This place was honestly so great! I came here on a date and ordered the sesame ribeye tacos, which came with kimchi and beef it was absolutely amazing. I stopped in here for a drink with friends, so my review is based solely on the drinks and atmosphere, and not based on their food. Bartaco is in a great location in Inman Park with lots of seating both indoors and on their patio. We were able to be seated immediately without a reservation on a Sunday evening. Their menu has a variety of options, both for food and drink choices. We opted for the red sangria which was light and refreshing. The wait staff were all very kind and checked on us regularly. You can pay using the QR code on your desk which made paying for the check super easy. I'll definitely be back and I'm excited to try their food next time too! read more

Very good food! The street corn was very tasty as well as the salsa verde. I love that the chips were served as full tortilla sized and you broke off pieces. I had the chicken salad as my meal and it was good and had a very unique but tasty dressing. It's on the smaller side but it was very refreshing. My friends and I wanted a quick bite over a round of drinks. We were happy to see there were plenty of indoor and outdoor seats available on a Friday but were disappointed when the happy hour was only offered at the bar. We got their Trio large tray, Libelula flight, red sangria, cazuela. We found all of our drinks to be underwhelming and even the presentation was subpar particularly for the sangria which is served in a regular water glass. The trio dish was pretty solid and we were able to get another order of chips to finish it off. The guacamole was creamy, the verde was refreshing, but the roja sauce was our favorite. Overall, we had an okay experience. The ambiance is cute and European inspired but the service was incredibly slow. Drinks were okay but we did enjoy the chips. I'm at my friends for dinner at this location. Will try later found out was the wrong location but they chose to meet me there after all. First of all parking. You have to pay for parking. The garage that adjacent to the building charges $11 on a Monday night for parking. When asked the workers about the situation - no one knows anything. Including the manager who told me he just started. It's not their job to know but it's kind of a nice Customer Service touch. That was disappointing. Upon sitting at the bar, waiting for friends to arrive. I was greeted by one of the bar tenders. I asked him about the rainy day special. That is when it rains you get a margarita for $8. Nice touch! I told him I was waiting for friends and that if you could wait 10 minutes and then create my drink He memory was very short. He was busy chatting up two ladies that came in shortly after our conversation about something they had in common. 20 minutes later I had to remind him "has it been 10 minutes". that's when he remembered about our deal. Of course my drink was made, and my friends arrived after 1 sip. We sat at a great table. Our server was lovely. However, every time I one friend tried to order a beverage, the server had to come back on three different occasions to say "we are out of it." Lastly , he selected a spindrift beverage that she brought the table. Upon tasting he realized it was " the spiked version". She did not notice that the prior drink selections were nonalcoholic. After all the back and forth... he kept it and did not drink it. I love BarTaco. I am a frequent flyer in Buckhead. At least I used to be. Now I live on this side of town. Bar taco is great, I come here occasionally for small bites and drinks! I had the duck, shrimp, and pork taco, all of which I highly recommend, especially the duck. I also had the pineapple punch cocktail, which was a yummy pineapple lemonade flavor. Overall, the food is good, service is excellent, and the interior is clean and has various types of seating. My only critique is that the taco sizes are quite small, I ordered 3 initially and ended up ordering one more. Went for a post dinner second bite (lol) and really enjoyed all the tacos I got at this spot. I was out with my friend visiting town so he had wanted to check this spot out and neither of us were disappointed. Pricing wise, I would've liked them to be a bit larger, but flavor-wise I cannot complain. All the tacos range between three and five dollars and we probably tried over half of the ones on the menu and each of them was a winner! We also ordered the ginger mint tea carafe for the table and we really enjoyed drinking that one so if you're in a mood for nothing alcoholic, that's a winner as well. Probably one of the most interesting elements of the dining experience was how we could order everything through their website/epic experience, including payment so I really enjoyed the seamlessness of that experience and how it didn't seem to cause