Service was pretty bad. I just wanted to trial some 2023 drivers and the associate couldn't be bothered to help.

Went in to get some old clubs regripped and fitted properly and was beyond happy with the results. The associate (younger guy that seemed to know more about the technical side of things than I ever will) checked my swing pattern in the hitting bays, diagnosed a toe strike, measured to make sure the shafts were the right length, and got my clubs reangled and regripped within a few days. Communication with the shop was phenomenal as well as I received phone calls with updates consistently. Went out twice the next weekend and my decade old set felt like it was brand new. On my second round I shot the lowest round I've ever played and the irons felt so much better to hit afterwards. Best $100 I've ever spent for my golf game. read more

There's a reason why this company has a 2 star... or lower... rating!!! I went to this store with $4,000.00 cash in my pocket. I wanted to buy my son(22 yars old) and my son-in-law (21) each a set of clubs and walked out of there without buying a golf ball. No helpful service. No courtesy. No costumer r ice service. Writing this as I'm inside the store, and I do not write reviews often, but never have I experienced customer service that is this abysmal. They might as well have no employees in the store. I've been waiting for assistance for both clubs and shoes for over 15 minutes and I see 3 different groups of employees all standing within 20 feet of me acting like they're also customers of the store. A call due to a concern about an exclusive golf shoe that is coming out, I called to see if they had them in stock or if they were releasing them, I'm sure the reason why I would do that explains itself... Saves me from the time & money I would spend searching manually (in person)... I was then told, that since the shoe releases on the 13th they wouldnt be able to disclose the info on if they even had them or not. Now she only knew the shoe releases Oct 13th because I had told her, because at first I had to her explain the shoe I was talking about in the first place, let alone this shoe has so much attention to it, but how do you sell shoes, golf shoes, but dont know about the most popular golf shoes that have been hitting the market? Store policy, or negligent customer service, either or, this all happened after I waited 9 minutes on hold & talked to 2 different people who didnt want to initially take my 1 question so they put me on hold for the remainder 8 minutes where I was then answered with the most absurd answer you could ever hear when it comes to customer service, "Since it's being released soon, I cannot tell you if I have them or not"... orrr is it that you just dont want to tell me? Does my minority voice make you feel like I'm about to steal something? Because a mastermind is gonna call the store he's gonna steal a shoe from, makes perfect sense. This place is horrible. I'll drive an extra 20 minutes from downtown for a different store... This was not the best experience. I came in looking for a new driver. I was excited to get my new purchase and wanted to run through some clubs, to ensure my fit for the perfect boom stick. After walking in the store for about 10 minutes no one came to help. So I took matters into my own hands and tracked down an employee and asked him if I could get some help on finding the right driver. He acted bothered that I even asked him a question, answered with "just one sec" and walked off... Never to be seen again... I was still standing there another 10 minutes to see if ANYONE would help. I got nothing. So I left drove 20 minutes to PGA superstore and got the perfect setup! Overall the selection there is good. Nice hats, balls, clubs, cloths etc. But if you are looking to really purchase anything I would absolutely try a different store with more attentive staff.. If your spending $1000 for a hobby, you want to make sure your making the best decision with people who want to help. read more

This place kicks ass. It has a HUGE selection of clubs, bags, clothes, towels, balls, grips, covers, AND the staff to tell you what the hell to do with it all. Wanna test out a new club? Try the virtual driving range at the back of store. Need to keep yourself entertained while your boyfriend is at the virtual range? Play Putt-Putt on the practice putting green at the front. Got lost and need directions? They'll help you AND be so knowledgeable you'll be convinced to buy a $150 club before you leave. I went here because we were curious about playing golf, and I walked out with a LOVE of golf. They try not to make a habit out of it, but since we were first timers our sales associate stayed with us for over an hour and gave us impromptu lessons on how to play. He also helped us pick drivers that fit perfectly while he chatted with us about random stuff. He was just a generally awesome dude that loved what he does. And they offer super cheap (relatively) golf lessons! I can't wait to try them out. Super easily accessible, right off of 75...go there now! read more

Customer service is terrible. Based on the other reviews it's like mangment told them to be nice, and they trying to, but don't want to be nice. Can you get that down from the top shelf I can't reach? - "you are making my job hard today, do you reall need that?" I thought he was joking and laughed, he mumbled under his breath and walked away. Can you use the heat gun and take the glue from the sticker of my new club? -"I don't want to but I will, my boss says I have to do this" Wish I had gone somewhere else but only place with club I wanted in stock. 2/5 stars cuz they did have what I wanted. read more

