I went in and spoke to Travis and made an appointment letting him know I wanted a bat tattoo. When I came back for my appointment, Travis had a drawing he had made of a bat. It was an expected surprise. The drawing he did was of a little bat hanging upside down from a branch. Well, I brought my drawing I had made and he used my drawing. He tattooed my drawing exactly. It was amazing. I was extremely pleased. When I got home, I had to call back and let Travis know, I wanted him to tattoo the drawing he had done!!! I have one each calf. I call them Stella and Luna. This being said, I have many tats and Lex has done the majority of them. I love his work, his color work is pretty solid and for what I wanted, he was honest and fair. He is also very charitable. The shop is clean and pretty chill. They are also pretty decently priced. You can also generally get an appointment as they do not have a waitlist. Here are my complaints. 1) The hours are strange. You are hard pressed to find them actually there. Call before you come. 2) They are slow to get back on web inquiries and their website is very dated. 3) If you don't know where you are going, you are going to get lost. Finally, I would say, that for a small unknown tattoo shop in the suburbs, they are a hidden gem.

She was collaborative and unafraid to share her expertise to make sure the final product was something that was stunning and I would love. The original tattoo had a special meaning but was done in a very impulsive way, so I ended up disappointed as time passed. Andrea was able to take into account the sentimental aspects and rework it into a gorgeous tattoo that better suits me and its symbolism. I waited over an hour into my scheduled appointment time just to overhear one of the tattoo artists training the piercer on tattooing talking about how "it's crazy how no one's in the shop today" & had to personally contact my artist and wait almost another hour to hear he was unable to finish the last of his books and has relocated; nothing was relayed to me. & notifications were still being sent out for appointments. Jon is the piercer there and had made many comments that felt hostile upon meeting him the first time (i was just in for a tattoo with another artist and he kept popping in the room) about his superiority and hate for sex workers and particular groups of people. disgusted.
