Oh no... Golf Village's par 3 course is cheap, but terrible. Therefore, it's actually expensive. I paid $20 to play the 9 holes twice, but the experience was so bad that I feel like I threw my money away. The tee boxes/mats were in really bad condition. Additionally, the placement of hole 3's tee box was incredibly confusing AND dangerous. Hole 3's tee box is in the direct line of those teeing off hole 9. As for the putting greens, oh my goodness, they were horrific. They were covered with so many golf ball-sized green broccoli head growths.. so my putts bounced and zigzagged. It was really annoying. Oh, and the hole cups were giant. In other words, you can't practice anything: no speed, distance, or control. You won't be leaving a better golfer at all. It's extra sad because this establishment has so much potential. Actually, I don't know. There's A LOT that needs fixing. :( read more

Just fine. The ninth hole is challenging, and there is a big spot where a lake used to be. It is not very well maintained, and there are interruptions on the course, such as manhole covers and holes. read more

If you have realistic expectations going in, you won't be disappointed. It's $10 bucks, for the nine hole par 3. There is no Vet or Senior discount. The best time to play this course is probably in the spring time as the greens and tee boxes are in good shape. You can play this course in under an hour. They do offer a dollar discount off a large bucket of balls @ $10 bucks. The driving range is lighted but the Par 3 is not. They don't have pull carts. As you can see from the score card; the longest hole is 150 yards so you won't need all your clubs. read more

Hit the range here a couple days ago. I'm pretty sure I ended up in the section they normally reserve for lessons... but nobody said anything to me and would have gladly moved if lessons needed the space I was occupying. $14 for a large bucket (over 100 balls). I was over ambitious, but luckily I met some friends that helped me clear the bucket so that we can go get beers at Middle James afterwards. Plentiful parking. I think the range grass is extreme left... they have turf and tees in the middle and then the spot for lessons is extreme right (with grass). Walk up to the window to buy range balls. I'm sure its the same window to do the par 3 course. Being next door to Middle James is so great for both businesses. read more

Just moved to the town of Pineville and this little gem is five minutes from me. It's located right behind a brewery, the driving range has stadium lights so you can hit at night plus a chipping and putting green. They also have a par 3 golf course so you can practice on your short game. It's in very good shape and they give you a lot of balls for the range, very friendly staff and you can grab a local beer when your done. read more

Good clean fun out at the Golf Village....Nice driving range w/ discounted punch cards. The 9 hole lighted course is fun and around 10 bucks...usually not a lot of folks out there, so you can crack a cold one and enjoy the journey. Greens are simple...w/ super large holes....this is really all about using you 9 iron an PW....there may be one hole that requires a 7/8 iron....One tip, if you go at twilight or night, cover yourself in bug spray...mosquito population is crazy out there....Grab a beer at the brewery on the way out...Easy on the budget. read more

Great value - This driving range is a sleeper. The grass on the range is usually well kept and they use Titleist range balls. The adjacent par 3 is very affordable and a decent value for conditions. This course isn't in the greatest condition with poor greens, but it's really helped my wedge game when I play 18 at a quality club. I heard the attached brewery is legit and looking forward to try that next time as well. read more

Easily the worst golf course at any price. At $10 for a 9-hole Round, I wasn't expecting much (awful playing conditions). Fire ants dominated most of the greens and the Canadian Geese left massive amounts of droppings on the greens. I worked at a golf course, but anyone can see that the greens are poorly maintained (fertilizer, weed control, grooming) and neglected. Never again! btw...I am still treating more than 20 fire-ant bites one week removed from my visit. read more

Driving range and par 3 course. This place must be a labor of love for the guy that owns it. $10 to play the par 3....it's a little rough, but just consider yourselves lucky the guy hasn't sold the land yet. Great place to teach your kids the basics of golf in an unpretentious, low key place. Is it kinda broken down and shabby, yes, but again for the price and location what do you expect. Do NOT bother playing the par 3 course here. It was in terrible shape. The putting greens had grass that was literally two inches long. After three holes my wife and I gave up. The Manager saw us walking back to the car and said "That was quick!" After we told him why we were leaving he did not apologize nor did he offer a refund. You get what you pay for. Par 3 is barely playable, tee boxes are mostly dirt with rare patches of weeds, greens are thick, bumpy, and at some points there is no grass. Driving range is average, nothing to write home about. Like I said you get what you pay for, baskets of balls range from $9-$13, and the Par 3 is $10. I played the par 3 one time and I will never again. read more

This is the closest range to my house and I go here several times a week. I make sure to play the par 3 course once a week because it really helps my short game tremendously. Some of the holes are shorter or longer than advertised (I went out with a range finder one day after struggling with the stated distances), but its rather versatile as I can work on getting on the green with half swung 58 degree from the shorter 50 yards hole or I can work on trying to hit the green with a 7 or 8 iron on the 165 yard hole. It is shockingly affordable as the owner is happy to let you play through the course several times for the one ten dollar fee so I will typically play 18 or 27 holes at a time when I am by myself. Plus the attached brewery is amazing when I'm out there with friends. Most Charlotte driving ranges have very tight bays but this one is a very comfortable width, so I would prefer coming here over others even if it wasn't the closest and most affordable option read more

Look, this is not the place for golfers used to 5 star resorts. It's 9 holes, par 3, and great for beginners. Bring a beginner/kid and do some instructing or introduce them to a good instructor. Spend the day at the range, putting green and then let him go for the flags on a "real" golf course. But if you're looking for "manicured" fairways and greens go to Ballantine ok. read more

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE! Seriously, the 3 par course cost $5 and I still wanted to ask for my money back. Absolutely neglected. Picture that house on that black that nobody goes near because they don't care for their lawn and the weeds are 10 feet high and overgrown grass everywhere. Well that's this place. Greens don't exist. It is mostly sand with patches of moss or maybe it was mold. Holes were missing flags. Seriously spend the extra money and go somewhere else, you'll be thankful you did. read more
