this lychee matcha changed my life... was it pricey? yes. but was it worth every single penny? ABSOLUTELY.

I was pleasantly surprised to discover this hidden gem in Georgetown! As a big matcha fan, I can be pretty picky, and not many places serve true ceremonial-grade matcha--but this is definitely one of them. The matcha was rich and robust, and they used Oatly barista milk which made it taste so good. So glad I found this spot--I love it!

I had blue jasmine iced tea with matcha soft serve. What a treat! I found Spot of Tea as I was walking up from the waterfront. It's hidden off the beaten path away from M Street crowds and noise. It was busy on a Saturday at 3 PM. The wait felt a bit longer than expected but it wasn't too bad. Overall, it was a delicious unexpected encounter and a great new find!

I've heard mixed things about their matcha, which I personally didn't try, but I can definitely say that their lavender butterfly pea drink is one of the BEST drinks I've had in the DMV! If you're on the fence about buying into the matcha hype, definitely give their non-matcha options a go. The service was quick and the interior was so well decorated. I'm obsessed with the design and aesthetic of the location, very "Tiktok-able"!

The coconut milk and mango paring with the matcha was delicious! I would definitely get it again. There was also a pop up with TOIMOI bakery and they had a variety of tasty and unique croissants.

Spotted this spot of tea while grabbing lunch in the area. It's located inside of a small food hall. Service was quick and the ambiance is what you expect of a food hall, esp near college kids. No complaints because I found seating easily and ordering was a breeze. My matcha was good but still a tad too sweet after asking for less sweet but that's okay. Im not the normal person when it comes to sweet drinks. However, I wasn't entirely disappointed and would try them again in the future, especially since they have multiple locations

Packed a bag, trekked over to Georgetown and ran into this gem. I got the hibiscus mango tea with a lot of lychee jelly. It comes already lightly sweetened. Looooove. The staff were all really nice and processed our orders quickly.

I'm a fan of Spot of Tea and this was my first time at the Georgetown location. It's part of a food-hall style place close to the waterfront, but it's not too difficult to find. There's communal seating throughout the area. My friend and I came earlier in the day to make it to the matcha happy hour, which made the drinks that much more worth it. The person working was really nice and got the drinks done quickly. I ordered the lychee matcha this time around and I really enjoyed it! I've had their strawberry matcha and wasn't a big fan, but the lychee and matcha complement each other so well! It has a good amount of sweetness and the lychee flavor is refreshing for the summer. May be my new favorite drink here!

Located in a fun food hall where you order at the counter and sit at a table. There's plenty of seating around and I like the drink options. I got the taro matcha with boba and it was on the sweeter side. Staff was nice given that a longer line developed later on

Embedded in what is effectively a small food hall, this is a new location for an established tea brand that I have sampled before. I was pleased to discover that they offer oat milk by default, which is Oatly and not one of the cheap ones. A hojicha latte delivered the requisite roasted flavor. The price for a fairly basic drink was high, perhaps as expected given the location, but I was also surprised there weren't more fancy options to spruce it up. Satisfying nonetheless.

came here on a hot summer day with some friends for a sweet treat and it absolutely hit the spot. I grabbed the matcha swirl soft serve and it was yummy! it's a small place and the employees were very kind to our group and gave us recommendations of what to get.

Tried Spot of Tea for the first time today and it lived up to the expectations and raving reviews. The mango matcha isn't on the official menu but you can ask for it. I love that they use ceremonial grade matcha, and the mango matcha wasn't overwhelmingly sweet. The mango puree at the bottom tasted fresh and blended perfectly with the matcha. The two gentlemen working there were also very friendly and helpful with answering questions!

Wow! I was so impressed with this place. Me and my girlfriend shared a mango yuzu tea. It was super refreshing and not too sweet. My girlfriend even said that it reminded her of a Yuzu tea from Korea. The service was also great with our tea coming out lightning fast! I will definitely come back in the near future to try more of the amazing quality boba. Super happy for Yelp advertising great new local businesses like this one.

The restaurant I very clean and the decorations are really pretty. We ordered soup dumplings and noodles and our food was ready really fast. I ordered the veg spicy and sour noodles and they come with an egg and crispy pieces of corn and a lot of boi hot which I love. The flavor was spicy with a hint of lime for the sour flavor. My husband ordered the beef noodle soup and he said it tasted amazing. Our chicken soup dumplings were full of flavor and a lot of broth inside. This place is really similar to Yu noodles which is one of my favorite places so if I'm ever in the area again I would go to this place for soup dumplings. Our server was really sweet as well.

Our order was brought out faster than I expected, with our mains coming up before the apps. Although not as spicy as I was hoping for, the spicy mapo tofu with noodles was really good. Of course I had to add ground pork for a few dollars more! To drink I had the strawberry fruit tea (50% sugar), which was good and refreshing. I also tried the pan fried dumplings and spicy wontons in chili oil. Both were just okay. I'll be back when I'm in the area to try out additional items.
