After arriving, the kids played in the pool, we ate dinner, and were getting everyone settled for bed when we discovered the camper we rented through RVshare was completely full of ants. We immediately panicked because it was late, we had kids with us, and we really didn't want to pack up and drive back home after already starting our weekend. That's when MAYOR Rob came to the rescue. He radioed in, and Tammy and Sam quickly showed up with a key to a cabin they had available. They helped us move our things, get everyone situated, and completely saved our Memorial Day weekend. It's rare to find people who genuinely care the way this team did. Their kindness, quick action, and willingness to help meant more to our family than they probably realize. We are beyond thankful and truly appreciative for everything they did for us. Thank you again to Rob, Tammy, Sam, and Cori for going above and beyond. This level of customer service is something special, and it's the reason we'll absolutely be back!

I'd like to give you the positives. Crisp, clean, manicured, food and bar pretty good,…read morewell-appointed amenities. We had a pretty good week, having found a quiet pool area. Saw a bald eagle and a swallow-tail kite. I'd like to tell you about that, but that's not the review. Here's the review: if you book here, you will be checking into a bizarre combination of tropical paradise, tailgate party, spring break, and a middle school playground. On St. Patrick's Day, we had been doing some sightseeing. We came back to our site, and the folks who had arrived behind us fired up their music. I don't have a problem with music or other noise prior to "quiet time," so long as it's not over the top. This was way over the top. Kim was on the phone with the nursing home about her 91-year old mother and she couldn't hear the other end of the call. We called Security and asked for help, they came around and talked to the offenders. Whereupon the offenders started yelling around "who complained about our music?" And, they sent their preteen daughters on their bicycles going around and asking "did you complain?" Let's just say it was downhill from there. They jacked the volume even more, and started taunting us. Kim lost her temper and started yelling at them to quiet down. They responded by threatening her. She told me to call security, but since they hadn't helped, and the on-duty rent-a-cop had no interest in helping, I called 911 (which the campground rules said to do in an emergency). Apparently, that was a mistake. The rent-a-cop was pissed off that we called 911 when he was supposed to already be on top of it (which he wasn't). So there was a conclave of police cars, and the night manager, and the three large guys from the offending site, etc. Bottom line: management demanded that WE leave, in half an hour, or be arrested. It's 10:30 pm, and I told the rent-a-cop that I was in no shape to drive. "Figure it out," he said, and walked away. So two 70-year olds had 30 minutes to get everything packed up and drive to some alternative place. While we were striking the site, the kids at the offending site were chanting "we won, we won." And they started playing "Hit the Road You Jack" quite loud. And the adults were yelling "we're Republicans. We can do whatever we want." They noted our Maine license plates and told us to "go back to Canada where you belong." We ended up in a wicked expensive hotel in the next town over, paying spring break prices ($340 a night!!). And we lost the cost of two nights at the campground. So if you're a party animal, this may be your kind of place. Just don't complain about anything, or you will be asked to leave. It's interesting to note which rules are enforced and which aren't. For instance, there's a poolside bar, and lots of signs between the bar and the pool saying "no food or drink beyond this point." Not only was there lots of food and drink around the pool, there were wait staff taking orders and delivering it. In retrospect, the fact that they have a rent-a-cop cruising the premises every night should have been red flag. I've never seen that before, but apparently they expect rowdiness. They just don't want to deal with the negative repercussions.

Very friendly neighbors. Pool and hot tub, pool table, horseshoe's, pickleball court, shuffleboard court, playground for kids, beautiful lake (no swimming in lake) alligators in lake, frogs, birds, squirrels, and small lizards. Roam around free ( except gator never saw it) wildlife never bothered us. It was fun to watch them though. The staff was very friendly and very helpful ( we suprised my son who lives there) online/on phone staff was amazing! Highly recommend this resort! You definitely get more than what you pay for! $488 for a week. You cant get one hotel room for that price, and we got a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom tiny home!

