What I received is a botched job that bears zero resemblance to the request. Instead of a fade, I got a buzz cut. I now look like Ellen DeGeneres (which was not the goal) and it will take at least a month for this to grow out. But the real kicker wasn't just the haircut, it was the bizarre, surreal commentary that came with it. Mid-butchering, she told me that if I liked this haircut, I should take a picture of it so she could "recreate it next time." The irony was staggering. She couldn't work off the three clear photos I provided, but expected me to document her mistake for her own future reference? She followed this with the baffling philosophy that "it's always a risk" coming to a new place and that it "takes a couple haircuts to dial it in." This isn't a high-stakes relationship; it's a haircut. It is reasonable to expect basic competence the first time, especially for something so common. I left looking ridiculous and feeling ripped off. I will not be back to help her "dial it in." Avoid.
