I called the "Golf Cart Guy " on 2/11 about repairing the front left wheel on my golf cart. He said he couldn't book me until the following week. I said OK, and he took my information. He also said if he had a cancellation, he'd call me. A week passed, and we didn't hear from the guy. On the day he said we were booked, my girlfriend called and asked when he was coming. He was rude to her and acted as though he never heard from us. I won't elaborate on how rude he was to her and myself, when sg=he handed me the phone. I will say don't deal with this tool. read more

Henry is a very rude and shady guy who doesn't give any ample guarantee on the parts he installs. Be WARNED he will only give you a 1-year warranty on a battery install. He himself said a battery should last 4-5 years but will not warranty the battery for more than 1 year. This is absurd and a total ripoff. I wouldn't be surprised if the battery wasn't even new when he installed it. Then he wanted to charge me over $260 to put another battery in with still only a 1-year warranty. This guy must think we're all fools. Then he charges me $40 to tell me what I already knew that the battery was no good, I hope you choke on that $40. Then if you confront him he will start verbally abusing you. What a horrible person this guy is and I WARN you don't do business with this guy. He is just looking to rob vulnerable Villagers. I paid $218 for a routine golf cart maintenance service. Three weeks later my cart just stopped running. Naturally, it was after dark and in a remote location. Turns out the spark plug had come out the socket! The threads on it were somewhat worn, and it was definitely not a new plug. I cannot recommend using The Golf Cart Guy. His prices are too high and the quality of work is suspect. read more

I called this business to ask if they could attach a light bar to my golf cart. The guy told me to expect to pay $120 to start with. He said I would be "on the clock" at $40 per hour after that. Herny(golf cart guy) is simply great and very knowledgeable. I am in Del Mar, having trouble with my electric golf cart which lacked power to go uphill. Gave him a call, set up the appointment and he showed up right on time at my driveway the next day with a spotless truck that was organised and well stocked with all different parts. Gonna make this one review two. My golf cart charger crapped out and I took it to A-1 golf carts in Oceanside. After terrible customer service and two and a half weeks of them bsing me and not taking the proper time to fix my charger, I finally gave up and told them to forget it and I would pick my charger up. SAVE YOURSELF THE TIME AND HEADACHE, DONT GO THERE! They lie, rip people off, and have no customer service. The same day I picked it up from A-1 I looked up Henry and gave him a call. He was right down the street working at a golf course so I was able to meet up and give him the charger. He stopped was he was working on and took the charger apart and was shocked at how A-1 sloppily took apart the inside of the charger and didn't even put it back together. I left it with Henry and he said he would do his best to repair it. He went above and beyond trying to put it back together and get it to work. He tried every trick in the book, but the charger was cooked and after leaving it with A-1 there's no telling what they did to it. He was even nice enough to bring it back to my house in Oceanside and try a few last things to get it to work. He also did a free inspection on my cart and gave me very helpful information about taking care of my new batteries and servicing my cart. Henry is the type of guy you can trust and I never once felt like he was trying to rip me off or he didn't know what he was talking about. Henry you have a customer for life. I would strongly recommend anybody to call The Golf Cart Guy with any golf cart problems, you won't be disappointed. Our golf cart was in need of repair. Wasn't sure how much money I'd need to spend to get it back in tip top shape and hadn't used any local repair shops before so had no idea who to turn to. After finding Henry (Golf Cart Guy) in a Google search and knowing that he specialized in mobile repair, we gave him a call. He was very helpfull on the phone and found a convenient time (weekend for us) to come to the house and look at the cart. I was sure I needed to replace all 6 batteries, replace the brakes and replace a few tires. Henry did a thorough job diagnosing the problems and to my pleasant surprise, I only needed one battery, one tire, some brake adjustments and some standard maintenance. He could have easily told me I needed to replace all 6 batteries and I wouldn't have doubted it. He was knowledgeable, professional, thorough and best of all........ honest.
