I was told the coupon was not required because my insurance paid for the visit and no extra charge was to be applied to me. Unfortunately, I received a bill, WU0023 asking for $145.30 after an insurance payment of $308.20. The bill was sent to me several times, regardless of my explanation that I was told no extra charge from the beginning. I also argued that I did present my first-time customer's coupon for a total charge of $88 during my visit. Solon Smiles refused to listen to my repeated complaints and insisted on charging me $145.30.   I believe that I should either pay $88 as a first-time customer as the coupon indicated, plus a return of the $308.20 to my insurance account or they should only charge insurance $308.20 and waive my $145.30. In the office they wanted me to pay walking in and then again asked when I was leaving. I told them about the mess up with the bill they sent and they denied knowing anything about it. Been there for a year and found out they don't have my records when transferred from retiring dentist who sent his patients to them in bulk. records should have been there before you walk in the door. You would think that would be a priority. I swear a year ago they said they had my records. Do procedures that are not necessary. X rays for non evasive procedures. Prescriptions for things you never needed. Felt like a number. Poor communication.

I laughed bc i am in the insurance world. I left that that day and took my family of 3 with me. As we transitioned to a new dentist, my daughter had 22 cavities, her dad had a root canal and a tooth pulled and the new dentist had your xrays and showed us that you couldnt even see the back teeth.
