It's been four years since my last review & the 'first' review for this retailer…read more I've been playing a lot of golf the last 5 years since I retired and it takes some $ to replenish balls, tees, towels, shoes, belts etc, etc and it ain't cheap! You go here for the variety and selection of gear. If you check their website before driving in you'll find they have a good one with up to date info and prices. All the walking and I've lost about 35 pounds the last two years so I needed some new belts. They have a brand called Laze which I like. Lot's of variety, decent prices and the seem to last. I also like that you can 'join their frequent purchase' program and save some cash. They really don't put much of their clothing on sale during the season but that's to be expected. You will find they will be stocking the latest and greatest in most all the golf gear you're looking for, especially golf balls, you will pay a bit more because the won't be available at a discount on Amazon yet. I like to get there "EARLY' because it gets very crowded on the weekends. It was well staffed at check-out and I was able to get in/out real quick without a wait in line. Everyone was nice and helpful. As I suspected in my first post, the other Golf gear store in the same shopping center went out of business.

He's incredibly knowledgeable, fair, and got me set up with the clubs that worked the best for me at my budget. I drove around from South End to come here and I'm glad I did. We played their blue tees, which is their back tees currently. My only gripe would be the 3 200 plus yard par 3s, that seemed a little excessive. But from any other tee, those holes are 150 or less.

Last summer an out of town buddy of mine came to CLT and we played a round of golf. He lost the…read morehead to his 3 wood off the tee. It flew into the woods and he teed up another ball and hit it with his driver. He left the head of the club in the woods but kept the shaft. I went back and got the head and asked did he want it, he said 'no', I don't want to fool with having it fixed. Since last summer, I've talked to several golf shops and pros at courses who do repair about getting it fixed. The conversation usually begins with: 'oh, I dunno, it might cost you a pretty penny'. I've not given up because I need a good 3 wood. Today, I called this shop and spoke to John. He asked some good questions and talked optimistically about the prospect of repair and replace with another shaft at a reasonable price. I took it in today and met with John who gave me a solid assessment and a reasonable estimate on repair PLUS a Senior discount! This is the kind of golf shop I'm willing to drive to from Fort Mill, SC. Great staff, 'can do' attitude and excellent customer service! Check them out, you won't be disappointed.

John and his staff are absolutely amazing with customer service second to none! John was very patient with us to make sure we were getting the best choices for exceptional value! Mind you it was probably close to 11 or 12 pm by the time I hit the course bathroom and those bugs had been sitting there a while (days). Cracked sidewalks. The staff is great but the course maintenance needs work.
