I had the grilled chicken salad which was shockingly delicious and fresh coming off a food truck. My husband had the burger and fries. The fries were well seasoned and thick. The burger was savory and delicious. The woman working at the food truck was so kind and they use a buzzer wait system so you can sit and relax knowing you'll be paged when your order is up! Definitely recommend!

And, well, my sons both have the facial fur thing going on, so the name got my attention as well! I stopped by for lunch today with one of my sons. We decided to order the Steak Wrap, the Murphy Chorizo Burrito, and an order of loaded Hash Rounds. Our food was ready in about 5 minutes! We brought it home to eat, but I have to tell you, the tantalizing aroma of all those spices and goodness was enough to make me want to rip open my box right there in the car! This is some of THE BEST food I've had anywhere in a long time! The grilled veggies (peppers & onions) were perfect-not too hard, not too soft (although personally I prefer mine a bit softer, I think the Bearded Chef has it just right, cooked to please almost anyone. The steak in my wrap was tender. Cheese oozed out of everything! My sons burrito was equally tasty with all sorts of flavors combining to make really an ultimate burrito. The Loaded Hash Rounds are plump fried mounds of potato (handmade) with chorizo sausage, cheese and topped with lime crema. Go to the Bearded Chef website Beardedchefbrunch.com or call 904-772-5976 to check out the hours as they can vary. And then go get you some AmAziNg grub at the Bearded Chef Food Truck!

Big Rich informed me of this food truck in Arlington, in my neighborhood. I was happy to see new…read morebusiness in the area, no matter how big or small. I will always try to support local. I met Mr. Mohammed and he took my order and cooked it fresh while I waited. I sat at round table with an umbrella and some chairs to sit and relax while he fixed my two meals. I ordered the lamb gyro for myself and a Philly cheesesteak for Ernie. I was hungry, so I stayed and ate some of my food and then too the rest home for later. The gyro was huge! You get an order of shoestring fries and a cold drink with your orders. He did not have any zero drinks, so I had a Diet Pepsi. He has both Coca Cola and Pepsi products. The fries were well seasoned and tasty. When I got hone Ernie enjoyed his Philly cheesesteak/fries. His hours are Monday-Sunday, 11am-11pm. When does he rest?! It was nice talking to Mr. Mohammed. It's a small world! It ends up that we both live in Arlington and only live one block away from each other! I look forward to trying his chicken shawarma and other dishes in the future.

Halal Food in Sunni Islam - Conditions (Translated and Organized)…read more In Sunni Islamic jurisprudence, "halal food" refers to food that is permissible according to the Qur'an and the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad . It must meet several conditions related to the nature of the food, its preparation, slaughtering process, and consumption. 1) Lawful Nature of the Food Itself The basic rule is that all foods are permissible unless there is clear evidence of prohibition. Forbidden foods include: * Pork and its derivatives * Carnivorous animals (such as lions, wolves, dogs) * Animals declared impure or harmful * Animals explicitly prohibited in Islamic texts (e.g., domesticated donkeys in most cases) 2) Conditions of Islamic Slaughter (Dhabihah) For meat to be halal, the animal must be slaughtered correctly: * The slaughterer must be a Muslim or, according to many Sunni scholars, from the People of the Book (Ahl al-Kitab) * The name of Allah must be mentioned at the time of slaughter ("Bismillah") * The windpipe, esophagus, and main blood vessels in the neck must be cut * A sharp instrument must be used to minimize suffering * Blood must be fully drained from the body * The animal must be alive before slaughter 3) Purity and Absence of Impurity (Najasa) Food must be free from any religious impurity, such as: * Flowing blood * Urine and excrement * Contamination from impure substances or unclean surfaces * Contact with alcohol if considered ritually impure or prohibited in consumption 4) No Mixing with Haram Ingredients Even if the base food is halal, it becomes haram if mixed with prohibited substances: * Alcohol or intoxicants used as food ingredients * Pork-based gelatin or enzymes * Fats or oils derived from forbidden animals * Any additive derived from impure or prohibited sources 5) Lawful Means of Acquisition and Preparation The food must be obtained through lawful means: * Honest trade and lawful purchase * No theft or usurpation * No use of unlawful wealth such as interest (riba), bribery, or fraud 6) Utensils and Cooking Equipment * Utensils must be clean and free from najasa (impurity) * If previously contaminated, they must be properly purified according to Islamic rules * Utensils of People of the Book are generally permissible if clean 7) Intention and Consumption Ethics * Food should not be used to harm oneself or others * Excessive waste (israf) is prohibited * It must not be used directly for sinful purposes Summary In Sunni Islam, halal food is not only about the type of meat. It is a complete system involving: * lawful ingredients * proper slaughtering * purity from impurities * lawful earning and preparation * ethical consumption