Unfortunately, every time we stop by the customer service is pathetic, but fortunately most people are able to get educated on line and then touch feel the product at the store. The guy that checked me out today didn't speak, just rang up the product and gave me the change, no did you find everything? Great selection of everything golf. Prices are essentially retail, although on occasion you can get some good deals on clearance goods. Like essentially all golf stores, they have a computer based swing analysis program you can use to test out clubs and/or your swing. Staff is quite knowledgeable. If i have any complaints, it's that I can often find better prices at Dick's. read more

Don't waste your time looking to grips. The senior citizen that works the club tech area was short in reply, not helpful and was "busy" on the computer. They used to do rush regrips, same day, and no longer offer. Go ahead and make the drive to PGA superstore. This place is minor league. read more

Horrible customer service. Two experiences with this store and in both cases the older fellow who is the most qualified club fitter there was extremely curt and not helpful. Bragged about his qualifications and was rude when asked questions. Told the other guy with me "I have no idea why you're buying this driver, nobody buys this driver" despite it being easily the best fit for him based upon the shots hit. Will travel to Arlington if I need a Golf Galaxy in the future. read more

Had an awful experience here, was looking to buy a new driver and wanting to hit a couple just to see how they feel. I was told the golf simulator was down and they wouldn't be able to do it. I still wanted to hit some on the side net, but I could not find anyone for over 20 minutes to even help me get a club that I could hit. I later returned a few weeks later to possibly try again, got the same treatment. No one around to help and employees acted annoyed any time I asked for anything. Will not return here. read more

I just had my driver shortened and regripped, and could not have had a better experience. Jeff, the Club Tech on staff, was awesome. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the product, and was helpful in recommendations asked. The process only took about 20 minutes and was less than $20 (including grip). Wow I should have read the reviews on here before I went to this store, I work near this store and will never be coming back here. The customer service is abysmal at best.I came in to buy a new set of p730 irons and was hitting the demo in their single fitting bay.The yardages seemed to be about 30 yards off on the simulator. So i asked the fitter that was back by the simulator, he brushed it off and said it was probably me. So the next guy that I saw seemed to be the one in charge when I asked him about it he said sarcastically OK smirked and then said thanks. After about 15 minutes I realized that someone had turned up the wind on the simulator, so that it was simulating wind into my face... Regardless of that if one of them had taken the initiative to actually look into what the customer was saying I would have been happy, its the fact that they had no interest in helping me at all that i found unacceptable. Needless to say I left the store and am planning on making a trip to the PGA Tour Superstore to buy my irons. read more

I went to the Golf Galaxy on North Central Highway in Dallas, Texas on March 7, 2018 with a set of Ping G400 10 clubs that needed to be cut down by 1/2 inch and new grips applied. Jeff the store associate had the 10 clubs completed within several hours and did a great job on the clubs. Jeff is very knowledgeable and helpful each time I visit the store. Stopped in today to buy graphite shaft extension.They finally figured out that they didn't sell them anymore. No problem because they carry them in club repair to fix customers clubs. Was told they couldn't sell me one because no upc code to scan. You would think that they could sell a $2.99 item without scanning a barcode. It's the hubster's birthday and what does he want? A new set of golf clubs... He might has well have asked to get to the moon for all I know about golf. Ok, I exaggerate. But fortunately for me, Golf Galaxy knows everything about golf and then some. The sales associate that helped us was patient and informative, never made us feel like we were a "quick sale." He asked hubster about his game and his likes. The virtual practice machine rocked... you got to try out your swings and see how the club actually felt. I took a brand new and unused set of RocketBallz irons to Golf Galaxy to be re-gripped. When I picked them up the soles were all scratched up, the club faces were covered in grease and fingerprints everywhere. I am pretty upset about this poor attention to detail. All I can say is that this place was about customer service from the moment I placed the call. I wanted my old clubs re-gripped and researched places on line. Shane the pro at GG told me that they were running a special with 10+ clubs that labor cost was FREE! So how could I pass that up? First, let me tell you I am a hacker...not a pro...I pretty much have a set of clubs older than my daughter and she is in college now....I was unaware this place was owned by Dicks Sporting Goods and all I can say is that the people here are customer service oriented...Dicks golf people down the street are pompous and were just trying to push other stuff on me that I did not want...so I left there...I am glad I came here...Shane the golf equipment pro helped walk me through the grip selection process and even told me he could do a rush for me to get them in time for my golf tourney on Monday! I stayed and bought a new pair of shoes and a new glove....again, a very laid back and customer friendly store. read more
