Gong Cha is a solid boba spot if you find yourself in Georgetown in need of a tapioca fix! The store is beautiful! Very well decorated and Instagrammable - took my fair share of photos :) With a variety of flavors, Gong Cha really has any boba creation under the sun (including hot boba!). At this location I've tried the Taro and Creme Brulee Teas with Boba - both lightly sweet, strong on flavor, and had soft, chewy pearls. If needed, you can adjust sweetness, ice levels, etc. The service is very quick and friendly! Their staff makes quality drinks and does a great job with elaborate drinks/layered flavors. I will say it is a bit on the pricier side, but well worth the tasty, unique flavors and quality boba!

Black Pearl Milk Tea: 10/10 I love a good black milk tea, and Gong Cha did not disappoint. The sugar level was perfect without any modifications, and the flavor was great! The place is a small kind of grab and go shop with very little seating arrangements. I do wish they had more stools or areas to wait because when the limited seating they do have is full, standing around is the only option. Aside from that, I would definitely drop by again when walking around the georgetown area, or pop into another location

We've had Gong Cha before as it's a chain, but we love it! The Georgetown location is super cute, and there are digital kiosks to place your order. Love being able to see pictures of what I'm ordering and be able to easily customize! The service was super fast. We got the passion fruit green tea at 50% sugar (very sweet, recommend 30-50% sugar), and the taro coconut milk tea at 70% sugar. This was my first time trying the taro coconut and I definitely prefer the Taro by itself. I would recommend the milk teas at 100% sugar and fruit teas at 50%!

Reasonably priced boba tea. You come in & down the stairs to order on two electronic menu boards. They have a couple of table and chairs within the small establishment. The tea was delicious & will definitely hit them up again.

My friend and I came to visit this cute bubble tea place after walking through Georgetown. We had a nice experience! The bubble tea menu is extensive, with truly what feels like hundreds of options. There is a kiosk where you can order or a cashier as well, although it's unclear which is the preferred method. The teas themselves are good flavor wise! The strawberry shortcake bubble tea was so sweet, a perfect summer day treat. I loved the flavor of my purple sweet potato tea, although the smoothie was hardly blended. I had so many chunks of ice in my straw, which made the experience frankly very unpleasant to drink. I'm excited to try more flavors from here but would definitely avoid smoothies in the future!

Came here to try the bubble waffle ice cream, which I have always wanted to try. First experience definitely made me a fan. We got the matcha waffle with ice cream, chocolate sauce, and powdered sugar. There wasn't much of the powdered sugar on it, but that wasn't an issue. The ice cream was very proportionate to the waffle. I was afraid I'd run out of ice cream well before the waffle was done, but I was still able to have ice cream to the very end. It was the perfect amount! I would definitely eat this again. I haven't tried anything else at gongcha but their drinks also looked good. I like that they have cheese foam! I will definitely try that one day.

Stopped in for a quick mango tea while walking around Georgetown. Very impressed with the menu - loads of options to choose from with snacks, teas, boba, pearl, etc. Loved all the milk tea and fresh fruit tea options. The staff were fast and friendly and very helpful when we asked for some recommendations. Also - you can use their restroom as your receipt has the code to the door on it. Not a ton of interior seating but there were about 4 tables with some chairs.

My toxic trait is that I will spend $6+ on a single milk tea and then walk around the corner and spend $4 on an actual meal at Falafel Inc. Haha, but I stand by my decisions! Choices, choices, choices! That is the dilemma when presented with so many options for milk teas, milk foam, lattes, topping choices, and more. Gong Cha is my favorite boba chain and this location adds to my impression that it is also the most consistent in taste. They are fast at making drinks and I've never had a bad one. My top choices - I usually get no ice unless the weather is too hot. -Black milk tea with pearls, 70% sugar -Dirty brown sugar milk tea -Taro milk tea with pudding -Strawberry matcha latte -In warmer months, love the fruit teas - they are so refreshing! Other bits: -It is Georgetown after all, so you have to go down stairs which is not accessible for everyone. -When I visited they said they serve mochi donuts on the weekends. I picked up an ube mochi donut and liked it. -They now have two touch screens you can order from!

Staff is awesome, drinks were almost perfect, love the location! Glad there's one right in the heart of Georgetown, we were walking by the water, went right up and grabbed on from here

I have the Gong Cha app and got a notification that this new one was opening. I decided to take advantage of a buy 2 get 1 free special for the soft opening. I ordered ahead for pick up 15 minutes after opening time. When I arrived I immediately liked the décor. For the outside I expected it to be pretty dark and or drab but it wasn't. I asked to pick up my order and they went to the refrigerator to retrieve it which I also liked as other places may just leave your cold beverage on a shelf or counter. All in all I not only enjoyed my order but how effective the process was. Seeing that just under 10 people were working that day I was not going to be surprised if something went wrong with my order but I was wrong.

This place is poppin. Long line almost out the door but thankfully it went pretty fast. I've been really into fruity drinks and less so the milk tea stuff. I got one of the top 10 favorites... I forgot the name but it was a fruit tea and of courses added lychee jelly. Pretty bomb

There was a delicious coffee taste not overshadowed but rather enhanced by the smoky sweet taste of the Aren. I'll be thinking about this latte for a while. Indonesian beef rissole: 3/5 Batter-like skin rolled in breadcrumbs filled with savory ground halal beef & sautéed vegetables While I've never had this dish before, I googled pictures of what it should look like, and mine seemed to have significantly less meat than it should've. The taste was still delicious and seasoned and hearty, but it was mostly mush with some veggies and hardly any beef. While I thought the rissole was disappointing, I love the aren latte so much I'll still keep the 5 star review.

The restaurant is super cute, with a fun cafe vibe, and it's an easy walk from the waterfront. We ordered the Colada Trio, which came with empanadas, cauliflower sliders, and yuca fries. We also ordered the Platanachos (plantain nachos), which were flavorful and such a fun twist on traditional nachos. They accidentally forgot the cauliflower and mushroom topping, but as soon as I mentioned it, they brought it out right away along with extra sauce. Mistakes happen, but what matters is how a place handles them, and they were incredibly accommodating, which I really appreciated. It was creamy, earthy, and let the matcha shine. If you like your matcha a little sweeter, I'd recommend adding their in-house pistachio syrup. The only small downside was that it seemed like they use matcha concentrate that's prepared in advance rather than whisking each drink fresh.
