I can't praise Kelly, the office manager, highly enough. We had a very unique situation with our…read morefifth wheel that we had temporarily stored at the campground that involved a transportation driver that didn't speak a word of English, levelers that wouldn't retract, a battery issue, a LOT of phone calls and then a flat tire. all of this with us being more than 1500 miles away! Kelly did absolutely everything she could possibly do to help with the situation. She stayed long after her shift had ended. She shows the same diligence in every aspect of her position at CGCG & RV Park. Now for the park, they have some amazing residents, some of who also pitched in. The grounds are beautiful and they have great Bingo on Tuesdays and Fridays seasonally. Location is not far from the theme parks and only a few miles from Legoland

Let's start by saying we were excited the first year we went to this campground back in 2021. It…read morewas our first experience at being a snowbird and we had a great time. However as each year passed and our fourth year came to an end for our 6/6 agreement the campground had lost its identity and an under current could be felt which lead to our reduced enjoyment, pleasure and clicks were a major part. As the park lost their good snowbirds they were replaced with a whole different type of person. The rec hall where many events are held turned from a discreet drinking scene to a drunk festival as every event was replaced with 40 oz bottles, moonshine, Jell-O shots and pudding shots leading to a quick deterioration. Watching a married women basically sitting on men laps feeding them shots was the new norm. During our last event a hillbilly theme party one person thought it would be cool to drop his pants three times and no one said anything even with management there. Frankly yes he had a bathing suit but seriously show some class it's a family park not an adult club. The same person danced with a women who basically lost her pants to her ankles, It's a shame a respectful park became this and most left events by 7 or 8 pm due to situations. In addition it you like the pool for swimming good luck the volleyball people called Bullyball by some young children took over the pool's shallow end even when it was not scheduled they pushed their way into the pool setting up their net. This went on for a few years and resulted in several awkward moments at the pool in which management did nothing they allowed it to continue however this year was absolutely out of control. This caused many campers to leave the park as the pool kept being overrun during the prime time 3 pm even if it was not scheduled. By end March push back began and people intentionally loaded up the pool blocking the volleyball players when they tried to start a game during non scheduled times. The Landry areas are a joke they raised the price despite many machines not operating correctly including frying your clothes, not rinsing soap, no cold water only hot water. The washrooms in general are in a desperate need for a full gut and renovation. They are often dirty and not presentable for use. The true reality and the condition of park today most of the grass is dead or killed off, most pads are all broken up this includes both the pad and patios. The dumpsters are constantly overflowing as 2 is not enough for the amount of lots, in addition there are rules however these rules are not enforced or for all. This includes drinking and driving golf carts there is even 1 golf cart that is literally a mobile bar. Evidently pot and medicinal pot smokers are a criteria at this campground as no matter where you are If you enjoy the smell of pot it is a multiple daily event this has degraded yearly. It is a shame that this park in a wonderful location has raised it rates $1500.00 per season over our time yet needs serious work. It appears that there is little direction by Management to lead its employees and organize a schedule of maintenance as well as impose the rules

My husband and I brought our two grandchildren and daughter-in-law here for a family camping trip, and it exceeded every expectation we had. The property is absolutely stunning -- over 500 acres of peaceful scenery filled with lakes, wildlife, and beautiful open spaces. We spent time exploring on a four-wheeler and were amazed by everything we saw, from alligators and countless birds to longhorn steers, goats, and ducks roaming the grounds. It felt like stepping into a hidden slice of natural Florida paradise. One of our favorite areas was the shaded grove of majestic oak trees with oversized swings where the children played and "hung out". It created such a relaxing, family-friendly atmosphere that made the entire trip feel magical. The campground itself was extremely well maintained. The restrooms and showers were plentiful, spotless, and clearly cared for with attention to detail. It's also exciting to see how much love and vision is being poured into the property. During our stay, they appeared to be expanding with what looks like a beautiful waterfront wedding venue complete with a gazebo and bridge -- absolutely picturesque. This was one of the most memorable family trips we've had in a long time. The combination of natural beauty, peaceful surroundings, wildlife, and thoughtful amenities made for an unforgettable experience. We are already looking forward to returning.

We had never experienced this type of camping before, having roaming goats, horses and steers mingling with us temporary residents. They employees round up the above noted animals and return them to their designated areas in the evening, so you need not worry about bumping into them in the dark or having them ransack your campsite during the night. They have a few rope platform swings for the kids, or adults if you want to sway. Fire pits and picnic benches are standard at each site. The lake views and hiking trails are awesome, with plenty of fish viewable from the raised shorelines. You can fish here as well, so bring your pole and gear if inclined. The onsite restrooms and showers were impeccably clean. The check in process was a breeze, albeit you need to sign your life away at the beginning. The check in staff provided a printed out scavenger hunt for the kids, who can win an ice cream bar if they find everything that is listed within the camp. The camp store was stocked with items one may have left behind, and reasonably priced. We would (will) go back one day!

(The MAYOR Rob along with Tammy, Sam, and Cori helped us tremendously.) After arriving, the kids played in the pool, we ate dinner, and were getting everyone settled for bed when we discovered the camper we rented through RVshare was completely full of ants. We immediately panicked because it was late, we had kids with us, and we really didn't want to pack up and drive back home after already starting our weekend. That's when MAYOR Rob came to the rescue. He radioed in, and Tammy and Sam quickly showed up with a key to a cabin they had available. They helped us move our things, get everyone situated, and completely saved our Memorial Day weekend. It's rare to find people who genuinely care the way this team did. Their kindness, quick action, and willingness to help meant more to our family than they probably realize. We are beyond thankful and truly appreciative for everything they did for us. Thank you again to Rob, Tammy, Sam, and Cori for going above and beyond. This level of customer service is something special, and it's the reason we'll absolutely be back!