This is a hard review to star ... here's why. For an RV Park, you get what you expect. Amenities…read morelike a gym, game room, community room, swimming pool (wished it was heated), dog park and, like expected & typical in Florida, RV slips close together with some long term residents and some short term. We rented a Tiny House here, during the 2022 Christmas holiday. Reception staff was nice, not super knowledgeable about resorts events though. Resort Housekeeping serviced our rental (but the rental likely is owned by someone out of town). When we needed a space heater, because temperatures went below freezing, an ozone air purifier was brought (size of space heater, but NOT the same thing). The front sleeper sofa mattress was removed before we arrived, which made sitting there nearly impossible. May or may not be connected, but a couple days into our stay all three of us began to itch. The pieces didn't all fit together, at first, but there were Bed Bugs and our extremities showed the evidence - We had numerous bites! Days after, back at our home, an urgent care visit was necessary, due to an allergic reaction. The medications, laundering , loss of (possibly) infested items like luggage, and the daily attention to our home to eliminate any hiding 'hitch hikers' significantly outweighs the cost of our trip itself. Still a constant battle for weeks to come. So my greatest concern with the RV Park is their inability to identify a bed bug problem and prevent the critters from spreading. The homes nearby are at risk of an infestation, as well as the community areas, if this problem isn't handled with aggressive diligence.

We are decent people and we weren't coming in and disturbing anything. We just wanted a decent place to camp and that had a pool, we will never ever grace that place and nobody else should too.

The rules at this place are not ideal for those traveling with pets such as my friends. No tie downs and no outside fences. The not so nice front desk clerk (NOT Chloe - the other one!) made it a point to call out the fact that people before us ruined it for the rest of us by leaving their pets unattended outside and then bad things happen. How about having a rule that just forbids leaving pets unattended outside? What a novel idea! The not so nice lady also asked if we had even read the rules and that's when Karma kicked in and she herself noticed the printing error (picture attached) that somehow combined pets and fires into one. One pool sign also reads that it closes as 6pm while the other one says dusk. How difficult is it to just have consistency? As for the sites themselves, they are great. The camping community is also great but this review is more about this resort so back to it. Chloe on the front desk is an absolute gem! She takes customer service and sprinkles sugar and sweetness all over it and delivers it with such grace and pleasantries! She is a rockstar. Perhaps the other one could learn a thing or two. The wireless is only good in certain areas. They did acknowledge that it's bad and blamed it all on Spectrum saying that they didn't deliver what they had promised to deliver. Coming and going into this place is anything but pleasant. You'll press the button to alert the ranger and be greeted with an unpleasant voice that says "RANGER" and that's about it. After stating why you're there the gate will open. I think they found the grumpiest guy in Polk county to work here as a Ranger. Although we did end up meeting another ranger who was the complete opposite. Super nice. We ended up spending a good 20 minutes having great conversation one evening while out riding the incredibly expensive rental golf cart. ($135 for a 2 night maximum - quite steep!) Camping was great, especially with friends! As for this place, I'm not sure I'd come back here. Make sure you're aware of the rules. For sure the non pleasant front desk clerk will ask if you had read them.

I applied to live at the campground. The property manager called me and informed me that I did not…read moresign the bottom line so she could not authorize my background check. I asked her if I could authorize it over the phone she said no. I asked her if I could authorize it over email, she told me no. It was planned that I would come in later at the end of the week after my trip was over to come and sign the paperwork. Then she informed my boyfriend that he did not get approved to live there. So I called and I wanted my electric deposit back and to make sure I was not going to get charged for the upcoming month (since we never technically moved in, we were just paying rent to save our spot) and to get my $50 for my background check back because she told me they could not run it without my signature. She then informed me that she already ran my background check. I said that's really weird and shady because you told me you couldn't do it without my signature. And she was just standing on that she is not giving back my money because they already ran it. I don't even care about getting the money back at the principal is you told me that you could not run my background check and then you hung up the phone and proceeded to do it anyways. That is so unprofessional and the way the property manager handled it (I know if I say her name it's easier for her to take this review down but it starts with a K) I said, proceeded to ask the corporate number and she flat out told me no. Refused to give me a corporate number and then she gave me an email that is her work email. I think it's really shady that you're gonna act that way and then refuse to let anybody report it. I was about to stay at this campground for the next 1 to 5 years. And honestly, this must be a blessing in disguise that I don't need to be near that woman because even when I stayed her the previous year, she had a nasty attitude. I just hope this review helps other people protect themselves in the future because this company will dance along the line of doing illegal things behind your back. I had no problem if they had run the background check, the principal of this is that you told me you could not, hung up the phone, and then we ended it anyway without my knowledge. Update 7.12.26 According to their investigation and according to their " proper procedure" they " did not do anything wrong". If calling someone to let her know that you could NOT run the background check, informing her she HAS to come in to sign the bottom line, hanging up the phone and then proceeding to do the background check anyways is what this company calls "proper procedure", then I'm taking it as a blessing that my name will not be associated with a company that has such sketchy "proper procedure". An halfway apology does not seem genuine when you only respond through an online platform when I have complained. I asked for the corporate number and I was denied. I asked for a corporate email and I was denied. I'm glad to know you guys pay attention to your online reviews, and I hope you do better in the future when it comes to your "proper procedure"

