To Management, I came in today ready to buy a new fairway wood. All I needed was a quick check on shaft length to confirm the fit. The employee I asked was dismissive, acted like my question was a burden, and offered zero help. Because of that, I put the club back and left. I was in PGA Superstore today and wasn't greeted by any staff member, matter of fact one staff member even purposefully moved to avoid me.

Ok but not great. We got a good deal and were able to practice a little but the service wasn't the best.

I was greeted upon entry but no one ever asked if they could help me. I had GREAT difficulty determining which were the women's and which were men's golf shoes-and once I thought I had that figured out I found men's shoes in that area. There weren't a lot of options. Clothing was expensive and limited in sizes. In the clothing sales area I think the men's and women's clothing was mixed together. In the gloves area there were few women's if I was guessing correctly on which aisle I was in. Signage would have assisted a lot. read more

I went to the Plano store to buy two new hybrid clubs. I asked for help at the service desk. He told me they could schedule a fitting NEXT WEEK. I told him today was my birthday and really wanted to buy the clubs today. No joy. No one else seemed to want to help me. I walked around for 45 minutes, and still no one tried to help. Today I walked in to the store looking for some mizuno 245s, found a set of 5 on the used rack for 1150.00, walked over to new rack 7 clubs for 1150.00. Ask a clerk why is the set of 7 new clubs are the same as the 5 used clubs, solid reply it's the shafts, that makes the difference. Looked at the shafts same identical shaft mid launch S300, went to another guy, he looked liked a mgr, he said well, I can do 850.00 for the 5 used. Well I took out my phone, calculated and showed the manager so for 5 clubs you want me to pay 170 per club, for the 7 new you want me to pay 164 a club, how does this even make sense I asked. Then after he said man that doesn't make sense he said 140 a club. I said interesting, I have been to 3 other stores looking, the 3 other stores have offered over 400 for my set. PGA is running a deal extra 50% on top of your trade, I got the butterflies in my belly. took my set to the desk, 270 plus 50% total for trade 367, math isn't perfect but that was the total for trade. I said what I have been offered 400 from 3 other stores how is it less with the extra 50%. I have been a loyal shopper at PGA, this is a bad way to do business. who ever came up with the extra 50% deal should be fired. read more

I had a friend of mine recommend this location to me based on a previous experience that he had with one of the employees. He told me to walk in and ask for Alex Hayes, so I did just that. I walked in as a blank slate, simply telling Alex that I was looking to revamp my bag and transition to clubs with modern technology that fit me better in terms of sizing, stiffness, feel, etc. Alex took what little information I gave him and ran with it. He did a fantastic job fitting me for a new driver, Fairway Woods, and 4i-SW. He proved to be exceptionally knowledgeable, personable, and patient while working with me. I was in this store on Saturday to exchange a shirt I purchased for my husband and was not finding the size he needed. An associate, Lauren came by and ask me if I was finding everything OK. I said No and honestly not expecting any response as I get from any retail store. Lauren checked to see if any locations had his size, nada. She checked online and success! Fore! Anyone that knows me knows that golf is my favorite sport. PGA Superstore is a great place to expand your horizons and see what the wonderful world of golf has to offer. From what I've experience, everyone that works there seems to be a golfer and loves golf. My latest visit was getting a few clubs re-shafted and re-gripped, this experience of course turned into buying a couple shirts, a new glove and black PING hat. My golf clubs were purchased here and when it's time to upgrade I'll come back here again. I purchased my wife's clubs here as well. I loved how when I went to purchase my wife's clubs without here there, the pro told me I should bring her back before making a purchase. I explained that she was not a big time golfer and what type of club I purchased wasn't super important. His answer was that if she's going to use the club, you should get her buy in on the selection since it will impact how she plays. Bravo for wise words, she loves her clubs and still uses them. I've purchased 2 sets of clubs for my kids here as well, they are equally pleased and love the sport. It's hard to write about a PGA Superstore and keep a level conversation since everything about this store is golf and more golf. The average golfer walks in this store and its wonderfully overwhelming, like a dream. I am writing this review because Kellen may be the best golf store employee I've ever encountered. I came in to find a putter for my 6 year old son. Like every kid that walks in this store, he absolutely loves to putt on the large putting green while I try out different putters. We must have spent 20 minutes putting. During that time I noticed an excited and encouraging voice helping one customer after the other. If you're like me and you visit golf stores frequently, you know the most dreaded encounter is with the "I know everything. I'm a scratch golfer and you're a mere mortal." employee who manages to offend and make you feel stupid at the same time. We all know THAT guy. We all know that nowadays, golf store employees are 80% that guy. Well, not to my surprise, Kellen is better than scratch, but to my surprise, he was an absolutely awesome human being. We stuck up a conversation while I was putting and he gave me some great tips on my swing. He even encouraged my son who was struggling to make putts, and just had the most positive and supportive disposition. There was nothing pretentious about him and I could tell he just wants customers to have the best experience they can while at the store. Bottom line. We all hate coming to places like these and having to rely on Captain A**hole to help us find the right club or get fitted. It ruins everything and makes you not want to even buy anything. If you DONT want that kind of experience, come here and immediately ask for Kellen. I'm serious. Ask for Kellen. Go find Kellen. Team up with your kid and play "Where the Hell in this Store is Kellen?!?." and have him help you with whatever you need. I just came into the store today to get fitted for a Taylormade driver. I tried the new Stealth Driver, the Sim 2 and the M4. I have to say the gentlemen that helped me named Gene, was very knowledgeable and helpful. He went through the club heads with me and explained some differences. He even gave me some tips to improve my ball striking. It's was a great experience and I really appreciate Gene going above and beyond to help me out. Can't recommend him enough. I ended up going with the Sim 2 Max. The new stealth driver was great as well if you're considering one. read more