I think if you are a senior citizen, this is definitely not for you. Also everything runs off of cash mostly, no credit or debit cards. We had a 2 night reservation and had to just leave early day 2. We just forged our payment. Would not go there again. The lady in the office was pleasant and in the air boat office was also pleasant!

Ever wonder where the quintessential southern campsites are located, look no further than Camp Mack…read more- this is where the piney woods meets up with the Florida swampland. You ain't never experienced old Florida charm until you been here, the land of airboats and alligators, a place where the mosquitoes swarm at dusk and the screeching wildlife will wake you before dawn. Ahhh this is the life I love, a place where the internet struggles to connect you with the real world, the only agenda here is rest and relaxation, a place where chores are something you'll look forward to, most consist of filling the yeti with ice and can beer and visiting your neighbors on your golf cart or 4 x 4 ranger. There are no strangers here it seems everybody shares the same mindset. I spent five days here and I didn't want to leave when it came time to break camp. This place is known for its fishing and believe me they are plentiful, it's a simple recipe - catch / clean / fry. I like beer but I'm not a beer drinker I prefer vodka so I stocked up before arriving, finding beer is easy if you like the hard stuff it's a trip to town I'm guessing it at least thirty miles round trip and leaving the camp will break the vibe and there's no reason to do that if you prepare. There are no typical days here every is different but everyday is the same in the sense that you own one hundred percent of your time while you're here, it's a place you can turn your phone off and disconnect for awhile and forget anything else exist - I know I don't do that enough but I do know this is the kind of life we should be addicted too. Okay okay I'll review the place instead of the lifestyle that seems to be the norm here. Things to do: cross the street and you're in a beautiful State Park, find a shady spot down at the boat ramp and watch one of the best shows on earth there seems to be an endless number of unique water crafts being launch or being pulled from the water (airboats, bass boats, skiffs, pontoon boats, jon-boats, etc) I say with the utmost respect this place is like the redneck yacht club where everyone seems to have a buzz e.g people ride in the boats while it's still on the trailer going down the road - yes they are creeping along but it's still fricking awesome. I recommend you leave any pretentious behavior at home and pay attention to the dress code it's very easy to look out of place here - acceptable clothing includes - anything camouflage, women should have a few pairs of short shorts and a ragged pair of cowboy boots and any kind of top you can tie in the front, men shirts are optional but a stained tank top and a pair of Tevas gets you status. After the sunsets fire pit sitting beer drinking attire rules can I get a little yeehaw repeat day two and day three and so on and so on. Other highlights include a visit to the outpost store lots of beer and snacks, a indoor fish cleaning area and a bait shop, a outdoor projection screen, community fire pit, you can rent bicycles and pontoon boats or take a swamp tour on an airboat. They occasionally have live music which I hear is pretty amazing with an outdoor food court and beer for sale. The campsites are large and plentiful with full hookups with concrete or paver pads, they offer up to 50 amps, water and sewer all included unless you're planning on staying awhile then you pay for utilities. There are a few bars and restaurants, maybe restaurants is a stretch but you can buy food on property. There's a lodge onsite if you don't have a camper and still want to experience this unique venue. Theres lots more I don't think it's possible to take it all in at least not in the five days I spent here - I believe having a good cup of hot coffee at sunrise sitting in your favorite chair is nirvana, having a cocktail at sunset in the same chair by the fire pit will rejuvenate you, there's nothing wrong with freeing your soul once in awhile...

The RV sites are well appointed; my favorite sites are #4 right on pond because even if a small trailer parks next to you on #5 your view on patio side is not totally blocked. then #6 lots of shade and patio side is a grassy patch open view to peaceful setting #14 has some shade, and patio side open. Tucked away on the shore of Lake Pierce, there are several cabins and RV spots available. The owners were super nice and helpful... they truly were invested in ensuring all guests enjoyed their accommodations while at their retreat. I can see how this place would be a great destination for a family reunion. Unplug from wifi (though they have it available if you need it!) and enjoy one another's company surrounded by nature.... complete with alligator sightings at Lake Pierce and hoots-a-plenty from the resident night owl whom hung out at the basketball hoop nightly during our stay. The cabins were beautifully decorated and glamp level comfy. The kids enjoyed the "game room" and especially loved the fishing at the pond- loads of catch and releases in a day! They were fascinated with being able to find the eel as it randomly popped up to say hello. Cabin costs were a steal so log on to their new website and book yourself a much deserved rest and relaxation few days. Below are some extra points to help you with your packing: Kitchen- can't hurt to bring: Dish scrubbing sponge Extra garbage bags Tips: Broom is behind refrigerator in cabin 8 Bring paper plates and cutlery if you don't like washing your own dishes by hand Bathroom- should bring: Shampoo/conditioner Body soap Lotion Hair dryer (if you need it) Living room: Pull out sofa bed linen and pillows are in a bin in bedroom closet in cabin 8 Other tips: Gas fire pit in center lawn Many other circle fire pits available with free wood behind cabin 5/6 Bring fixings for s'mores!
