This was my first time visiting good taste buffet and I thought the food was pretty decent. My mother likes to eat here, so I thought I would treat her to lunch. The Buffy stayed Phil and my mother and I had a great time catching up and enjoying each other's company. The prices were reasonable for lunch it was $6.99 per person what a great deal. Not very good. Time markers over the food are meaningless. Rotation involves pouring the old food over the old, regardless of its condition. The white rice had hard grains around the edges, with less than two cups of rice in the container. Sweet & sour chicken had an unfamiliar flavor. The glory days of their former quality are past. I grew up eating here, and when I went back last year to visit, I realized just how AWFUL this place is. Everything is dirty, the food is horribly salty and it's so generic and flavorless. My mom drug me here knowing I was vegetarian and couldn't eat at the buffet anymore. I actually hate buffets too. So I ordered from their menu. I requested tofu with vegetables and noodles. I waited at least 30 minutes for my food. My mom and her best friend consumed two plates of food while I waited and waited. When my food finally came out, it was covered in pork. I almost cried. I can handle other people eating meat in front of me, but when it is presented to me directly, I can't. It's so rude and disgusting! They finally took my plate back and re-made it for me. When it arrived, I was at least happy that the portion was nice. However, one bite of tofu told me they had no clue how to prepare tofu, and another bite told me that the vegetables were not cooked properly either. I was so very disappointed. It's not that difficult to prepare a stir-fry meal with noodles and fried tofu! Yet this was an absolute disaster. I took a few bites, decided I couldn't finish and ended up paying $9 for food that I couldn't eat. If you think this is great Chinese food, I feel very sorry for you. This WAS a good place. I heard stories of food poisoning and maggots in the food. I even saw a roach crawl across the table some years ago. I talked to the manager. Is attitude was more over ppl were trying to get free food like I brought it from home. So to the point I took my family to this Buffet and my wife and I eat similar. That night I wake up with extreme food poison so does my wife a few hours after. If you get sick do not let anyone working there know but call the health depth. 243-3141. I used to eat here quite often but I will not go back. The last several times, the restaurant was quite dirty. Food was cold on the buffet and bathrooms were filthy. This place used to stay packed but they have really let it go. New owners maybe? I don't know but I wiLl definitely avoid this place at all costs read more

I visit Wilson frequently and thought I would try this restaurant. It looked promising as I pulled in with lots of people going in and out. For me if they are not busy, it's a sign not to eat there. It is small, but set up well. A good variety of food items were presented in a pleasing way. I tried many items and most were good, but I really liked the black pepper chicken. The string beans were the least tasty. The table and chairs were clean, however the carpeted floor was not. It looks old and even had ground in gum right next to where I was sitting. I initially ordered water with lemon and received room temperature water, no ice. It tasted so bad so I ordered a Pepsi (And I don't even drink soda) which took about 8 min to receive. Overall I would say it's okay in a pinch, but I think I will look for another Chinese buffet. Anyone have any suggestions? read more

The price is probably one of the best prices u can get.yea the food may be off sometimes. The peanut butter chicken is GOOD.the fries are pretty good for a chinese buffet. the yellow rice sometimes has flavor idk how thats possibble. but its true overall its a 3 star because the waiters barely refill.it took the waiters 30 min to refill my cup. One of the worst places you can eat in Wilson. About 5-6 years ago, it was pretty decent and clean. Now, they usually have a low sanitation score, dirty environment, and the food either is cold or not completely done. The workers are easily triggered and can show an attitude to you at the drop of a hat. Terrible! Terrible! Terrible! Worst meal I've ever had. I hear they used to be good but not anymore. The dining area was filthy and there was mold growing on the ceiling and walls. The waitress was very unfriendly and didn't check back for refills on our drinks. The food consists of cheap cuts of tough meat and it was cold and flavorless. They had a sign asking that people not waste food but it was totally inedible. The only thing I liked were the roasted potatoes. read more

TERRIBLE!!!!! this place is dirty, and food is cold. We were charged for two drinks and only ordered one, When I asked the cashier/server about it, she got an attitude, then I asked for the "senior discount" (it's on the menu), she REALLY had an attitude.....I was still over charged about a $1.50 but I didn't want to just sit there and argue. As we were leaving, I noticed their health dept score 75............I almost died....I will never eat in a place with such a low score.... Sooooo. I have visited this place basically all my life. During the past few years you can deff tell it has been deteriorating. The inside needs remodeling for sure. None the less the food has always been decent on a good day. I have always heard stories about the low sanitacion , there being Roaches and maggots and what not. Went there last night we asked to sit close to the back. As soon as we sat down we saw there was a huge Water bug by the back booth so i was already feeling Icky but as we were eating I saw a ROACH climbing behind the back wall. I called the waiter and told her she saw it and procceded to kill it. and simply asked if we wanted to move from our table... Like that was going to fix the issue . We left and when i check out I had to ASK for a discount being that after seeing that I was not able to eat, they gave me a hard time about it and pretended they were not aware . If there are roaches outside where the tables are I can not imagine In the kitchen . I will never be back to this place and I will be calling the health Department . They need to be shut down ! read more