We came into the PGA store right before closing as our golf clubs were stolen out of our car and we needed new clubs to play over the weekend. Jeb and Kellen assisted us with finding the perfect new clubs helped put a smile back on our faces. They were both super knowledgeable, brought us multiple different clubs to try, and even assisted with improving our swing. We also needed our clubs regripped and, even though it was right before closing, Don regripped all of our clubs. We really appreciated his diligence in getting it all done. Lastly, Giovanni was a super positive and kind spirit at check out. Despite having an unfortunate event happening with our clubs getting stolen, we had a wonderful experience and the staff at the PGA store - Jeb, Kellen, Don, and Giovanni - helped us to have a much better day. We couldn't have asked for a better experience ordering a new set of clubs. Don was super informative and patient. He let my husband try out various club heads and shafts. He gave a little feedback on his swing and ended up pairing him with clubs that are a perfect fit. We are older, and my husband was intrigued with the idea of game improving hybrids. Tried out those, as well, and left the store with a hybrid 4 and 5. Waiting for delivery on the rest of the set. Our son is in his second year of tennis in high school and made the varsity! However, he needed a more appropriate racket than the one he had from a "big box chain". I could not be more ecstatic about the service and personalized attention that Allen Lambert provided for us!! He spent hours making sure that our son tried multiple rackets, educating us on all the ins-and-outs of tennis rackets (who knew!!) After playing on their indoor court, he found the racket for him and it was almost instantaneous the joy he felt playing with it. Mr. Lambert went out of his way to make sure it was strung before we left since we drove over an hour to that store!!! If I could give more stars I would! I went in to get my old clubs fitted, because I thought they were too long. The guys at the store were very helpful and knowledgeable! I was surprised that this "mini golf lesson" didn't cost me anything. They were able to correct my swing, and stated my clubs were in fact the right size and type for me. These guys allowed me to try multiple brands of irons and types of shaft combinations and could of easily sell me on anything. They did not try to force any sale which was nice. I left with a handshake and 10 more yards of distance on my iron. I highly recommend this store. read more

The three stars are an average of the club repair/regrip guys who do excellent, timely work and the usually unmotivated sales staff who collectively have been an ongoing joke for several years now. In lieu of providing exhaustive and redundant detail on the third rate customer service in the equipment sales area I'd simply reference the other reviews here. This store used to provide a good shopping experience essentially every time. That was then, this is now. Even an average experience at the Access location is rare. I usually have to actively seek out store employees in order to buy expensive golf equipment and then, if i'm lucky enough to get one's attention, he typically provides only a token level of effort before resuming his bull session with his fellow employees. No one there seems to understand that this is an insult to paying customers. My guess is they assume everyone walking into the store is a tire kicker. Leadership and staff training really seem to be lacking here. After years of shopping there I'm done. I've held off on the store's offer of contacting them for a discussion of my review as I still had their 90-day performance guarantee to deal with. I've just exercised this option on the purchase I made last month and things went reasonably well this time. The front desk person was helpful and professional and after the usual search for a club sales person I eventually achieved some service this time around. Although his first response was a predictable "We're busy" followed by "You can't hit those clubs - you have to use demo's" (oh, really? NO KIDDING??) I persevered and was given a couple of demo clubs and a bay to test them. The store's inventory and demo club selection were clearly on the low side for which the sales person blamed the recent winter weather - a quite plausible excuse imo. The sales guy vanished once he saw I knew what I was doing in the bay. I was unable to locate him for a question but given my unexpected run of good luck there I used my phone to search the manufacturer's website and found the answer. So no blood, no foul. I then went back to the front desk and promptly completed the transaction and left as a reasonably satisfied customer. While all this might not sound particularly great this was my best and most productive visit to the retail sales part of the Accent Rd store in several years. Certainly beats being ignored, leaving empty handed and going to a competitor's store to make the purchase - something I've had to do twice in recent years. So I plan to continue to re-grip our clubs there as those guys have always done stellar work for me. Additionally I'll consider buying adjustable clubs online from PGATSS but will continue to avoid the store's club fitting services due to some very poor past experiences. So I'm not going to totally boycott this store now but a good chunk of my business will go elsewhere. read more

Came in with the second defective club of a set of expensive irons to have repaired by the manufacturer. I didn't really fall in love with the clubs to begin with. The repair staff was excellent and worked with me on replacing them under their playability warranty. They were very fair and accommodating. I worked with Kellen picking out new clubs and he was extraordinarily helpful and spent a lot of time working with me on various clubs and different shafts. Worst customer service ever. I came in here looking for Nike training pants and jacket so I asked the young lady in the tennis department if they had it in stock. She rudely said it's not winter so they wouldn't have it and walked off. What? Training pants and jacket are all year round and have nothing to do with it being winter or not. Her rude behavior is exactly why I don't go to stores anymore. Found what I was looking for online and bought it. Save your time and money and shop online. note to self PGA Store, there are people in this world that are taller than 6ft. As big as this store is and all the clothing that you have I couldn't find a pair of slacks with a inseam longer than 32". Of course no help around (also this was during a Cowboy game - nobody in store)....final tracked down a gentleman who said he would look. To my surprise after much searching, he did find 2 pair...and of course they were not the color etc that I wanted. This store is primo for people into golf and tennis. They have everything a golfer could possibly dream of - right down to the magnet and copper bracelets the PGA players wear. They have an indoor driving range, putting greens, chipping green, and virtual games for golf enthusiasts. On the tennis side - they have one full size indoor court. There are also many, many brand names to chose from for clothes, rackets, and shoes. Ok the best part - they offer lessons (some free) for both tennis and golf. It's 1000 degrees out and you don't want to melt your face off, this is the place to go. You can still get your workout and meet a lot of great people. read more
