Worst Taiwan tour ever!! They let us stay at 1star motel (suppose be 3 star and up hotel), and the hotel we stay all the pillow are fill with mold. Restroom is old and again fill with mold. Tour bus driver almost got us killed by speeding and try to pass other cars. after file a complaint it local taiwan tour company and they didn't do anything about it. I am so regret that I have not read the YELP review before I've deal with this company. I've booked 4 airline tickets with China Airlines online. When I contact Good Shine to book a China Tour, the staff said "Oh, we can book the air for you with the same promotion price." Therefore, I've rush to cancel the online booking with CI and get full refund. Okay, why not give Good Shine a chance of earning commission if the ticket price are the same to me. To make story short, now, 3 weeks before departure, 1 of us can not go. Good Shine is charging me $500.00 cancellation fee ($250 to airline, $250 for Good Shine)???? Is this reasonable???? HOLY HELL I have never been so enraged by lack of lets not even say decent customer service... just lack of customer service period. BEWARE of booking anything with this agency. Better yet... just DON'T and save yourself headache and heartache of wasting your hard earned money. Sunny should win the award of worst employee of the year, chick gives two shits about treating you with any type of respect once you paid them. All travel was paid 5 months in advance. Three weeks out on the trip asked for e-ticket confirmation for the trip to see that in our group of 4 I am the only one on 6 hr later flight and wait list for the flight the rest of my group is on. WHY would you book our flights like that if you know we are ONE group?? When asked she said, nothing I can do, you just wait. **CLICK**. LIKE REALLY WOMAN, that's how you deal with a paying customer?!!? Then we ask again she said I can try to move your flight to match the rest of the group. Great, but no response, I follow up again with her since this trip is coming up and time is of essence if I want to keep this trip or not. After lack of response from Sunny I decide forget this cancel the trip. I email her in writing I want the trip to be canceled and please let me know what my penalty are since I did not want to put it off longer and get a larger fee. She again IGNORES me, when I call she just says I'll ask my boss and get back to you which is all BS. I call again asking she again says you wait. Hangs up on me again, to the point she wont even pick up my calls. I had enough went to her office to talk to this amazing person face to face. She immediately has stank face when she realizes who I am. I again ask when will I find out when I can find out how much the cancellation fees will be. I have no interest to waste any more time or let them milk it for a higher cancel rate. She keeps saying I don't know, I'll let you know when I know. UM unacceptable. Finally she goes I'll tell you tomorrow at 3pm. Fine, please send me that in a email so I have that as a confirmation that I'll hear from you. Sunny said I refuse to do that. I won't do it because you tell me to. WTF. I am not asking you to give me the fee right this moment but I want to have a confirmation I'll at least hear from you tomorrow. When my mother in law visited us from New York and wanted to go to Mexico, we turn to Good Shine travel since they offer two days road trip (12/31/2016 to 1/1/2017) that fits our schedule and they offer mandarin spoken driver/tour guide. Despite all the negative reviews posted on Yelp, I followed my guts feeling and booked this trip for my husband and my mother in law. I am glad I didn't let the bad reviews turn me away. When I picked them up from drop off location today they told me the trip was wonderful - good food, great driver/tour guide, smooth and well planned route, and clean hotel with delicious breakfast and ocean view! Started from the beginning, Ms. Sunny Sun from Good Shine Travel explained clearly about the basic cost and extra and gave us clear instruction of how to pay for the trip. The tour guide, Jack , was very professional and accommodated our pick up requests from San Diego. He even called us one day before the trip to confirm pick up location..We had booked several road trips with local San Diego mandarin spoken travel agencies when my in laws visited us. After all the disappointments, we decided to try travel agencies in LA areas, and I am so glad we found Good Shine..For the prices and services, I definitely give Good Shine a 5 star!! read more

I purchased the RT tickets to TW stop over China for last 10 years and their service is good and price is reasonable. The hotels used not the top ranking, but was clean, safe, and comfortable. I would give them a zero in review if I could. Do not do any business with GOOD SHINE TRAVEL 故鄉旅遊! I deeply regret that I had booked a China tour with them. After I arrived at Changsha and checked in to the hotel the night before the tour, I was requested for more service fees that were not in the contract. I decided to withdraw from the tour. On my way back to the US, I was told that my air ticket has been rescheduled to the next day by GOOD SHINE TRAVEL! The airline company didn't have the permission to reschedule my ticket although there was a vacancy! I had to spend an extra day in Shanghai. It was the most horrible travel experience ever! My mom called and wanted book 3 star hotel, when I went to travel store and paid fee, they said 3 star hotel is sold out and we only 1 star hotel to choose. I went on an overnight trip to Baja Mexico in December, and the experience was absolutely horrible. After arriving at the harbor to board a boat, the tour guide left a portion of the group behind while people were getting off of the shuttle. The tour guide did not make any attempt at counting the number of individuals boarded the ship, and worse yet, he was not apologetic at all when I confronted him afterwards. I tried to call their office the following day, and I never able to speak to anyone that was able to address the issue for me. I highly recommend staying away from this company. I booked my sisters family with them to take a 9 day tour to yellow stone. The bad experience started with the bus arriving at the bus stop 40 min late then 20 minutes into the trip the bus. Broke down. It took the company 6 hours to get a new bus on site. When I called the company to find out what was going on I talked to the sales person, she said she would talk to the mgr and call me back. Which didn't happen. I called back and asked for the mgr- said he wasn't there and hung up on me. After they make the sale they do not care. No customer service here. read more

