My family and I went in to get the set of Callaway XR 13. We walked saw two staff members who neither one greeted us, one in fact continued stare at his phone as he sat on the counter of the store. We walked around for a bit then I walked back to the front and asked for help, I stated online says you have 3 sets in stock. The kid up front said online was wrong and to maybe try Dicks instead. He didn't bother to even look it up on the computer in front of him. There is no value in going here, in town in the PGA store, a handful of nice clubhouses and Dicks. Nothing is discounted and they don't even have customer service, I wish I could be paid to do nothing all day as well. read more

Time to get serious again about golfing and that means in search of new everything from clubs in the bag, to accessories like balls and bag itself. Outside pro shop at local courses, we only have two "box store" choices here in Boise. I almost did not give Golf Galaxy a chance from the couple poor reviews and stigma of being a national chain. However, those poor reviews seem outdated regarding some older grumpy salesperson no longer there. My experience, I have been in the store about half a dozen times in the past two months. Each time I was greeted warmly and received great customer service and assistance. Last time I bought a complete new bag of clubs I just grabbed something standard off the shelf at a box store and always wondered if they were right fit for me. This time I wanted to go through a professional fitting to understand if that was the best option. I booked a session and Richard who helped me was amazing, super nice guy and very knowledgeable in fitting. It didn't take him long at all to find the right head/shaft combos and dialed in my results. In the end, the off the shelf clubs were very far off from proper fit for me and custom order was by a country mile the right choice. The club shop is also full featured and does a good job as well. They have a huge selection of grips, and I had them cut down and re-grip a putter and chipper. Ignore the old poor reviews, give them a try. There selection and staff have treated me very well, zero complaints here. read more

I walked into the store looking for a lady's golf glove with a ring hole. There were at least 6 associates there. I couldn't find what I needed so I went to the front and there were two guys checking out and 4 others just standing there talking to each other. One said we will be right with you. I waited another 5 minutes and I felt like I was invisible so I walked out. I'm not going to give my money to a store who doesn't value their customers. read more

I've been looking to get into the game of golf for a while now and finally decided to go down and get some advice on clubs and where I should start. I saw another Yelp review and the person mentioned a stigma with "mainstream" companies and to be honest this place wasn't my first choice either. I had a really bad experience in the first place I went to, so with my hopes not the highest I decided to check out this Golf Galaxy. I'm very pleased I did. I was greeted and shown to someone who could help me with my needs. Tony was the gentleman who helped me and I honestly can't thank him enough. He took great care of me and helped with any questions I had. He let me test out some irons, and drivers and even helped with some putter questions I had. It's people like Tony who take a terrible experience at a competing store and completely wipe it away with such a great experience. The moral of the story everyone at Golf Galaxy was very friendly to me. Shout out Tony for being a great guy, I'll definitely be coming back! read more

I hate this place, I will never come back. People know nothing about golf and act like they do, I asked them to change my lie angles upright 1/2 a degree and instead the put them down 1 full degree, I wonder why I've been hitting cuts with my wedges and not my irons, and when I get new grips they are off line by a good margin. A blind man could do a better job working there. Love to see it. read more

Golf Galaxy - Golf Equipment Near Me - BOISE, Idaho

Took my son here to get fitted for new irons and it was a disaster. They "said" they sent the info to Taylormade and when the clubs came in they were 5 1/2" too long and stiff shafts. My son is 8 years old. I took him to GolfTech to get fit and they said the head wasn't even bent to 4° like they were supposed to be. I just left GolfGalaxy and they didn't seem to care at all. If you don't know how to fit junior golfers don't fit junior golfers. I sped thousands of dollars a year between Golf Galaxy and Dicks and that ends today. The "I don't give a shit" attitude was not a Welcoming response. The wanna be pro old man tried to tell me they right as well. Just a bunch of clueless hackers here, except for Richard who I requested to fit my son but he wasn't available. Richard is a nice guy and I hope he finds another job somewhere else. read more

I scheduled club fittings for myself and my wife. Then a few days later I read the reviews. It made me a bit nervous but we went anyways. I was fitted by Paul and my wife was by Richard. We were both extremely satisfied with the service and knowledge from them and the service of other staff. We had a blast and both bought new iron sets. When we got to where we were staying (we live 4 hours away) we started putting our new irons in our bags. I noticed one of mine had what appeared to be a casting crack and that made me thoroughly inspect my wife's as well. I found a small chip in one of hers. I instantly thought "here's where we are going to be disappointed with this place". I called them and they said they would be open another hour and to bring them in. The person that answered the phone had already notified the store manager by the time I got there. The associate at the counter called for him when I told him why I was there. The manager instantly came to the front. He was extremely courteous and inspected the two clubs with me. He went in the back and got a new replacement for each and put my new grip back on my new club. After I had read the previous reviews I thought they would argue or refuse to replace my clubs. But no disagreement at all. My wife's was probably cosmetic only and it was very small but they replaced it for piece of mind anyways. We are extremely pleased with golf galaxy and will be going back next time we are in the area. read more

Customer Service: I left the store with two different experiences: The older sales person, Dan, greeted me right away and helped me locate some items, was very good and attentive. But when I came up to the counter, 3 clerks were talking, one of them seemed more interested in talking with and watching the younger sales girl. None of them turned around or acknowledged me. Then the younger tall man, said "I can't wait to get out of this hole". This is unacceptable and the younger staff did not have a clue about how to do their job. This store needs solid, professionally driven sales training. read more

This place blows! Does not even come close to Golf Super Store in big cities. This place is nothing more than an expanded Dick's golf section and in this town that means next to nothing. I wonder how long it will take until this place joins the "Now Closed" section of this defunct Center. Small selection of anything including golf attire. Along with the cracky, old salesman that seem very tried and bored. Very sad! read more

I had purchased a basic box set for my wife and she decided that she would like a little better equipment. We went to the store and waited about 25 minutes to get some help. After my wife explained what she wanted, the sales person seemed to think she should just keep the clubs she already had. He not only didn't care that we were interested in spending more money to get her a better set, he came across as condescending toward her. We returned the already purchased set of clubs and found a competitor who was interested in explaining the differences to her, opening boxes and letting her test out the different clubs and in the end, selling us a set of Callaway Solare clubs for 25% less than these guys offer it at....and the competitor won our future business because they didn't scoff at our desire to upgrade clubs. read more

I have went here several times and have been approached by sales staff all most before I get in the door. I was a little embarrassed that I had questions so I all most didn't ask my question, "what is a high bred?" But they answered my questions, and I hit a couple of clubs. I left without buying that day, and after payday I came back and bought some items. A couple of days later I noticed a Sale AD for a lower price on the same item from a different golf store. I'm on a budget, so I went back in with the AD and they matched the price and made me feel like they wanted me to shop in their store. The Service from the sales staff, manager and cashier has been very professional and I'll shop here again. This is a full service golf store, from clubs, lessons, grips and most everything you need to enjoy your golf game. read more

Went to get fitted for irons. The "fitting" consisted of a guy handing me clubs and letting me hit them. There was no looking at spin, launch, speed, or anything at all! BAD service! This was right after I bought a new cobra driver. I'll never go back. read more
