are naturally sweet and enjoyable! Food without chemicals and processing has real taste! Obviously the taste and freshness is the upside, but the prices are a-ok too. Avocados for $1, a pint of cherry tomatoes for $2, and lots of other things reasonably priced by weight. Yay for Sundays. read more

This is a reasonable Farmers Market. Not very large, but an adequate selection. The produce is generally locally grown and very fresh. Doesn't seem to be as many Organic but lots of Pesticide-Free vendors. I was impressed that there is a vendor of Asian produce! Beautiful fresh ginger, bok choy, radishes, and other Asian produce. In addition to the lovely fresh fruits and vegetables, some other things that are not common to all Farmers Markets, are fresh locally cultivated roasted nuts, fresh sprouts, locally produced honeys as well as honey from the surrounding counties, poultry, meat, eggs, flowers, plants, and succulents. Even though all the vendors are not always set up by 9:00, I prefer to go early to get the best selection. read more

This market isn't huge, and the prices are slightly high, but all of the farmers are friendly and the produce is fresh and delicious. My favorite in the fall: the grape stand! Try the big, crunchy grapes and the lychee flavored ones! Yummm... My favorite in the winter: crunchy persimmons! Available at a couple of the booths, all tasty, and such a gem for an off-season fruit. My favorite in the spring/summer: white nectarines! Let me start by saying there is nothing in this world like a fresh California avocado and this is a must (SNL Californian jokes ensue, but there is truth to it!). This Farmers Market is absolutely amazing! The produce is always great quality and delicious, and the farmers are extremely knowledgeable about their produce. Also, the prices really can't be beat. The quality of produce in California far surpasses anything I've ever seen in the United States. There are lots of samples so make sure you come hungry. Depending on the time of year you'll see different offerings of fruits and veggies, along with honey, bee pollen, and lots of other prepared food. During the Summer months when I came to visit the plums and peaches are out of this world. The avocados never disappoint (fresh guacamole anyone?). Wow has this place grown! I bought a peach and ate it on the spot...used to come here every weekend during my college days. Back then I think the number of proprietors was 1/3 of what it is now. The color, variety, smells and tastes were definitely mind-blowing AND they added free range eggs and a beef/meat stand (don't worry, it's all refrigerated)! I would say that the only thing I'd like to see is a local bakery that sells bread. Check out the downtown SB market on Saturdays too (on Cota). :) read more

While not the biggest market in town, this a a nice, simple farmer's market with all the basics I expect (fruits, vegetables, eggs, & flowers), although not an over abundance. I've loved coming here on Sundays ever since I was a kid. It's super family friendly and there is tons of fresh produce to choose from. If you love supporting local farms/businesses- this is the place for you! There's a lot of restaurants nearby to grab lunch after shopping and a lot of outdoor seating for relaxing and people watching. This farmers market doesn't get too crowded and is smaller than the one in downtown Santa Barbara. I love this Farmer's Market. Great fresh fruits and veggies and the best honey I have had in the U.S. from a farm called San Marcos Farms. It's the Santa Barbara Avocado Blossom honey I get here that is mind-blowing! It's got a complexity that is dark, rich and very earthy. I love it! You can come here and then pop into a local coffee job that abuts the Farmer's Market and keep buying local. Come here on a Sunday morning, and you will not be disappointed. read more

I think it would be a better experience if there wasn't the rain. There are quite a few venders that day discarding the rain. But maybe the best one didn't come. I bought grapes for $10, surprisingly there is still grape in so Cal in December! Not too sweet, but it was better than none. I love the Thursday FM because its little but hearty. I can get in and out within 20 minutes and get a ton of produce for a great price. I absolutely LOVE the sprout chick. She sells a beautiful bag of mixed sprouts that I take home and DEVOUR. They are so tasty. All the vendors are super friendly and sweet to my three small humans in tow. What an awesome place to visit ! They have everything here from peanuts, to honey to potatoes and all the usual vegetables, and flowers too. Oranges are awesome. Went to the Sunday afternoon market- plenty of parking and room to walk. Found some beautiful produce- left with beets, white corn, chard, and some ollalieberry preserves. They had some good looking eggs and olive oil too- wouldn't mind seeing more "non-produce" items (there was only one stand for cheese and beef). read more
