UPDATE (4/22/2021): Dick's Sporting Goods contacted me via e-mail, seeking to resolve this issue…read more They ended up shipping me the 14-piece golf set I saw in the Golf Galaxy store ($379.99 list price), but honored the $249.99 price the store had on the display. I am satisfied with this outcome. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Classic bait and switch pricing ! I needed to buy set of golf clubs for my granddaughter. After locating a suitable set on-line, I called Golf Galaxy on Monroe Street, near Toledo to verify the set was in stock. I was assured it was. So I drove to the store. When I arrived at the store, I told the sales rep. what I was looking for. The golf set I had chosen was listed on the store's web site for $249.99. The rep. took me to a set of clubs that fulfilled what I wanted. The price placard that was sitting on top of the display showed a price of $249.99. Believing it was the set I'd seen on-line, I agreed to buy. When the sales rep. rang up the sale, it totalled $407.54. I asked how he arrived at that price when the club set was priced $249.99. He told me the price on the placard (that was right on top of the display) was incorrect. He said the actual price was $379.99, though that price did not appear anywhere on or near the display. He told me the set they had listed at $249.99 was out of stock. He would not sell me the golf set for the $249.99 price that was on it. I contacted the Golf Galaxy corporate office to lodge my complaint. I was told the store manager would contact me. So far - nothing. I checked Golf Galaxy with the BBB. The store has an "F" rating and several hundred complaints. I've added mine to that number. Do yourself a favor. Shop elsewhere. P. S. Golf Galaxy and Dick's Sporting Goods are essentially the same store. So be forwarned.

What I like best is the range to test your equipment before you buy. I was lucky to work with Bradly Dolski. Bradly did a good job of making suggestions on clubs and supplying me with complimentary balls to try out my clubs on the range. The selection of clubs seemed endless but I found the set I liked and my son found his club choice as well. The prices are reasonable and you can get your some clubs adjusted to your swing style. My family became members of SCC when I was 6. People can tease me all they want about my hoity-toity upbringing, but I can't deny that the country club played a huge part in my childhood. Tennis lessons, pool activities, Sunday brunches, 4th of July fireworks, wedding receptions, bar mitzvahs. All of it was great fun! Growing up, I always dreamed of having a house as grand as SCC's clubhouse. I am still in awe of its classic design to this day. The pool is bustling every summer with children activities and the tennis courts are well-maintained. I'm not a golfer but according to my parents, SCC is one of the top 3 courses in Toledo. The ballroom is home of Sunday brunch and private receptions, the mixed grill on the lower level is for casual dining, and the 19th Hole is bar/lounge reserved for golfers only. All in all, the grounds are beautiful (I'll upload pictures on my next visit), and the club remains as classy as it was 20 years ago. If you are in the market for a membership, SCC is the best club in the area.

Great day at the Waterpark. I give this place a three and a half. It has seen better days. The…read morebathrooms were disgusting and the toilets didn't work. Most of them had no toilet paper. They also tore down the family slide over the winter. That was our favorite ride! Loved it! It was getting too old and too expensive to maintain. On the bright side. I like the tropical palm tree theming of the wave pool. They had plenty of tubes and we had a blast splashing around. The dump bucket area is still there, and the kids get a thrill counting down to the next dump of water. Today they had a zip line, and it was not extra. It was included in the price of entry. During the week it is $8 for all which is a great deal. During the weekend they offer a discount to Oakland county residents. The zip line was amazing fun, perfect for small kids through adults. The food looks and smells enticing like an amusement park. The pricing is very good. You can also bring in your own food, but no glass or alcohol. People often bring in fast food, or food to bbq. They have grills. I come here at least once a summer. I hope they will be able to build a new attraction. The slide was a great loss. They also seem to be having staffing issues. During the month of June they were only opened until 3:00. They seemed to have resolved that issue. We look forward to coming back.

The cabin was clean and functions well as a sleeping space but not really meant to cook in. This cabin does not come with a mini fridge as listed on the website, but does have an electric heater and small table in addition to a bunk bed and a full sized futon (bring your own bedding). There is also wall electricity. The site itself was plenty spacious and featured a permanent and very nice fire pit and cooking grill. This site was pretty close to the restrooms/showers, which were some of the most clean I've seen at a state park. The smaller lake is within walking distance and Wamplers was a short drive. The smaller lake has a fantastic fishing dock complete with pole holders and picnic tables. It also had plenty of fish! I'm told taking a boat on the lake would be a great experience for fishing. The campground itself was green with plenty of grassy areas and not dusty at all. They also have a camp host that serves complimentary coffee and hot chocolate on weekends, which was a very kind gesture. There is firewood for purchase at the entrance. All in all, would definitely come back. Not crowded, not loud and very clean!