They're charging OUTRAGEOUS cancellation fee for cancelling a trip due to Corona Virus outbreak. $1500 tour, they're only refunding $800.Their BS reason is hotels and tickets are not refundable, tours already booked. EVERYTHING IS CLOSED!!!!!!!!! Over 1/2 of their itineraries include visiting campus and museums and there are notifications everywhere in each of those websites that they are closed until further notice. So what kind of tour could they possibly run to continue having it at the end of March where everything is shut down and to charge their customers 1/2 of the travel fee. What is this money for?????? Airlines are providing refunds, hotels are waiving cancellation fees,venues are closed, why do they need to keep half of the money?? Other than gauging their customers and taking advantage of them!!. Poor business ethics! If you feel like throwing money, throw it to the wishing well will be more satisfying than paying these guys. It is so infuriating for them to take advantage of the situation in a dire environment such as this. People are getting sick and dying and they want to continue to have a tour????? Are they willing to take responsiblity if their clients do contract the disease during this outbreak?? Lack of common sense. The worst of it all, the owner won't even come out to handle the situation. He hides while his employees are getting yelled at by their customers. This will be the first time I leave a bad review, well as the last time. Horrid customer service and apparently on her cell phone or computer, our dialogue would pause and when questions asked, there were lapses, irresponsible replies. I had to say twice "I am sorry but have you heard what I just said, please tell me if I am not making my questions clear or if you cannot hear me? Miss? I have to repeat myself, I am sorry but you are not responding me, perhaps I can speak to someone else?" there was silence in between and a few hellows from me, then she got annoyed me asking her then she said: Yes! I heard you! It was about a promotion they advertised $499 round trip to Taiwan but did not mention anything about toll charges from "the airport" of $160. I booked with this lady named Wendy Tang and I was very cordial and mannered speaking with her, I thought for a moment I heard myself wrong. Called back, there was no manager, no supervisor, and the owner is said to be in Australia. Went online to check the same time and dates, apparently only 40 dollars difference. It was my fault I did not do much research but I rather book online then to be humiliated. This is where labeling comes from, I am also Chinese and I feel ashamed people labeling the nation being ignorant, low class and poor manners because the majority behaves like that. A typical shitty Mainland Chinese outfit. Cheating, lying, predatory. I bought a 2 day Baja California trip. I paid $245 to an agency who advertised this trip. I got a Iphone receipt and the tour guide's name and phone number from that agency. So when I showed up on Wednesday on Good Shine's office I knew the tour was organized by Good Shine and I paid its contractor. That was O.K. as common industry practice. The driver/tour guide said my name was not on his list and asked for receipt of payment. I showed him the Iphone confirmation and his name as the guide. So he called the office and the office said it had no record of me. BY that time we were ALREADY BOARDED and drove a few miles (NOTICE THIS SET-UP). Good Shine's office manager then called and she said I should pay $245 in cash to be on the trip and later get reimbursed from the other agency I paid or get out. I told her I did not have that much cash and told her I would get out and not joined the tour. I had been to Baja several times, I joined this tour at a high price because I dont want to drive long trips anymore. Not that I have never been to Mexico. So we started to turn around to go back to Good Shine office to disembark. RIGHT AWAY at turn around The office manager she called and said she found my tour receipt. So we went to Baja. The trip was wonderful and the driver/guide Dave was excellent. The bus was so old and worn I think it must have been a Mexican bus. Being in frequent contact with Mainland Chinese I know some of them are real bad characters with all kinds of rip-off. Good Shine asked me to pay $245 cash and it was a trap. It will get double one from the other agency and $245 in cash from me. Good Shine will tell me to get the refund from the other agency. And the ball will be passed along for months then ends with no result. When I came home and told my wife about it. She said the same thing happened to her. Actually I drove her one day to Good Shine's office to pay for a tour. She paid cash and kept her receipt. On the day of boarding she was told her name was not on the list of passengers. She showed the guide her receipt and after a while let her boarded. Now I figured out that Good Shine did this trick only on single passenger, not couples, because couples do not carry that much cash to pay again. I need a zero star or negative star, worst travel experience EVER!!!!....the tour end up being a shopping tour. They wake you up at 7 am in the morning the take you shopping. This is not the worst part, we got stuck in Shanghai because of a visa problem and need ticket reissue. Our ticketing agent Kevin Zhang was totally unhelpful and useless, he keeps pushing the problem to the airline when he could of easily reissue it for us. BEWARE!!!! read more
