Never noticed this store until January 15th. I don't even know how. Such a nice surprise. Greeted with smiles & several voices soon as I hit the door. Geoffrey assisted me the entire time. He was honest about certain quality of brands & products. Didn't feel pushy like he was cheating me with the most expensive stuff. Got what I needed which were vitamins & an Elderberry Honey tonic. Walked in asked the gentleman at the counter if they carried a certain product. He bluntly said "no" I paused expecting there would be more follow up discussion than just the curt no. So I repeated 'no?' He said again bluntly "no". I then asked "why don't you carry it" and he claimed "because it's hard to get" . Was thinking that's funny because I order it from Amazon all the time and many different brands produce it. This is a great locally owned health store in Toco Hills Shopping Center. The have a great selection of items here: vitamins, herbs, homeopathic, all natural non toxic beauty and toiletry items, an assortments of alkaline and mineral water, snacks, spices and cooking items. The people who work there are friendly and helpful. There is a very knowledgable man named Joe who always helps me pick the right supplements. And another man named Jeffrey who suggested I start taking Black Seed Oil daily and I love it. Side note, check out black seed oil! It's amazing! This store also has great prices and quality products. I'm a 42 year old lifelong vitamin taker. My parents believed in the importance of supplements and raised us taking them. With vitamins it's a constant balance between quality and affordability so I'm always shopping around for the best prices. Anyway who is familiar with the Health Store circuit knows how shockingly high the markups can be. This store keeps their prices affordable and usually has a nice selection brands for each item. I was looking for some holistic medicine for nasal decongestion and a Google search led me to an option that was sold at this store. They have such a vast array of products. I was really happy to see that because as I've gotten deeper into the world of Holistic medicine, I love the option of being able to walk into a place like this. The employees knew exactly what I was talking about and were able to point me directly to the product in the store. They were so kind, and shared other things I could do to help speed up the process of healing from a sinus infection. It was a really great and informative conversation. This place is amazing! It has all of your health care needs! I have been visiting this place for several years and even told my coworkers and friends about it. You can refill your water containers here with high quality Alkaline water. The workers are very friendly and they assist you when needed. The cashier was rude and arrogant, which made for an unpleasant shopping experience. I have only purchased essential oils here. According to the self-assured cashier, food items cannot be returned. Any other item can be returned minus a hefty restocking fee. I'd rather buy from Whole Foods or even online, where essential oils and products can be returned if you have a skin reaction, etc. read more

I frequent two Nutrition Stores in Atlanta. One, I "yelped" about before and the other, Nutrition Naturally in the Toco Hills shopping center. I go here to pick up skin supplies and the occasional vitamins. I tend to take a large regiment of multi vitamins increasing the effectiveness of ... well, for lack of a better word, "living healthy". This place is bigger and has a better selection of multi vitamins than the other. It is more of a vitamin store than a "supplement" store (my other fave). They have good prices and a great selection of natural skin supplies. I am not sold on the chains such as GNC or Vitamin World. They tend to be real pricey and buy from very few expensive companies (such as Twin Lab). If you shop at this store (or the other previously mentioned), you will save money and get better service by knowledgeable people. read more

Good Nutrition has been close to where I've lived for years, lurking in the periphery of my consciousness. But I've never gone in. I've driven to the Publix, I've driven to the Kroger, the Bruster's, the Bagel Palace, the Top Spice, pretty much every other spot in Toco Hills but Good Nutrition. Until this week. And I probably wouldn't have wound up there now, except that my boyfriend and I decided to try a pre-made meal service called "Fresh'n'Fit" because normally after work, we're both exhausted, not done till 6 PM or later, and the thought of stopping at the grocery store, coming home and then cooking for an hour plus, is less than appealing. Fresh'n'Fit has multiple locations across the Atlanta area, so it seemed like a good idea to pick one location close to one of our places, and since his commute to my house from work is closer than vice versa, we chose the Toco Hills locale just a couple miles from my location. And that location just happens to be within the Good Nutrition store. Ergo, I ended up at Good Nutriton on Monday afternoon picking up our meals. And as I expected, this is a granola crunching, tree hugging, healthy health food store. Supplements of all kinds of stuff you never knew you were deficient in, "health food" snacks, more powders and pills than you can shake a stick at, and that funky "health" scent that seems to permeate all health food stores just by being health food stores. So, not my favorite place to chill and hang out, but perfectly appropriate and not entirely unexpected as a place to pick up "healthy" meals. The staff are very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating as well. My only real qualm with this situation is the pick up hours: 2 PM - 7 PM isn't exactly ideal for working people. Susan and Kevin are amazing. I came in here last week and talked with Susan about my concerns. She instantly pinpointed what she thought it was connected to and once she started listing out the symptoms she was SPOT ON with everything I was experiencing. I stopped here after the gym because I wanted to start taking vitamins. I walked into the store and 2 employees where standing right i front of me and didnt greet me at all. So I asked them where was the iron pill and one lady said "they are all over the store". So I say "well Ive NEVER taken any vitamins is there a particular brand that customers like". She takes a deep breath and says "well its a personal choice". So that should let you know how the rest of my visit was NO ONE was helpful at all. I ended up putting everything I had in my hand back, because I felt like why should I purchase from this store? No one is helpful, so it appears you dont want my money, so why should I spend it. BUYER BEWARE!!! I purchased a water pump a week ago from here and it doesn't work. I wanted to exchange it for another one or try to get my money back. The manger would not do either and was not willing to do anything. He said because I opened the box, there was nothing he could do. So I'm stuck with a water pump that doesn't pump water. Not only that but the manger talked to me in a condescending tone. P.S. They also change the prices at the register. I was told the pump is $20 and it came $25 and all they said was hey I guess the price changed. I will never shop there again! read more

