The 24/7 MOBILE Golf Cart Bar

Let's start by saying we were excited the first year we went to this campground back in 2021. It was our first experience at being a snowbird and we had a great time. However as each year passed and our fourth year came to an end for our 6/6 agreement the campground had lost its identity and an under current could be felt which lead to our reduced enjoyment, pleasure and clicks were a major part. As the park lost their good snowbirds they were replaced with a whole different type of person. The rec hall where many events are held turned from a discreet drinking scene to a drunk festival as every event was replaced with 40 oz bottles, moonshine, Jell-O shots and pudding shots leading to a quick deterioration. Watching a married women basically sitting on men laps feeding them shots was the new norm. During our last event a hillbilly theme party one person thought it would be cool to drop his pants three times and no one said anything even with management there. Frankly yes he had a bathing suit but seriously show some class it's a family park not an adult club. The same person danced with a women who basically lost her pants to her ankles, It's a shame a respectful park became this and most left events by 7 or 8 pm due to situations. In addition it you like the pool for swimming good luck the volleyball people called Bullyball by some young children took over the pool's shallow end even when it was not scheduled they pushed their way into the pool setting up their net. This went on for a few years and resulted in several awkward moments at the pool in which management did nothing they allowed it to continue however this year was absolutely out of control. This caused many campers to leave the park as the pool kept being overrun during the prime time 3 pm even if it was not scheduled. By end March push back began and people intentionally loaded up the pool blocking the volleyball players when they tried to start a game during non scheduled times. The Landry areas are a joke they raised the price despite many machines not operating correctly including frying your clothes, not rinsing soap, no cold water only hot water. The washrooms in general are in a desperate need for a full gut and renovation. They are often dirty and not presentable for use. The true reality and the condition of park today most of the grass is dead or killed off, most pads are all broken up this includes both the pad and patios. The dumpsters are constantly overflowing as 2 is not enough for the amount of lots, in addition there are rules however these rules are not enforced or for all. This includes drinking and driving golf carts there is even 1 golf cart that is literally a mobile bar. Evidently pot and medicinal pot smokers are a criteria at this campground as no matter where you are If you enjoy the smell of pot it is a multiple daily event this has degraded yearly. It is a shame that this park in a wonderful location has raised it rates $1500.00 per season over our time yet needs serious work. It appears that there is little direction by Management to lead its employees and organize a schedule of maintenance as well as impose the rules

Another successful Camping trip at our Winter Haven favorite spot, Cypress Campground. Where everyone can play like a kid! We have been bringing our G-Kids, and this is our 3rd stay! Spring Break 2015, the best campground where G-parents can romp & play with their G-kids. There is so much to do swimming, miniature golf, bocce ball, horseshoes, play area and at great rates. will be back and Barbara for making us feel like old friends and family each time we come.

Friendly staff and a decent central location for the area. We originally thought it was a RV sales lot, but realized it was both. Sales in the front, park in the back. We did come to the park durning a very rough time when the entire country is trying to get through COVID-19. We were basically told during check-in that either we stayed for the entire time we rented or loose out on the nights we paid for because there were no refunds for early departure, no exemptions. To us that was fine, since we had already decided to make the trek down from VA. The sites are tight and not level, this included the pull through on slab. To be honest, we should have scouted out the site first and make the switch to a back in. The site had three mature oak trees on the exit side of the pull through. However, if the road was wider and not a one way, the exit it would have been easier to navigate upon departure. What also complicated and frustrated us a bit further was long term residents with long campers and several vehicles and golf carts around their camp site which stuck out into the narrow one way street (more like a walking path). Ultimately, we had to back out to get out of a pull through, the irony in paying extra for a pull through that was not so much a pull through. On the brighter side, they did have nice little pool until the long term residents told our son he had to stay on the steps or go into the deep end while they proceeded to get in and play volleyball at peak pool hours when young kids would rather play around and splash. Needless to say we didn't go back to the pool. They do have very friendly residents that perform security around the RV sites. The gate was closed maybe twice during our five night stay. The park entrance to Walmart was very convent, just no way to keep homeless and non campers out of the park. They have a fenced in area for dogs that is more like a place to let your dog roam free in a shoe box, they call this a dog park. Some of the long term residents are rude and act like they run the RV park. It seems more like a retirement community than an actual RV park. We did make the best of a pretty rough time for our communities. We do thank them for their warm welcome and hospitality. We do hope that they make some changes to improve short term guest experiences.

