Purchased 2 pair of very expensive glasses. took them back to have lenses changed last year with a new prescription. I went to my opthamologist this year and she said my lenses hadn't been changed from 2 years earlier. I paid $600 per pair for the change but 1 year later I can't prove it. OMG--the whole team at GooGoo Eyes is amazing and so helpful. I have purchased a few pair of glasses over the last 10 years or so and been very happy. The selection is stylish and unique and they have good insight into what looks good on your face shape. Charged me $700 dollars for lenses, replacing those in a frame had purchased here. I later began to feel so embarrassed. Those $700 lenses are the same lenses that cost $150-$165 at Costco, Target etc. And then, the first try the lenses were wrong so they had to return them. The second time, mailed to me the arms of the glasses had been weakened in replacing lenses. Wow! I would not recommend Goo Goo Eyes on Lovers Lane for glasses! I brought in my prescription which was both for distance and reading. The lady asked me what I used my glasses for and I clearly listed reading in bed as one of the uses. I paid in full but when the glasses came in they were only for distance. When I brought the glasses back they confirm the prescription was for both but they were only made for distance. They told me it would be another $199 to make the lenses I needed. I explained that I was very clear what I needed, that the prescription was written for both, that I had paid in full and waited for my glasses and they were not correct. I was being expected to pay another couple hundred dollars and wait again. The man was not that courteous and I ended up just asking for a full refund. There has got to be a more customer oriented glasses place around! read more

To cut to the chase, I get a pair of glasses from Goo Goo that I never wear. I ordered progressive lenses with a prism in one lens. Unfortunately, in order to read, I have to lift the glasses up with one hand so as to hit the sweet spot . I think that the frame that I chose was too small. The lenses, in turn, are too small to accommodate the bifocals comfortably and give me a good size reading area. I believe the dispensing optician should have flagged this potential problem at the time of ordering. I suspect the person who helped me was not experienced enough to do this. Just to provide a little background: When the glasses arrived, I found that I could not use the reading bifocal area because the frames sat too low on my face. I was given temporary sticky pads to put on to raise them. These fell off and I was back to reading by lifting my glasses. I made another appointment and went back so they could install pads that were meant to be permanent, but these too fell off. No one at Goo Goo could offer any other solution. This all played out over several weeks, because of COVID precautions (no one's fault for that!), but I finally took my old frames to CostCo and they put in new lenses that are working fine. I guess I wasted my money - and a great deal of time - on Goo Goo Goggles. read more

I've decided to take a break from contacts, and needed to updated my RX for my eyeglasses. I love my current Kate Spade frames but didn't want to take the time to go to a store. I was lazy, and decided to order from glasses.com, and wish I had just made the trip to Goo Goo Eyes! Glasses.com got my RX wrong and it was just frustrating having to keep sending glasses back that were wrong or didn't look right. I walked into Goo Goo Eyes Monday at 530P, 30 minutes before closing (unintentionally, I had wanted to leave work about an hour earlier but couldn't!) and told the associate exactly what I was looking for. She listened to what I wanted and brought me about a dozen frames to try that she thought would look good on me. I loved their selection of brands, and tried on several from Kate Spade, Oliver Peoples, and Modo, a really lightweight frame. We eliminated a few right away, and then I chose between three. She estimated it would take 5 business days, which is fine, but they absolutely under promised and over delivered: my glasses were ready Thursday at 10 a.m. and they look fabulous! I also had them make one of my favorite sunglasses into RX with polarized lenses and the polarization makes such a huge difference. The pricing was easy to understand and I felt really good about the transaction. I probably won't have to be back until I need to get an RX updated, which is hopefully not for a long time, but I know that this will be my one and only stop! After one and a half year i had problem with my glasses. I walked in and they fixed it right away without charge.

I brought a friend in town specifically to shop at Goo Goo Eyes for a certain brand of frames. He spent over $1000 inthis store yet when the glasses were shipped to him, the prescription in one pair was off in one eye. Paul the manager did not handle this very well at all. Paul attempted to debate the fact the scrip was wrong in the glasses and made him pay his own fed ex charges to return them to the shop. He was willing to lose a sale over $50. He did end up refunding the shipping but after the way he treated a customer, there was no reason to continue trying to do business there. This was not a good experience or anyway to treat a new customer who is spending a nice amount of money in your store. I am only giving Goo Goo Eyes one star because I have to otherwise, it would be a no star day for them. The owner, Mr. Peter Granoff ignored emails and phone calls in regards to the problems we encountered with this transaction. We will not shop Goo Goo Eyes again. Buyer beware of this establishment. For being in such a nice area, the experience left little to be desired read more