Unfortunately there is trash lying around and some of the people I encountered seemed to not be there for nature, so that's why I only rated it three stars. Signs are almost unreadable and area doesn't seem to be taken care of. I will go back as I didn't get to explore the whole length of the trails. I advise being aware of your surroundings out here. Worked at Saddle Creek in Lakeland, Florida in Building 18…read more Here is my experience: 1. Arrived at building 18 and made contact with Kathy in dispatch. Kathy instructed me to wait on another driver who could train me on a CNG tractor. 2. Waited for 2 hours in the breakroom. Finally introduced to Omar (CNG trainer) who showed me how to operate CNG. Kathy then assigned a truck to me which was not CNG but regular tractor day cab. (wasted almost 2 hours). 3. Assigned a trailer and handed the BOL by Kathy. On pre trip of assigned trailer, found license plate light was out. Informed kathy of defect and was instructed to repair the light at the shop. 4 At repair shop, light was fixed and finally dispatched at around 12:30 noon. Had been in touch with kathy and ELD logs documenting this defective light and the late dispatch. Receiving: Arrived at 1st receiver (Ft. Lauderdale). Discovered that the trailer was loaded incorrectly by Saddle Creek warehouse. Had to physically remove all packages from the trailer to get the 1st stop's load. Then had to reload the trailer to head to the second stop (West Palm Beach). Received numerous calls from Kathy in dispatch asking about my ETA to Palm Beach. Notified her and dispatch that the unloading took a lot of time and DOT hours were dwindling. Made it to the 2nd stop with an irate and rude warehouse manager. Asked me "what my The problem was" because I was late. Explained about the trailer error but didn't care. Notified dispatch( Kathy and Scott) that manager was rude and in my face. Leaving 2nd stop, notified Scott in dispatch that DOT hours were running out. (had to make it back from Palm Beach to Lakeland in 3 hours). This was not happening. Was instructed by Scott to take the 16 hour exception and proceed. Asked specifically about other options but received 0 feedback from Scott. Arrived back at Saddle creek building 18 and violated DOT driving rule (had to drive 1 hour illegally) Next Day Summary of Events Report was sent by both Scott and Kathy in dispatch to warehouse supervisor Chris Sands of the following: 1. Driver (me) dispatched late (completely ignoring the license plate light issue-item 3 above) 2. Driver took tractor to shop without authorization (was approved and instructed by Kathy to take the truck to the shop (item 3 above) 3. Driver took to long to unload (completely ignoring that the trailer was loaded incorrectly from warehouse) 4. Driver violated DOT driving hours: Scott stated to Chris Sands that he "told me, the driver, that if I run out of DOT time, to call him. This was false and Scott never mentioned those words to me. I do however take full responsibility for the illegal dot driving. In Summary I have found that the two personnel, Kathy and Scott (who was in direct contact with me during the entire load) reported false and inaccurate statements to management to either mitigate risk from the operations standpoint or to shift blame more on the driver. Met with Chris Sands (manager at building 18) in person and had a good meeting. Chris was attentive, direct, and a good listener. his major issue was with the illegal drive time (which is completely understood). Had no other comments or feedback when I explained that his dispatch team (kathy and Scott) falsified and accurately described the load events and details.