(The MAYOR Rob along with Tammy, Sam, and Cori helped us tremendously.) After arriving, the kids played in the pool, we ate dinner, and were getting everyone settled for bed when we discovered the camper we rented through RVshare was completely full of ants. We immediately panicked because it was late, we had kids with us, and we really didn't want to pack up and drive back home after already starting our weekend. That's when MAYOR Rob came to the rescue. He radioed in, and Tammy and Sam quickly showed up with a key to a cabin they had available. They helped us move our things, get everyone situated, and completely saved our Memorial Day weekend. It's rare to find people who genuinely care the way this team did. Their kindness, quick action, and willingness to help meant more to our family than they probably realize. We are beyond thankful and truly appreciative for everything they did for us. Thank you again to Rob, Tammy, Sam, and Cori for going above and beyond. This level of customer service is something special, and it's the reason we'll absolutely be back!

I'd like to give you the positives. Crisp, clean, manicured, food and bar pretty good,…read morewell-appointed amenities. We had a pretty good week, having found a quiet pool area. Saw a bald eagle and a swallow-tail kite. I'd like to tell you about that, but that's not the review. Here's the review: if you book here, you will be checking into a bizarre combination of tropical paradise, tailgate party, spring break, and a middle school playground. On St. Patrick's Day, we had been doing some sightseeing. We came back to our site, and the folks who had arrived behind us fired up their music. I don't have a problem with music or other noise prior to "quiet time," so long as it's not over the top. This was way over the top. Kim was on the phone with the nursing home about her 91-year old mother and she couldn't hear the other end of the call. We called Security and asked for help, they came around and talked to the offenders. Whereupon the offenders started yelling around "who complained about our music?" And, they sent their preteen daughters on their bicycles going around and asking "did you complain?" Let's just say it was downhill from there. They jacked the volume even more, and started taunting us. Kim lost her temper and started yelling at them to quiet down. They responded by threatening her. She told me to call security, but since they hadn't helped, and the on-duty rent-a-cop had no interest in helping, I called 911 (which the campground rules said to do in an emergency). Apparently, that was a mistake. The rent-a-cop was pissed off that we called 911 when he was supposed to already be on top of it (which he wasn't). So there was a conclave of police cars, and the night manager, and the three large guys from the offending site, etc. Bottom line: management demanded that WE leave, in half an hour, or be arrested. It's 10:30 pm, and I told the rent-a-cop that I was in no shape to drive. "Figure it out," he said, and walked away. So two 70-year olds had 30 minutes to get everything packed up and drive to some alternative place. While we were striking the site, the kids at the offending site were chanting "we won, we won." And they started playing "Hit the Road You Jack" quite loud. And the adults were yelling "we're Republicans. We can do whatever we want." They noted our Maine license plates and told us to "go back to Canada where you belong." We ended up in a wicked expensive hotel in the next town over, paying spring break prices ($340 a night!!). And we lost the cost of two nights at the campground. So if you're a party animal, this may be your kind of place. Just don't complain about anything, or you will be asked to leave. It's interesting to note which rules are enforced and which aren't. For instance, there's a poolside bar, and lots of signs between the bar and the pool saying "no food or drink beyond this point." Not only was there lots of food and drink around the pool, there were wait staff taking orders and delivering it. In retrospect, the fact that they have a rent-a-cop cruising the premises every night should have been red flag. I've never seen that before, but apparently they expect rowdiness. They just don't want to deal with the negative repercussions.

If you experience a delay, they will do whatever they can to make it better. (I got stuck on a ride for 15 minutes and was given a free FastPass for my whole group. * The majority of the rides had no wait times, and you could walk right on. If there was a wait, it was usually 5 minutes or less. * The park has indoor play areas. * They provide amazing baby care areas (Located in the indoor play areas), they have high chairs, a kitchen area, changing stations, and a dark area with rocking chairs for breastfeeding or to get a little one to sleep. * Most of the park is shady, which helps out a lot on the hot days. * Food prices are reasonable. They are cheaper than other amusement parks we have been to. Bad: * Have to read the small print! If you get a souvenir cup, it is only for unlimited refills that day. Any additional days cost another $10.99. * The water park has very strict rules. There are height requirements for every slide on the playground, and they will measure your kid every time. Additionally, they have a lot of rules for the wave pool even when the waves aren't going. It's a 10-minute wait. * Lifeguard seems to make up rules, or not all rules are listed. Ugly: * The water park lifeguards are confrontational. The water park has strict rules, and the lifeguard has no problem kicking kids out of the area. I watched lifeguards pull a kid (probably 3 or 4) from a slide by his life vest because they had a one-kid-on-the-slide rule. I get the rule, but it's not serious enough to put their hands on a child. We were only in the park for 4 hours and witnessed 3 arguments between parents and lifeguards, and the lifeguards always seemed to escalate the situation rather than de-escalate it. Overall, it was the worst part of Legoland for us. * The park hours were another huge downfall for us. The Water park closes at 4, and the whole park closes at 5. During summer hours (June/July), the water park closes at 5, and the whole park closes at 6. Overall, the main Legoland park was amazing, and I love how they have rides and activities for all ages. I personally would not pay extra for the waterpark.