I usually order my vegan vitamins online, but when I look into my bottle of vegan D3 and notice I only have enough to make it through two days I head over to Good Nutrition. After being totally let down by the absolute lack of vegan vitamins at the vegetarian grocery store around the way, I was so glad to find this place nearby. They have all the natural brands that make soap, deodorant, toothpaste, etc. along with makeup and all sorts of other body enhancing products that are mostly vegan, organic, cruelty free, you know the drill. The selection of vegan friendly vitamins make me happy. I can't get everything I want just how I want it, but they usually have something when I'm in a pinch. They have a wide variety of products and also offer alkaline water and some sort of meal pick up (not sure exactly). Depending on what i need and how soon i need it, i will drive through here. Anything you need or any questions you have they can help and if they do not have the answer or remedy, they will research it for you. They are extremely resourceful. We enjoy our visits and often times we end up spending at least an hour in there just talking about different things from diet and eating, to exercising and pain management. I used to work on N. Druid Hills and frequented this establishment for convenience. However, even when my work moved to a new location I have still gone the extra mile to return here primarily due to the helpful and wise nature of one employee, Natalie. While I have found the management and some of the other employees a bit aloof and disconected, Natalie more than makes up for it. She directly participates with the public and councils them on health matters and what nutritional products may help them as well as advising them about what nutrion fads they do not need to waste their money on. While the nature of the store lacks aesthetic--you will find no new-agey couture here. The products are lined up in an orderly utilatrian manner. Its no frills. The only reason I have been going there several years now is due to the sound nutritional advice I receive from this employee. It is difficult to get such counsel from some one free of charge--with no strings attached and that you can trust--as one wades through this portion of industry that often preys on the naive customer in need of treatment. Natalie has ensured my return buisness to this establishment. Im not sure what she does there. She seems to be a Jill of all trades. I have seen her stocking shelves and ringing up customers, but no matter what she is doing she always has time to stop and lend her expert advice to the shoppers. Always positive and helpful no matter how busy she may be, Natalie's input about my nutritional needs has been invaluable to my healing. I suffer from diabetes (which is now nder control through nutrition) among other conditions If every employee in the store were as knowledgeable and customer centered as Natalie, I would give the store a 5 star rating. Luckily she makes up for the others with her expertise and concern. If you go there and need advice, ne sure to ask for her. I hope they realize what a gem she is. They should really let her run the store and train the others in her brand of customer service and in her wisdom about the healing properties of good nutrition. All the Good Nutrition stores may not be this way, I heard they were a decent store, but this one at least I thought was terrible. You're better off going to Health Unlimited right across the street! The employees were incredibly rude and unfriendly, and this one guy working there (who, for a store called "Good Nutrition," was very overweight and smelly) boasted about knowing sooo much about herbal extracts (some of which he apparently grows in his backyard) yet gave me vague replies to my questions and ultimately didn't answer my questions. Except for a a great lady named Susan the others are pretty depressing! Especially one lady there if you ask her a question she answers you like your a complete idiot! Okay, this place is very near to my home and I really wanted to like it. However, I did not have a stellar experience. I wanted to start taking some better quality vitamins and supplements and decided to stop by and take a look. I've done some research on the web so I knew pretty much what I wanted, but I thought I'd try to ask some questions nonetheless. The gentleman behind the counter was definitely not very friendly. He seemed agitated that I asked a couple of simple questions. I then asked him where to find another product and he just pointed to a couple of aisles over, while not saying a word. He was not helping anyone else so he wasn't busy. He sort of looks like he could be the owner, so this is even more disappointing! Anyway, good customer service is important to me, especially in a health food store where patrons often have questions. It's a shame!
