Multiple other children went back who arrived after me, which was frustrating. I was told by the front office staff that I was welcome to reschedule my appointment, after waiting an hour with my toddler and newborn, or I could wait, but they did not know how long it would be. I waited another 30 minutes with literal tears streaming down my face as I'm rocking my screaming newborn who's literally starving because she doesn't have any milk due to the long wait time. I was offered formula from the back, which is actually a kind offer, however my child doesn't take that formula. I never imagined the wait would be that long and I would need a second bottle. Multiple sick children came in and were coughing and sneezing in the tiny, and albeit dirty, waiting room. There is no separate area for well kids/people to sit so you are forced to share space with unwell children as well, which is not common in practices now days. I was very excited about finding this practice because it's closer to my home and also my younger daughter had her visit there the day before and the wait time was under 10 minutes. I was shocked with the outcome of today's events, especially since there was no explanation other than "we have multiple bookings to fit everyone in". I don't feel it's fair for me and my toddler and infant to sit waiting for 1.5 hours for providers to double book themselves. I will be reaching out to management to see how this can be rectified to not happen again. My review is edited to show my experience and will be updated after speaking with management.

The receptionist was very nice, and the wait wasn't that long. I appreciated that they took me at my word (about having a bladder infection) and got the urine sample first, before going through the interview part of the visit. Evan, the NP, was great! He listened well and looked at the recent urine culture results I had from another visit out-of-town. He even proactively(!) prescribed the oral yeast-infection treatment to take with the antibiotic (Thank You!!!). It only took about 45 minutes and I was on my way to the pharmacy. One odd thing, given that it's a brand new building, is that the height of the toilet is not ADA compliant; it's not even "chair height," which is slightly lower than ADA height (and, in my opinion, more comfortable for short people like me). Evan had also noticed this and was going to tell the manager. Hopefully, they will listen and fix it. Overall, a very good experience.

She called my insurance while we were there but the way she worded her question it was twisted in her favor. The thing is they bill your insurance under the clinic's ID instead of the Nurse Practioner's ID that takes care of you. That way they can get the higher co-pay from you. Every 2-3 weeks you come on you are out your highest co-pay to them when you are just seeing a Nurse Practitioner. This clinic is never very busy and I guess I now know why. I'm late to figure it out. This is a rip off.

(Remember this is all happening with my daughter sitting in a chair holding her broken wrist... ) I explained again that I had talked to someone and they said "Oh you must have call Mt Juliet." No I definitely called the MURFREESBORO number.... I was met with a shrug at this point and informed I would have to seek care somewhere else..... We went to Gateway Urgent Care and confirm the broken bone but had to get a referral over to TOA ‍ Now here is the explanation of why this happens. At 5pm the answering service no longer routes calls so they all go to the Mt Juliet location. I was told well the girl who answered the phone must have forgotten the time and didn't ask me what location I was calling for. Well this seems to be problem number one... Problem two was these obviously annoyed employees in Murfreesboro that treated me like I was insane and I had made the mistake, and did nothing but shrug and say sorry we can't help the doctor is done for the day. If you know that I didn't "call" Mt Juliet but rather that I was routed there it would have been nice if you maybe checked with them to find out if they did tell me I would be taken care of if I reach the office before close. I receive a written report of our discussion and any plans going forward so I don't leave feeling like I need a medical dictionary. Brittany is amazing also. She is always friendly and can get my blood draw done with one stick. I love having a doctor who can address all my concerns and doesn't have me waiting for hours for a 15 minute check over. I always feel like my concerns are addressed and I'm confident in what we are doing as a team. My coworker sees Dr. Rickard and he also gives him many compliments when talk about our doctor experiences.