Instead, the property felt tired, worn down, and was lowkey very neglected. The maintenance issues were impossible to ignore. Paint was fading everywhere, the iconic LEGO bricks on buildings and sculptures looked washed out, and a lot of the park just didn't look clean. Dust was literally caked onto vents and fans, like they hadn't been touched in ages. It gave the whole place a dull, dingy vibe instead of the playful, colorful atmosphere you'd expect from a LEGO experience... The Ninjago ride breaking down with people stuck on it was another huge red flag. Rides malfunction sometimes, sure, but when the rest of the park already feels poorly maintained, it doesn't exactly inspire confidence. And maybe the biggest disappointment: it just didn't feel like LEGO. Instead of that bold, creative, brick-built world, the park gives off more of a "knockoff LEGO" energy. Like the idea is there, but the devs did not execute it properly. Its giving tourist trap vibes... Just save ur hundred dollars and put it towards going to Disney or Universal... Like bro what do they even do with the money they earn from the park.. BUT THE STAFF ARE VERY SUPER NICE!! Overall, the experience felt underwhelming and outdated. With the price of admission, you'd expect a park that's clean, well-kept, and full of that signature LEGO personality. Unfortunately, this was not IT.

Just a bit of a walk from there with my inflated paddleboard, but I don't mind the extra exercise. You can unload your stuff closer, if preferable. There are port-a-potties available. You can count on there being a line in the check-in office. Various recreation supplies are available there for purchase. The process moves reasonably enough. A reservation will guarantee your entrance, however, and possibly aide quicker personal info collection. I always plan to do the Emerald Cut in roughly 3 hours round-trip, allowing myself several stops to enjoy the surroundings. You do run into (quite literally at times) novice paddlers along the way, which can be a bit tricky, yet not a real nuisance for me. In general, there's friendliness along the waterway. Slighty rowdy, party vibes in some spots, but also opportunities for solace and zen in various nooks. Encountering wildlife, fragrant elderberry, and other captivating flora along this stretch is always gratifying. It's a popular recreation destination for good reason.

Our guide for the morning was: Megan, who was fantastic! Full of energy, information and helpful tidbits about the Springs and its human and wildlife inhabitants. Our group was small and capped at 10. We paddled through both narrow and open stretches, and stopped to swim in the warm, crystal-clear water. One highlight was a banyan tree with an 8-foot natural "jump hole"--such a cool experience! Sometimes you are driving down the road and you see something so quirky you have to pull over…read more Things like a cemetery in the middle of a city park. When I see something like that I have to know more so here is the story of how graves came to be in Inman Park, Winter Haven. In the park is a fenced in area with a large monument flanked by the graves of Dr. Fredrick Inman (1840-1910) a former Civil War surgeon, his daughter Lillian Inman, his wife Florence and her sister Mary. The section of Winter Haven named Florence Villa takes it's name from Florence Inman. Florence Villa and Winter Haven used to be two separate towns but now they are all Winter Haven. Prior to Dr. Inman purchasing the land, it was owned by Florence's family. The couple was originally from Akron, Ohio and came to Florida in 1882 to visit the 695 acre family property in what is now present day Winter Haven. In 1887 they decided to make Florida their home on the advice of Florence's doctor who recommended a warmer climate for health. At first they camped before building their 10 room home on the shores of Lake Spring. Eventually they expanded the house to 42 rooms to accommodate all of their friends who wanted to visit. To entertain them Dr. Inman built a golf course and gave boat tours between the lakes. A train station was added to the property to make it easier to reach the house. After an economic downturn sparked by a citrus freeze the couple called the home Villa Florence and opened it to paying guests as a 49 room full time hotel until 1906. Dr. Fredrick Inman was one of the founders of the Quaker Oats Company. He also grew many different crops in the area. He planted the first citrus groves on 100 acres making him very wealthy with the sale of orange juice. He was called the father of the citrus and this area was at one time the citrus capitol of the world. In 1909 he formed the Florida Citrus Exchange. Dr. Inman was inducted into the Citrus Hall of Fame in 1962. Besides the graves there are some more typical amenities you would expect to find in a park. There is a climbing wall, paved exercise paths, a picnic pavilion, and outdoor exercise equipment. Also in the park are old oak trees. Next door to the park is the Inman Baptist Church. The not so great in the park is the belongings of homeless people shoved into different areas. Even with the homeless presence you could still safely exercise and picnic. You could easily drive by the park and never think twice about the large obelisk marking the cemetery. I am so glad i stopped to learn about the Inman's and their role as pioneers in the area. While certain areas of the park could use a clean up it is nice to see the grave site respectfully maintained.