delays were getting food delivered to the table. Bar Taco is *CHEFS KISS* This restaurant has a unique twist of certain dishes that you will love! They are known for their different tacos and sides! all of which is really good and you can't go wrong with anything that's on the menu. The food is very flavorful and fresh and so are the drinks. They squeeze fresh fruit for your cocktails and mocktails, which is a huge plus! I definitely recommend getting guac and chips, the plantains, and truly any choice of your tacos you can't go wrong with. This restaurant has such a great ambience as it is very refreshing and aesthetic. I love that the restaurant is very open as there are plenty of seats outside and when you sit inside, they have large doors that they will open up when the weather is nice. When you go to the restaurant, you scan a QR code and you place your order and pay for your tab. However, you will, of course still have a server which in my opinion will likely be someone who is great customer care. Service is always! I never have to wait a long time for my food as it typically comes out in a reasonable timeframe and like I said earlier always comes out fresh. The only challenging thing is parking. There is a parking deck that is neighboring the restaurant, however, they do not validate your parking. It is about $8 for two hours and will increase the longer you're there. There is of course street parking, but it is always very limited/taken. This is a very popular area as there are a number of restaurants and other businesses that people visit quite often. But don't let the parking situation deter you because it is still so worth it! read more

The Inman Park location is so cute -- total vibe, especially with the patio seating. Perfect spot to chill and enjoy some fresh tacos. The limeade is super tasty. I always ask for it light on the simple syrup since I'm not big on overly sweet drinks. Food-wise, the roasted chicken is my go-to, and the plantains and street corn are musts every time. My friend and I frequent this restaurant almost every Saturday after we walked on the Belt Line. It's our standing appointment to get some sunshine, brisk walk, and a bite to eat. We especially enjoy the Taco Teaser, and our respective entrees. The two gentlemen hosts are always in great temperament. Tall gent that wears the palm tree button-up shirts is always friendly & upbeat. He's pleasant to guests under pressure. The other guy with the strawberry blonde hair is always professional and willing to assist. They both are welcoming and inviting. The female host with long dark hair is curt and off-putting. When a large amount of patrons come to patronize Bartaco she becomes frazzled, irritated, and brusque. The wait staff have all been attentive and amazing; however, that hostess (perhaps the manager) with the long dark hair has some peculiar behavior. Case in point: 1) People that came in after us were seated. Not only did they get preferential seating. They were seated in the front of the establishment. 2) Oddly, only OTHER melanated people were sitting in the back right corner of the restaurant. (DO you think this is a mere coincidence? I'll let you decide) 3) OTHER melanated patrons waited 15- 20 minutes longer than the others that walked in after us. 4) OTHER pigmemted patrons were also advised to sit at the bar. Clearly, because she was giving our seats to people who walked up after us. I even checked online for reservations to be sure. The point is she targets certain populations of people. She needs to be trained in being culturally inclusive and responsive to the evolving demographics of the constituents she is servicing. She's going to give an excuse about it being a shift change, but the pictures don't lie. They paint a vivid depiction of what happens under her leadership. Though Bartaco - Inman Park was not the original plan, I can honestly say I am so happy we ended up there! The setup of Bartaco - Inman Park is gorgeous. The all glass front allows you to take in the ambiance before you even walk inside. The setup is super efficient and allows for the space to not be overcrowded even when it's full. Upon walking in, I was greeted by the hostess who was very pleasant and carried a huge smile. After welcoming me in, she advised me there would be about a 30 minute wait. I advised I was fine with it and she added me to the list... I must take a moment to acknowledge the robust text system that Bartaco - Inman Park employs. It's kept me up to date on what my status was along with offering me options. Below are the messages I received for reference: Text 1: "Congrats on joining bartaco's waitlist! We will text you when your table is ready." Text 2: "Hello! Your table is almost ready! Would you like a booth or a table?" I responded with "Table" Text 3: "It's taco time--your table is ready! Check in at the host stand to get