The macaroni and potatoes were completely cold and also taste of cardboard. The only things that were good were the carrot cake and the bottled Texas tea. Who knows if the carrot cake was made here or not. The seating: you can sit jammed into a small hallway area behind the food line, there are a few four tops and multiple two tops - good luck. We went to sit outside, with the option of two tables on a slope (one up by dirty dished cat food, mentioned above) and three off the slope with missing chairs or the second cat slop dish. A worker had one of the shaded tables taken so we took the cat slop table. All in all, would I take my grandmother here? Absolutely never. This is a slop shop and I'm disgusted. On my birthday, I visited the Midland location with my daughter, who has a known peanut allergy. We clearly marked "PEANUT ALLERGY" on the order and verbally confirmed it with the employee. When the drink was handed to us, we were told it was allergen-free. Within 20 minutes of drinking it, my daughter experienced a severe allergic reaction. We had to administer an EpiPen and seek medical care. Afterward, I tasted the smoothie myself and it was clearly made with peanut. When we contacted the store, we were told they were aware of the incident and that a report had been filed, but there was little acknowledgment of the seriousness of what occurred. This was not a preference or dietary request--it was a clearly communicated, life-threatening allergy. This was not a minor mistake--this was a life-threatening situation that could have ended very differently. I am incredibly disappointed. What should have been a simple visit turned into a medical emergency. I hope this serves as a serious reminder of the responsibility that comes with preparing food for customers with allergies.
