For a seemingly small store, the space is very well used and the booths are more curated than you find in most antique places. No real *junk*, lots of nice items and most of the prices I saw were reasonable. I didn't try the cafe but it was doing a lot of business and smelled good, plus the whole place seemed very clean, which isn't always the case. I would definitely feel safe eating there. read more

Absolutely love the antique store. I spend an hour alone going through all the beautiful, unique items they had. The tea room was just ok. I am a huge fan of going to different tea rooms. Some items they were missing were sugar cubes. They gave you one and when I asked for more, they gave me packets of sugar. Food was good. Nothing special. There was a god choice of different teas. Unfortunately, we didn't have the best service. The servers seemed annoyed with some of our requests and questions. When we got there it seemed almost it was an unconvinced when we said we didn't have a reservation. They said we got lucky we we got a seat. The store is so fun to browse before or after a visit to their lovely tea room. I always appreciate how they update little details to reflect the changing seasons. I love the tea room and always leave happy! The owner is sweet and accommodating. The menu is extensive for a tea room and everything is fresh and delicious. They have daily soups, quiches and desserts that rotate. If they have the banana caramel pie, don't skip it! It's the stuff dreams are made of. I usually order the cottage sampler, which is a great combination of soup, chicken salad, quiche and fruit. I love to take my young daughter here. This place is set up much better than a lot of the other antique shops I've visited in the area. It's not cluttered, it doesn't smell like your great-grandmother's house, and the A/C and fans actually keep it cool (I can't tell you how many other places are 80* in the summer!). I don't know why people are rating this place based on the cafe inside, but that's a different business. In our search to find other local antique stores in the area (after visiting Mid-Cities Antique Mall) we discovered Golightly's Gallery due to a their tea shop (which I had a coupon for in the local Entertainment Book). Though Golightly's Gallery is set up like most antique shops (spaces leased out by vendors), this place feels more homey and better designed then most antique malls I've been to. Also, most of the merchandise isn't antiques, but rather handmade goods. I have to hand it to the people that design the front foyer area of the store. It is amazing what they've done with the space given to them. But, there's a problem... If you're handicapped, then getting through this store is going to be a challenge. That's because the aisles in this store are tight (sometimes really tight - like I had to sidestep through a few areas of the store and I'm skinny). Plus, there is a quarter of the store that's located on the 2nd floor and requires you to take the stairs. But, I'm sure the personal that work there are willing to accommodate anyone with special needs within reason (they seemed genuine in their greeting / willingness to be of assistance). And my other complaint is the smell from the restroom. I hate to complain about it (because I actually liked this store), but the smell was bad enough that I could smell it very well from the hallway in front of it. Maybe this was an isolated case, but I thought I would just mention it quickly here. Otherwise, this is a charming store full of various handmade goods / antiques and you should check it out if you have the chance to. read more

It's just a wonderful shop always something different with yes upstairs shopping also. Inventory changes so it's definitely someplace you need to go back to multiple times. Let's not forget the wonderful Tea Room called The Garden Party and yes weather permitted they have seating outside. Very tasteful and fresh food and will host private events.. Definitely Worth going too. Might suggest reservations just to be sure. read more

I drove 40 minutes to go to this one store only to find it closed at 4:30. Hours posted on the door said it was open until 6:00 as did the website. I walked in and was met with three women who confirmed they were closed. I've been a very faithful customer but mess with me once and I'm out. Very disappointed ladies. Visited the tea room today with daughter and niece. I know the tea room 'Trending Kitchen' has only been open a week or two, but it is already running like clockwork! So, yesterday was my birthday. Overall- having a birthday the day after Christmas usually isn't that big of a deal. Usually though, I can convince my husband to take me to places that would usually leave him screaming and hiding in the corner. Which leads me to my review for Golightly's. I have read a blog for a while that mentions it (I believe she used to work there and maybe makes some of the things sold inside). The previous review really does give you a great description of the offerings, but there are a lot of antiques (most have been redone). If you are looking for a unique baby gift- this is your place to go. They also have a lot of painted furniture and wall hangings. The store is CRAZY packed in. They also have an upper level with more offerings. My husband was amazed at both of the bathrooms (which were super clean)- and how they are decorated to the nines (as my grandma would have said). Basically, I oohed and ahhed through the entire place (as my husband rolled his eyes). Fun times were had by all. You should give it a try if you are looking for a unique gift for someone (or for yourself). The prices are a smidge high for my budget, but I loved looking at everything! Also, be careful pulling in- their parking lot is a hot mess of potholes and such. read more

We went for lunch at the Tea Room last Wednesday. Upon entering, the Antique shop is very welcoming. It is in what looks like an old charming home and the ladies inside greeted us warmly. The antiques and goods are set up in a very asthetic way, they do appear to take great care with how things look and definitely did not look like many antique shops with everything just scattered about. On our way to the Tea Room in the back of the store, we looked around and I decided this is a place I need to come back to when I have a LOT more time to look, lots of treasures to be discovered here! We had a surprise party here today in the tea room. I've been here twice before and love their antique store, I have some really great items from there. We were able to book this tearoom at the last minute after having a difficult time with another tearoom in DFW, and Golightly's was amazing. They were excited to have us, the space was beautifully decorated for the party, the food was delicious. They were welcoming with our children. The whole experience was wonderful. We'd recommend this tearoom to friends and family. The guest of honor was very happy! read more
