We rented a golf cart and had issues not once, but twice--first the original cart broke down, and then the replacement failed as well. There was no after-hours service or emergency contact, leaving four of us stranded on the beach for an hour before we were finally towed back by a bystander. When we requested a refund due to the significant disruption to our trip, they only offered a refund for half a day, which we feel is completely unacceptable. Would not recommend. read more

We rented a cart from these people last weekend. The cart was an older cart and the bars for the roof were obviously welded in several places. We returned the cart last Sunday and this morning I see a charge for $716 to my credit card. That is in addition to my $200 deposit. I called and they said that was for damage to the rails. In there contract it says I would be responsible for "vandalism, fire, theft or neglect," none of which occurred. When I called this morning I was told the owner would call me back. So far, no word. As a business owner myself, I am shocked that they would run my card without contacting me to discuss the situation. I will let you know the resolution of this matter. read more

Great golf cart rental company! Handled everything over the phone, delivered & picked up. Easy process & experience!

I want to start off by saying, I didn't personally rent from this place but someone who was renting the house I was in did and that how this story came about. I rented a house in crystal beach with some friends for 4 days on the 3rd day, someone from this company came to drop off a golf cart for someone else. We told the gentleman that we didn't order cart and he then left and went to the neighbors about 5 mins later, he comes back again and proceeds to walk up to the house without permission looking for this person. The customer last name was Hispanic and a couple of my friends are Hispanic, he assumed we knew the customer because of that. After we tell him again that we didn't order the golf cart, he gets very upset and calls the customer the N word in front of us (we are all minorities by the way). He then stomps off cussing at his co worker to load the cart back up. It was an horrifying experience and its unfortunate that it seemed like the norm for this company. read more

Only business with rentals available this weekend with very short notice. They do not deliver everywhere over peninsula so it's easiest to call to confirm. They did not answer when I first called but they did call back fairly quickly - their main competitor does not. They do not require deposit but ask a call back to cancel. For same day delivery, you'll need to arrive before closing - they have no other option - but that seems the norm. We arrived after 5 so we did not get cart until next morning. They have a weekend minimum rental for 2 days so we had to pay the extra day but I felt it was worth it. It arrives full & you pay for any fill up required when they pick it up. They charge 10 cents per gallon over what the station charges, and we did not empty tank so it was well worth letting them fill it up. The golf cart was typical used with upgraded wheels. Some surfaces were worn but everything was functional and we had no issues. It had power to get 3 of us through any loose sand we encountered. The only issue that could be had is that the cart seemed like the slowest on the beach. It isn't that much slower but we always had someone on our tail and the pack in front of us inching away from us. I would easily rent from here again. read more

We are staying on Crystal Beach in a $90,000 Mercedes Sprinter Van custom built we have cash money and credit cards and this company refused to rent to us because we aren't renting a cabin or a RV spot. How ridiculous is that. I love coming down to Bolivar Peninsula to get a great escape from our hectic life back home...thanks Golf Cart Connection for ruining the perfect opinion I had of this area.
