They go out of their way to accommodate scheduling needs. All in all, Bethlehem Rehabilitation Specialists runs like a well oiled machine. Too many wrongs to list, but my 2 biggest are 1- waiting more than 30 minutes to use the restroom in the middle of the night, completely dark, she had to feel her way to the bathroom, and yet your told you can't get out of bed until someone comes?? Luckily she didn't fall going by herself. There is no decency for the fact that these elderly are actually human beings that deserve basic needs met, especially when the facility is being paid to do so!! 2- I bought her a coffee, got there at noon.. the highlight of her day, is to have her coffee (no restricted diet) .. she always has her coffee at 4 pm.. before I left, I asked 2 nurses if they could please warm it for her.. I was told we're not allowed to do that!! So much for personal care that is mentioned in their home page write up! This is just plain nasty, rotten, and unacceptable.. these patients have nothing while there here, a little decency and personal care is non existent anymore, and I'm soo sick of it.. I wish just one rehab facility or nursing home could prove me wrong!! Please please please, don't believe what you are being told to get you in there, they are neglected, and the only patients that will have a good review are the ones that lay in their bed quietly, keep their mouth shut, and don't ever need a THING!

The therapists documented my progress on exercises using their laptop computer. This enabled exercises to be tailored to my specific need. Although the location in the Giant/Home Depot shopping center on 25th Street is not large, it includes a therapy pool. I found doing exercises in water reduced joint pain, permitted greater range of leg motion and helped improve my balance. Besides physical therapy, occupational therapy is also offered.

He has see me last minute when I needed it. He is so supportive and knowledgeable. He explains everything he is doing in a way that is easily understandable and takes time to listen. Most importantly, the plan he created works. I am headed in the right direction. Within a week I felt substantially better. Few recovery trajectories are straight up, I have had some "bumps" in the road so to speak, but Erik has just reassessed and adjusted the plan. (Encouragement/reassurance always included). The exercises and stretches she recommended were easy and required almost no equipment. The equipment I did need to purchase was pretty cheap (think elastic bands, massage balls).
