My mother had many needs and was sometimes difficult, but they always provided her great care with compassion. I returned in February 2018 and I was amazed that the building was even better than I remembered! The entire facility had been upgraded, we still had most of the amazing staff that was there from 2009 and I had the privilege of meeting and working with new employees. We have such an amazing team, nursing staff who truly care for residents like they were family, and a phenomenal rehab team that will make a huge difference in your recovery! When you place your family at a skilled nursing home, whether it be for rehab or for long term care, you should feel like home when you walk in the building. You should see a clean facility with content residents. You should be greeted at the front door with staff who help you with any concerns. I know there are negative reviews out there, but from your first step in to the building you will see the difference. We aren't perfect, but we do learn from our mistakes and we educate to make sure that our residents have the best care possible. The best feeling is when we get to see our residents successfully graduate from our program and walk out of the doors! Life Care Center of Coeur d'Alene is a great place to stay, a great place to work, and I welcome everyone to come tour and see the difference!

My mother lives in Spokane Wa. My sister and I are from out of state. My mother does not want to…read moreleave Spokane. My mother got very sick due to Small Cell Lung Cancer. The cancer kicked off an immune response that caused her to suffer from memory Loss Mental Confusion and Seizures that nearly killed her. My Mother was recovering from seizures caused by a small cell lung cancer and was moved from Sacred Heart Hospital to Spokane Falls to recover. When my Mother was checked into Spokane Falls she had with her several personal belongings including a book shelve her portable stereo and her wallet with her debit card and ID among other items. She also had a Fall Risk condition which brings me to the first problem with Spokane Falls, their staff do not understand what "Fall Risk" means as my mother was admited with a Fall Risk Classification, yet staff consistently let her get out of Bed and move around on her own. She fell and got stuck between a toilet and the wall in her bathroom causing a trip by ambulance to Holy Family Hospital. While at Holy Family they had noticed my Mother had several fall related head injuries. She also received chemo treatment while there. After Treatment, Holy Family Transferred her back to Spokane Falls. However upon arriving back at Holy Family my Mother started having seizure again. Spokane Falls sent her back to Holy Family who eventually transferred her back to the ICU at Sacred Heart. My mothers condition declined to the point that she was removed from Life support and put into palliative care. My sister and I went to recover my Mothers personal belongings specifically her wallet with ID and Debit Card as she was dying. Unfortunately, this brings me to the second major problem with Spokane Falls, they lost all of my mothers belongings. They tried to say she took them with her but there are 2 problems with that story. First my mother was never in the condition to do so, Secondly she had way to many belongings to take on an ambulance .... There was no way they are going to let you load a book shelf onto an Ambulance. We checked with Holy Family, Sacred Heart and AMR ambulance service and none of them knew anything about my mothers belongings. AMR outright denied that the took on any of her items. We even visited the hospitals. We checked my mothers latest banks statement. She should not have a single transaction on it this year (She has been hospitalized or in a care facility with limited mental capacity since December 2024. Her latest statement has some large transactions on it. Currently we do not know if these are auto payments or manual withdraws. When this is over my sister an I will be getting the Spokane County District attorneys office, law enforcement, Washington state department of human services, and federal regulators involved. So in short if you truly love your loved one needing care DO NOT SEND THEM or LET THEM GET SENT TO Spokane Falls. Your love one will not receive adequate humane care and their belongs will more than likely get stolen or come up missing.

The nursing team such as Anastasia, Betty Jane, Anderson, Ongeshi, and Raquel were top notch. The nursing team is very skilled and well beyond adequate. They work extremely hard to have us patients here feel cared for and heard. The CNAs who made my daily needs feel important such as Jessica, Kaya, Kalu, Gilbert, and Angela are amazing. Sean the main person over activities for the week helps to make every day of the week feel like there's some fun event that Will be going on. He helps bring a young experience to the nursing home to make it to where he said himself. If he had to send a loved one here he don't wanna make sure they're having a great time. Then of course, admissions team were amazing and very helpful with any need I had. Rich, the driver who took me to all my appointments, was very kind and helped make even the earliest mornings feel great.

My mom was living there after a year or more when we noticed mom's memory slipping. It was not…read moreimproving. We talked to management to let them know we found another place for her to live that takes care of her specific "Alzheimer Needs", such as meals, bathing and medication assistance doctors appts. & anything else she needs. We told _______ we are paying the down payment today. We went in her office to discuss our options. We were told that Fairwinds has staff that comes in residents apartments to help with everything I just listed above. Man we were happy ! As we didn't know how mom would have handled the move. We were so relieved we didn't have to find out. All her needs would be met! We were very honest and upfront about mom's condition. We said sure let's do it! Mom can stay in her own apartment that she knows. GREAT! We were so happy and ________ made us feel like this was the right decision. We were told the extra cost and felt it was justified because getting her bathed is a chore and we are not caregivers & really didn't know how to bathe an elderly Alzheimer's mom. Mind you she was only 98 pounds but she was feisty and would speak her mind and fly the bird at you sometimes. In less than 48 hours she was comatose. She wasn't walking, we don't know if it was by choice or she forgot how. This went on till we secured her a spot at Fairwoods; they specialize in Alzheimer's/Dementia care. By the time the "NEW" home came to evaluate her she had lost a considerable amount of weight. We had to get her out of there. She either clashed with _______ or just was stubborn and shut down. Update now... has appetite is back, she gained weight, is actually getting herself down to the recreation room to socialize. We don't know if she thinks she's out on the town or what! But a very happy mom now!

My aunt and uncle have been living at Evergreen Fountains for the better part of 7 years and both…read morewe and they have been generally quite pleased. This is a nice facility, well maintained, with many excellent staff and friendly residents. I would easily rate it five stars except for one thing. Evergreen markets itself as a place where people can transition from independent living toward more assistance as needed. Unfortunately, they only offer any type of assistance if you are in the main building, so if you live in other parts of the facility and need temporary or only occasional assistance you can't get that from Evergreen. In addition, Evergreen won't allow you to move from other parts of the facility into the main building unless you immediately sign up for light assisted living. So unless you are lucky enough to have an appropriate apartment become available exactly when you start to need some full time assistance (apartments in the main building are often not available without a substantial wait) you may need to either start paying for assistance before you need it or move to another facility when you do need the help. For many people there is a good chance the transition from independent living to some assistance may not be nearly as easy as Evergreen would have you believe. Not cool.

Having to place a loved one in a facility is so difficult...and, especially when family is out of state. Jeremy and his team are amazing...they are great at communicating with family...his staff offered us all coffee when the kitchen was closed, greeted us all with big smiles when we came up for a visit...and, offered assistance to all of us(help to answer questions, etc.)...Jeremy even went out of his way to hug my Mom, from a special email request that I had sent from California. The nurses are so cheerful. Tons of activities to choose from...I am grateful! And, only gave them a '4' b/c the food could still use some improvement;)! I spent a month in Life Care and had excellent care in this beautiful facility. Staff from Stacy in Admissions to Tara the most incredible CNA anyone could ask for were part of my staff. Just a great staff who made my stay most comfortable when I was feeling my worst . Your care was excellent, and a special thanks to Rick, Ben, Riley, Tara, Christine, Gloria, Liz, Jason, and Maddi. Extra special thank you to Natt, Wound Care Specialist and his team who mended me back together. Would definitely choose this facility if I need care again ! You're the best !
