The inside is very pleasant, I'm sure my poor phone photos will not do it justice. Our server was very kind and helpful, if a bit slow at checking up on us, but it wasn't an issue. The food. The food is very good. We tried three different wing flavors. The house made buffalo, the Thai chili, and the citrus jerk wings. They fell off the bone and were delicious. I would have to say the best wings I've had, these really did stand out, and would say they are worth trying. They are a bit pricier than other places wings, but the flavor is there. What we really came here for was the burger, we've been trying every place that the Akron Beacon Journal did a tournament for to determine our own favorite, without nostalgia influencing our decisions. The burger was fantastic. The meat is seasoned well and the bread was soft and fluffy. The sauce tasted homemade and unique, but didn't take away from the burger. The pickles on it as well are homemade or made from a company nearby, but they're also very good and different than any you get at the store. I will definitely be back. Came here on a busy Mother's Day I have heard a lot of good things about this place. And wanted to try. We were close by so decided to have a late lunch. We came in with a few other families and the place was pretty crowded. We all got to sit. The host was kind enough to clear a regular table over a high top table for us. The space was an old fire station. So the inside is unique. There is a bar along the back wall and some larger booths against the walls. We sat in the middle with a good view of the bar. In the summer they seem to have a nice patio with a big garage door. Menu is large with lots of options including brunch on Sundays before 3p. They are known for wings and burgers. There were 3 of us and we all got something different. I got the house buffalo wings and a farmer salad. One got the cheesesteak dip, and one got the smashburger. Both sandwiches were a hit. My Mom loved the cheesesteak. And Kathy loved the burger. My wings were good. I'd definitely get them again. The salad was a mix of spring mix and brined asparagus. It was just ok. They have ciders, beers and even boozy milkshakes. Lots to offer. This place is a definite repeat. Parking is a bit tricky. There is a lot next to the building but not sure that is really the restaurants lot. Parking on the street too. Prices are about average. Wow! Was very excited to try this place out, it did not disappoint. Everything was absolutely fabulous. Fantastic burger, homemade fries, and tender wings!! Now the wings were not crispy as I do usually prefer however they were insanely tender and delicious, almost like a rib. However the pretzel was our favorite, would recommend!!!! The cream cheese and the melted cheese oh my gosh I would dream of this pretzel!!!! Our waitress did proceed to forget to ring in and bring us the pretzel until we were done with our meals which was disappointing but wow did it make for a great ending. This was my first time here, and the food was "good". I need to tell you something if you only do one thing that I would recommend ever in your life... Get a hard milkshake. I had the vanilla and my wife had the strawberry the vanilla is life-changing. The strawberry was tasty, but I have to admit mine was slightly better. Okay, so this is THE place to go for wings. I've never had 72 hour wings but now I've been ruined for wings prepared any other way. They legit fell off the BONE. I told the server I am not crazy about sweet and nothing super spicy. He recommended the garlic pecorino, which were SUBERB. I took a couple to my parents and they were impressed too. I also had a Kale salad and my son had the chicken nuggets. The old fashioned was not my fave.....it was blood orange and while not traditional, which I knew coming into it, I thought it was straying a little too far. Too much.....orange juice? I'm not sure, but I would stick with a regular old old fashioned next time. Service is very fast and friendly. We were there early, like before 5, but business was picking up quite a bit as we were leaving. The ambiance is warm and visually pleasing. I loved the plush banquette area, but we were just a party of two. There was also outdoor seating, but I think it's still a little too warm outside for that. Great, great spot. I had seen the Cleveland counterpart of Good Company on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. They had some sort of lobster dip sandwich which stuck in my mind for a long time. This is one of the better meals I've had in Akron this year. Cocktails were excellent craft quality, the flash fried celery root was *amazing* and the smash burger and fries were out of this world... we were out for a late lunch on a Sat afternoon and got in early but - after meeting some cool people over drinks and leaving around 7 - it was packed!! This place was a great find! I was new to the area and found Good Company Akron from their excellent Yelp reviews. The people who spoke so highly of this place were not wrong! The interior gives off a hip, but relaxing vibe. There is dining room room seating and a nice bar area that is all connected. Since this was our first visit, we had to go with the menu item they are most famous for, the wings. As you eat, the meat just falls off the bone, so fresh and tasty! We tried three different sauces: BBQ dry rub, garlic, and sweet chili. My preference was the dry rub, good taste and with a nice little spicy kick. Jason took care of us, he was very personable and easy to talk to. He told us that the burgers are also an excellent choice, so that is what we will try during out next visit. AMBIANCE We walked in on a weekend evening to grab a bite. We were lucky to snag parking in the back and walked right into a cutely decorated space with a bar and high top on the left, a huge round cozy booth by the door, and a couple tables in the dining room space. We chose the soft pretzel, the Good One burger, and a steak supper. While we waited, our waitress was attentive in managing our table and filling our glasses. FOOD Our soft pretzel arrived around 5-10 minutes later in a braided form and large sea salt crystals! It was served in a basket with piped brown sugar cream cheese and cheese sauce. The pretzel was soft and the cheese sauce was too gooey and unnatural for us but the brown sugar cream cheese was a must!!! Made this taste much more like dessert than a savory appetizer so we saved part of it for dessert! Our burger and steak supper arrived another 10 minutes later and both were well plated and well-prepared. While the burger was quite messy to eat given the size of the plate, it was tasty and we were glad for extra napkins. The fries were appropriately crispy yet pillowy and not too salty. We enjoyed the steak supper which was prepared medium rare as asked and was good enough without the sauce and tender and well seasoned. The rosemary garlic fries were also done well... nice and crisp and not too oily. I was surprised by the large garlic cloves in my fries, but still delicious and cleaned my plate! My husband and friends loved the sweet and spicy wings while I was obsessed over the pecorino garlic wings. They marinate, braise and then fry these babies up! My husband's burger was pretty good overall and it's definitely an item we'd order again. I loved my taco chop salad as it was filled with flavor! My friend and I split dessert and were very impressed with the flavor and creaminess of it! Our friends however were underwhelmed with their orders of steak and the chicken sandwich.
