So I was a little thrown off at first because of a few things that I'm not used to seeing at any other festivals in Louisiana. For starters it wasn't outside. In fact it was inside a building that reminded me of my high school gym. Another thing that threw me off was not seeing much to eat. C'mon folks this is Louisiana right? Home of the best food in the world. The food choices consisted of only jambalaya, BBQ, burgers, funnel cakes, nachos, and fries. The booze selection wasn't too bad as it was on par with other fests.....plentiful beer and daiquiris. But what will keep me coming back to this fest for yrs to come is that all the funds go to cystic fibrosis research. I love anything to do with helping others. I also had a blast hanging out with some of the most warm-hearted and jovial people I have ever met. Louisiana knows how to party!!! Was this fest a little redneck? Definitely. It is in Gonzales right?!! Are you going to come to the Swamp Pop Music Fest for the food? Probably not Will everyone there be dancing? You betcha Will you have a good time? HELL YEAH So what exactly is Swamp Pop Music? I'm still not sure after listening to over 12 hrs of music at this fest but damn it was a crazy fun little festival.

I actually found myself wishing I had booked with her sooner! That session was affirming, and it gave me some great insights and clarity about what I was navigating at the time and where I was headed. I really appreciate Denise's warmth, passion, and presence. In 2024, I began her Quarterly Compass Series, and it's been one of the best decisions I've made. I rave about it to my friends, or sometimes it comes up casually when I'm talking to others. As casually as you'd say, my doctor, my mechanic, and so on, lol. As a high-achieving woman balancing a creative career, professional milestones, and significant life shifts, I realized I needed regular guidance that could support timing and my vision. Each quarterly session feels grounding, expansive, and practical. Denise is incredibly knowledgeable about astrology and delivers information in a way that's both accessible and relevant to my life. I always leave our sessions with clear, actionable guidance, which is helpful given the type of person I am. I especially love that she highlights significant or auspicious dates that I can plan around or keep in mind. One of the most powerful outcomes of our work has been the clarity I've gained around timing--when to act, when to rest, and how to trust the unfolding of my path. With her support, I've made major decisions in my creative work and career with more confidence, alignment, and ease. I plan to renew this series with her each year. It helps me show up in the world more intentionally and strategically. If you're a high-achiever seeking more clarity, alignment, and a deeper relationship with yourself, divine timing, and your purpose, I highly recommend working with Denise.

Everything she shared truly resonated with me, and I look forward to working with her again.

My daughter's first recital/showcase as they call it blew me away! Such talent our kids have! The instructors are first class, professional, stern, but also very rewarding when the kids do a good job. Unfortunately, my daughter just didn't want to continue on in dance, but had it been her cup of tea I would have definitely let her learn at Center Stage. I was so glad I found a place convenient to my home in Prairieville, that was monetarily feasible (you pay an enrollment fee that I believe was $50/I could be mistaken by that. A monthly $45/class and $150/costume), that also churned out so much talent! I would and do recommend Center Stage to anyone interested in sending their child to dance/musical theater, you'll be amazed at how they are able to dance and sing and entertain! The showcases are loooooong and that's even with them splitting all the classes into 2 showcases!! But it's worth it if you're child has talent and is interested!!

If she ever leaves, I'm not sure I will keep my kids there. Unfortunately, the cost is outrageous. It cost just as much to send your kid here than it does to send your kid to a private school. I would not advise going here if you live pay check to pay check or struggle paying bills. It's crazy some of the things they charge you for. All of that said, I would advise to check it out for yourself first, speak to some of the teachers and speak to other parents of students there before making a decision.
