For a kids pumpkin patch this was cute. I see it doesn't have the best reviews but I really thought it was fun to get in the spirit of Halloween. The selection was big. The pumpkins looked nice. ALL sizes. Tiny to huge. Didn't even see any terrible looking ones like you usually do. They all looked pretty nice. The maze was fun! Lots of kids but we did get a little lost. I wish they had treats! That's the only thing it was missing. For a pumpkin patch it was definitely cute and kid friendly. I would recommend to families.

Lame Farms is the best! They still had many pumpkins the other day when I went with my friend on 10/26. All of the employees are super helpful and the pumpkins are so fresh! They have a corn maze and some beautiful and kind farm animals as well. I strongly recommend this pumpkin patch :)

    Cool little spot.

A charming little farm stand right off Hollister that offers fresh seasonal produce, much of it grown out back. I go for the lettuce, which tends to go bad by the time I'm home when you buy a box of it at the store. But I always find other delectable goodies. I also like to treat myself to some legit fresh eggs every now and again. The service is always super friendly and the prices are very reasonable. Like a small Farmer's Market without the crowds and the past who plays that strange instrument. This is a great spot.

This is my favorite place to take the kids to find our Halloween pumpkins! There are so many different pumpkins that come in all shapes and sizes. There are little areas to take photos and a fun corn maze. The farm animals are fun to watch especially when it's feeding time. The tractor ride wasn't available this year due to covid but it's a fun (and free) ride around the farm. They also do a Christmas tree farm which is fun for winter time.

It wouldn't of been Halloween without coming here to get our pumpkins! I came here with some friends the week before Halloween to pick our pumpkins to carve. There was so many pumpkins to choose from but we all took our time each choosing of our pumpkins. We had to get a wagon to put all of our pumpkins in because we had so many! It was fairly busy the day we came full of people taking photos, looking at pumpkins, and doing the other activities that this place has to offer. We decided to do the free corn maze since it looks like fun! It was difficult to navigate but we finally made it out! Luckily it was still daylight out. If it was dark out I don't know how we would of made it out! They sell bagged kettle corn and churro bites which were delicious! The prices of the pumpkins weren't too expensive. They rang from $5-$40+ depending on the size of the pumpkin. We also found out that they take credit cards which was great! Overall I had an amazing experience here buying pumpkins and I can't wait to come back next year! Thanks Lane Farms! :)

Nothing says it's fall like a evening at Lane Farms surrounded by pumpkins. It's a great location for a photo shoot opportunity, it's a family friendly spot and they have yummy treats after attempting their corn maze. This year the hayrides weren't an option, for obvious reasons but that didn't take away from the experience. There are pumpkins galore, farm animals to feed and the produce stand to check out. I like to go with friends and family, even if we don't end up buying pumpkins we still have a fun time walking around and taking photos.

Prior to this year I wasn't aware that Lane Farms had Christmas trees! We went to get out tree and all of the staff was so helpful and knowledgeable and truly cared about the tree they were sending home with you. They tied it to our car for us and were great! We go every year for pumpkins and the corn maze but will definitely be back for trees!

This is the only pumpkin patch in town that has a corn maze. I like coming here every year to take pictures next to the scarecrow and go through the corn maze. Even though it's the same maze every year, it's always fun to do. They have a variety of pumpkins in different sizes. The smallest pumpkin starts from $5. They even have a little tractor ride that goes around the whole patch and a little petting zoo. I recommend coming here earlier in the month or on weekdays, because it gets really crowded during weekends.

Although I hail from a place where tractor rides were legitimately the only way to get to the pumpkin patch (shoutout to all my Midwesterners out here!), Lane Farms is the only place that gives me the same kind of vibes the pumpkin patches of my childhood gave me. Although small, Lane Farms has a corn maze, tractor ride, some small farm animals & wagons in addition to their pumpkin patch. Although the pumpkins have been pre-picked (from their patch literally a mile down Hollister) they arrange them in a way that gives you the idea of hunting for the perfect pumpkin through the field. They offer a variety of pumpkins (carving, decorative, eating), squash, and corn to fulfill every Californians' secret rural desires. Free admission, all you have to do is pay for the items you purchase. Parking it limited so you may be regulated to the street depending on the time of day you visit. Lane Farms is one of those places that is fun for all ages - little kids love to run up and down the aisles of pumpkins and young women (like myself) love taking pictures in them. I haven't been other than Halloween/fall season so I will make sure to update if I get a chance to come for their other seasonal activities!

I've tried many spots and even a place like the Lure Fish house can't compare. Theirs is honestly flavorless compared to Santa Cruz market.. Their guac is also delicious! The only thing they don't have is cardamom but I visit Oriental Market for that. Also their bean sprouts are the best in the local area. I've checked sprouts, Ralph's, and even Oriental but they always are watery.. i think they don't store them right or receive the shipment properly. I've been an SGO subscriber for about 6 months and I love this organic produce service. I pick up…read moremy box on Wednesdays next to Lighthouse Coffee on the Mesa. I get the regular box with an add-on bag of mushrooms and every other week, a dozen eggs. There's kale almost weekly, which is the one veggie I don't really like, but it's still working for me. My neighbor, the vegan, loves kale and so every week, I redirect the kale to the vegan. In return, the vegan keeps gifting me wonderful things that she's growing, like passionfruit and celery. Yesterday, it was Santa Rosa plums! So, while I can't stand kale, it's still working for me to have it in the box!!! It's summer as I write and the SGO tomatoes have been spectacular. Tomatoes are my marooned-on-an-island food, and being from the south, I'm picky about my tomatoes. This week, there were 3 big yellow heirlooms in the box, which is perfect for my gerdy husband and his need for low-acid produce. In addition, there were about 25 medium to giant cherry tomatoes that were the sweetest, juiciest mouth-sized morsels ever. No salt needed. Hubby and I have been snacking on them straight outta the bowl for 2 days. Other notables in this week's organic box were beautiful broccoli, red leaf lettuce, onions, 3 gorgeous deep red peppers, 2 cukes, carrots, and a nice supply of sweet, juicy strawberries. I have to mention how wonderful it is to have unusual fresh mushrooms each week. I used to buy portobellos weekly, but now I'm using shitakes, maitakes, oysters, lion's mane, and other cool varieties in our soup. And come spring, I can't wait for a weekly stash of chanterelles to arrive again! It's also super easy to manage the SGO orders online. I've been out of town a few times since subscribing and it has been super easiy to login and stop my order for a week. And if you can't figure it out, it's easy to email Carolyn, who is incredibly responsivle and makes communication a breeze. Another thing I love about this service is that Carolyn writes a weekly blog about how things are going/growing at the Givens Farm. It was interesting, for example, to read about how the rains this year affected the strawberries and other produce. In the blog, she lists what each week's box will include, so you can be thinking ahead about what you're going to do with a spaghetti squash, leeks, fennel, or yams. Carolyn typically throws in a recipe with each blog for something in the box. I hope to be able to subscribe to SGO for a long time. Hubby and I are surely enjoying their combination of delicious organic produce and world-class service each week.
