It was just for Easter. I would never recommend they are now falling out because they were put in too tight. Warning Lauren did this. I'm not upset. I am shocked. I'm a professional that works for the state and I could never imagine walking into work like this. I told her several times do not die Any of my extensions ,is very important that you have a hairdresser that listens this did not happen!!! I only ask of the public to be aware of a community place like that if you're spending a lot of money on extensions pay the extra money go , OK for a haircut or you know hair dye with regular hair but extensions you have to really know what you're doing and she did not and I have to pay for it. Thousands of dollars which is not fair. please never get your extensions done by Sarah. I'm in shock that she died a piece of my hair that bled through all my platinum blonde hair when I literally bought burgundy k tips , Why would you die a piece of them especially that color I feel like this was done very unfair. From the minute I was seated in the chair I was made to feel that it was an inconvience for the staff that I walked through the door. The first words spoke to me were, " you have a lot of hair and you will be here for at least two hours for a cut and color." I replied confirming I understood it would take a while and that was ok with me. The employee looked frustrated as if she hoped I wouldn't have my hair done. She walks away, comes back and tells me we will have to do a strand test for coloring and that will take another hour. Once again I say that's ok. She leaves and comes back again. This time she tells me my hair looks to damaged and she can't do my hair. I leave in total disbelief regarding what just occurred. Point out period, she did not want to do my hair. In 15 years I have NEVER been treated this way at a salon. My hair is just beyond my shoulders and is in healthy condition. The reason I know this is because I scheduled another hair appointment at a different salon and I asked about the condition of my hair. The stylist told me your hair is in pretty good condition and just needed a trim. I got colored n cut as I always do and left another salon very happy. As a business owner I treat every customer as if they are the single most important person. Sorry for the long post but this salon needs revamped in regards to their staffing. This is hands down the BEST hair salon I've ever visited! I really appreciate how understanding he is with rescheduling or conversations regarding pricing. I had shared how I had such a poor experience at a different salon in the area, extremely over charged without knowing this until the service was done (to which he agreed). Not only did he offer me a credit to use at my first visit, but always makes a conscious effort to make me aware of the price I'll be paying before the service even begins. As a college student, it's such a relief to know what I'll be paying for, he makes sure to break that down for me in such a kind manner without making me feel bad for being concerned and asking. The other owner (they're a couple), she is super sweet too!! Next, I always go to a stylist named Kaitlynn and she's absolutely AMAZING and so talented! She was able to get me super super platinum blonde while explaining tips and advice to keep my hair healthy! She always takes her time and really puts a great deal of effort into my hair each appointment. The one thing I love about her is she always compliments the way I cut and style my own hair. There's been times I've been to other stylists or gone for a simple hair cut and heard things like "not sure who cut your hair last but they did an awful job." From a professional stylists point of view, I'm sure I didn't do that good of a job but she never makes me feel that way, never pushing anything extra on me! The time goes by so fast because she's super good at creating a conversation with everyone around her including myself! Lastly, the reason I decided to write this in-depth review was due to a situation I had just this past week. I had to reschedule my usually root touch up. I had completely forgotten about it and called four days before the appointment. I felt awful for canceling such last minute, but the owner was so nice and assured me it was okay and not a big deal! There's just not many places you'll go where people are so genuinely kind like that, and the employees at Mint Hair Collective really do care about their customers and their concerns. This is one of the many reasons I keep wanting to go back every six weeks. In my opinion, what I get done is fairly affordable for me personally. However, what I can say is if it was not as affordable as what I would like to pay, I know I would 100% still chose Mint knowing I'm paying for a stellar color job and a wonderful experience with awesome people!
