What this means is, that team showed up early every morning. They worked hard and wasted no time. They are experts at what they do and they take pride in the job they perform. Harley treats your job like he is working on his own house. This comes across very clearly in every decision and choice he makes to select materials, plants, products, etc. He also consulted me before every design decision was made, from the the height of the step leading to the backyard, to the exact color of the cement, to the exact placement of the plants before the digging took place. Another designer may have gone ahead and planted the plants per the architectural design, but Harley has this innate understanding that people change their minds when they see things actually laid out, or after they have time to think about the project as it it progressing. It is this insightful understanding about human nature, that greatly reduces stress during the project as you come to trust and appreciate these rare qualities that you don't find in most people. The price was very reasonable for the originally planned work, but in the end it turned out to be a great value for everything they did to get it perfect for us. Jesus is extremely nice and approachable, and he was excellent with communication and check-ins. As soon as they finished the backyard landscaping job today, I signed another contract for them to do our fencing, and we're planning on having them back to improve our sprinkler system next Spring.

Lisa and her designer created something that matched the rough thoughts we had, but went several steps beyond, making it better than what I had imagined in several ways. We started with some tired, neglected landscaping containing a lot of (sick) grass, and some drainage issues, and from that they created a mini nature park in our backyard, including a river-rock-filled dry creek bed, a packed gravel walkway around it, built-in drip irrigation, lighting, as well as a plan for trees and shrubs that will invite birds, bees, butterfiles, etc. This plan was executed by a company she frequently partners with - Oregon Outdoor Living - and they were great to work with as well. The workers are highly skilled and diligent. We're looking forward to see how it grows out! Communication has been excellent all of the way through. The overall process was not as smooth as we expected from System Pavers given its name and pricing tier. I was able to schedule a free consultation on their website the next week and had Dan come by. I am a pretty indecisive person but Dan did an amazing job taking my vision and helping it come to life. The estimate was done the same day, I felt some pressure to sign the deal that day but negotiated what I thought was fair. I was originally told a time frame 1-2 weeks earlier than what happened, which is one of the reasons why this is losing a star. Eric, the construction manager, came by with Dan a few weeks later to do an initial construction walk through and he also suggested adding another level/ stairs and helped me figure out a drain situation. I appreciated the feedback and ideas. Overall, both Dan and Eric went the extra mile and were responsive when I reached out. The week of construction, communication on when they were coming, progress, etc could have been better from the Crew itself but it is a sub-contractor.. (which is the other reason for one less star). The team worked hard in 80+ degree heat 5 days in a row, were very polite to me and the job was done quickly. Eric did a final walkthrough with me and I pointed out a couple minor flaws and they were quickly repaired the following week to my satisfaction. Overall, I recommend this company as they back up their product and have a good warranty. It is pricey, yes, but I believe this is a good investment and I have really loved spending time in my new yard. Thanks!