seated. Text "LEAVE" to remove yourself from the list!" Like I said, robust and informative. Also, I can confirm I was seated at a table as I had requested. Once seated, Keyonna arrived at our table to welcome us and bring us water. She educated us on the menu and how the ordering process works and offered a few menu highlights as well. She was super pleasant and truly represented what "good service" is all about. After scrolling the menu I decided I had to have it all. LoL! I ordered, salsa roja + chips - a spicy red salsa w/ charred veggies + tomatillos contains: garlic + pineapple (2) sesame ribeye - shaved ribeye beef marinated in a sweet sesame-soy sauce, topped with spicy kimchi and cilantro contains: garlic, onion, soy, sesame, se spiced chicken verde bowl - chicken in chile and herb marinade topped with aguacate salsa contains: garlic + onion Babeeeeeeeeeeeee... When I tell you EVERYTHING was AMAZING!!!! I mean everything. All the food was well flavored, perfectly made, and beautifully presented. Every dish provided a layered flavor profile which allowed my taste buds to continue to be surprised with good flavored rewards. Things to note: The salsa rojas is super spicy which is ideal for those like me who love an intense kick. The sesame ribeye is marinated and tender. The sesame pairs well with the cilantro and garlic seasonings. The combination of all the flavors unite in every bite which all for the entire taco to be a true Upscale Street Taco experience. Originally I had ordered one, but it was so good I had to get a second one. LoL! The spiced chicken verde bowl was amazing. The brown rice was erdectlh done and wasn't hard and cardboard-like as most bowls seem to be. The chicken was well seasoned and the peppers were perfectly grilled. This bowl was amazing... My honest take: So many people I know love this chain, but each time I have it, no matter the location, I always just feel something lacking. The service is decent from what I recall--waitstaff is always friendly. Personally, I hate that the ordering process is by phone at your table. Some people find it more convenient. I find it tiring and distracting. When I go out to eat, I want to put my phone down and speak to real humans. Technology is great, but it's distancing us. Despite being an introvert, I enjoy this kind of interaction and find it important. Call me old fashioned if you will. I guess for me, the trendy, stylish Bartaco sits quality-wise somewhere in the middle between authentic Mexican restaurants like El Rey Del Taco and La Pastorcita that I adore, and my Mexican fast food guilty pleasures Moe's and Taco Bell. It ranks just under comfort casual chains like La Parrilla where you don't have to pay for chips and salsa and you get tasty food where you know what to expect, and above spots like Tex-Mex chains Tin Roof Cantina and Chuy's that leave much to be desired. Bartaco is neck and neck with but a step above the pretentious fan favorite Muchacho's that just didn't do it for me. Last time I got Bartaco, I had the cauliflower bowl. It was pretty good and they did their best to amp up the flavor with that yummy sauce. To be fair, bowls can be a challenge to make fun! I was trying to be "healthy" this day. One of my favorite parts of this bowl was the little crunchy bits (almonds?) that brought a nice texture. As expected, the tacos are better than the bowl. I've had the mushroom with queso fresco taco, cauliflower taco, Baja fish taco, and chile-lime shrimp taco, all pretty good. Once you've had authentic hole-in-the-wall tacos though, you'll see the difference. Bartaco is the type of place to go to if you want a more upscale taco spot to go to with friends who are above other more casual chains. It's good. I wish you could give half stars because I want to give Bartaco a 3.5 (really 3.8 sounds right). read more

Went to bartaco for a girl dinner I am a taco fan I love all things tacos whether authentic or not. Just based off the menu you know these aren't authentic. Now you order completely off your phone which I like. I hate that awkward waiting for the bill period so I liked that I could just pay and go. I got 4 tacos and a drink which amounted to $35. The tacos are relatively inexpensive ranging from $3-$7 (the lobster taco) but the drinks are where most of the money came from. So I ordered 4 tacos thinking it'd be a lot and I'd have left overs but these tacos are mini in size, which isn't necessarily a complaint but something to note. To be honest, next time (cause I would come back) I'd probably order a rice bowl and then a couple tacos because it'd be more filling for the same price. Tacos ordered: Fried Oyster -- surprisingly one of my favorite tacos. Came with a great sauce that was light and spicy Pork Belly -- soooo good loved the bbq sauce that came with it Lobster -- for $7 this one was mid. I'd skip out on this one next time.
