We hired them to help us paint and fix issues related to LEAD safe requirements now required for Rhode Island Rentals. He worked with us and pointed out things that would be an issue during LEAD inspections. They were very quick to respond and did a great job. We ended up hiring him to do a bunch of more painting and he worked with us all the way up to getting the certificates required. They painted the whole exterior, replaced a bunch of rotted wood, also touched up and cleaned thee inside and addressed all inside issues that would cause a problem for the LEAD inspection. Would use again. Very reasonably priced and fair.

Deteriorating paint my white original underneath as should have been sanded off?

I was referred to Good Deeds Painting on Manto Ave Providence by my kitchen marble contractor. I have since then called the person who referred me to STOP SENDING CUSTOMERS!! I started working with a great gal who came to my home 2 times. There was a pause of time after a gave my deposit and she straight out quit the company but assured me that the company was reputable. I never spoke to the owner he didn't even know my name and that I was one of his accounts. Long story short after months of trying to communicate with owner I find he doesn't even live in RI and is in the DR I was told by an employee. My cabinets were removed and a series of processes to re-new the cabinetry to be new and glowing. Upon inspection I did not like the Matt finish but I was stuck with it. Ok . After several (8) months that the paint was wearing down near the knobs... on many of the cabinets in many areas, I am a senior and live with my husband and no kids.... The wear and tear was ridiculous for 2 people that o ly eat in 2 days a week. My thing is the business was is not reputable as the owner was so so so difficult to reach and never jumped in his car to come and look ... that's because they sub contract the jobs out, and are not physically or mentally involved with the project, with me it was no connection to the job, home and my kitchen. The worker that came to our home was a hard worker remove g cabinets. I wasted over $5500. And it's my fault that I allowed the continuence of this project and should have just lost my deposit and call it a day! People get 3 recommendations and go to the office if you can find it!

Wet spot on ceiling after the second "fix" if the leak.

DO NOT HIRE After attempting to fix the leaky shower they installed on three separate occasions, we were left today with an open ceiling that they are refusing to close after being told they would not take responsibility for the leak because they couldn't recreate it. While opening the ceiling they nicked an electrical wire and responded that my husband should just help them out and fix it because he's an electrician. They also began the job with scratching our hardwoods floors, freshly painted walls and banisters. When we asked for it to be fixed they replied that it was no problem they would just file an insurance claim. Apparently this is standard practice with Mike Checko's business. This journey began in May 2021 and we still don't have a useable shower.

If you want quality work, excellent communication, and ease of mind, hire Build Pros. We originally wanted to have our microwave vented out (rather than circulating air and grease in the kitchen) and add a second banister to the stairs to the basement to make them more safe for our growing toddler. We were also considering having our spare basement bathroom remodeled. The bathroom really wasn't very functional because it was built in pieces (so the gross tiny stall shower wasn't even in the bathroom). That was a big job, and we wanted to get a quote for all three pieces. The first two jobs were too small on their own, so we hired Build Pros for all three. They were amazing to work with, and the work they did was the highest of quality. The team was extremely communicative, and we always knew when they were coming, what they were doing next, and what to expect. Their spreadsheet system made it really easy for everyone to keep track of what we had selected, costs, etc. They helped us a ton with design decisions, made recommendations when appropriate, and made sure we were happy with absolutely everything before moving forward. Our house stayed unbelievably clean, given the level of work they were doing, throughout the process. Mike and Rouben were fantastic at reimagining the layout of our bathroom, taking all of our priorities into consideration. John, their carpenter, is a master. We went way over budget, but a lot of that was my fault. I wanted a bathroom that was functional, but the more we talked and designed, the more I realized we actually could get a really *nice* bathroom that wasn't just functional, but high end. They did a bunch of other random things in the area too. We just were so happy with their work, and they were already there, so we asked them to fit in a few small things and they were awesome in getting those done too (adding a couple outlets in the adjacent home gym, replacing our outdoor water spigots, etc.). We are extremely happy with the final products. We even had a water problem shortly after they finished. They fixed it swiftly with no charge. It might have been a part issue or a labor issue, and so in the beginning it was unclear whether we were going to have to pay for repairs right away. I would have been very disappointed if they had charged us, and have all the more confidence in them since they fixed it and stood by the work and warranty. The only real negative was that sometimes when we had to make a decision, and the team gave us a quick "off the cuff" estimate about how much a few different options would cost, the estimate was really a fair amount lower than estimated. That contributed to some of our cost increase, but in the end I think we would have made the same decisions regardless. We're extremely happy with the final products. We even hired them again and they're starting work at my mother-in-laws house this week! I'm already dreaming of putting an addition on our house in the future, and we will hire them absolutely if/when we do this.

We just finished a major project at our home replacing every window and vinyl sided the entire house. After doing some research and getting 3 quotes, we decided to go with Vinyl Concepts. Signing with Vinyl Concepts was, by far, the best decision we very made for our home. Within a few short weeks, Chris and his team took our home from drab to truly a show place. I cannot imagine another firm being able to do this as well. Their attention to detail and pride in their work was incredible. The project started with stripping our entire house of the old clapboard, replacing all rotting wood underneath the old clapboard and basically bringing the house back to better than new. No other contractor would have gone to this level of care and professionalism, and the materials they used to protect and beautify our home was nothing but the best. We have had everyone from neighbors to delivery folks to complete strangers and even to our mail carrier stopping to take the time to let us know how beautiful our home had become. The bottom line is, I would not consider another firm for a similar project to ours.
