Our backyard was not usable, it was just dirt and rocks and weeds. We were overwhelmed with how to transform the space into a place our grandkids could enjoy. Enter Erick with Escobar Landscaping. Escobar was recommended to me by another landscape company. Erick came out the same day I called and give me a quote on extending my patio of aggregate concrete. He had a very reasonable price and said they could start the next week. The weather and other circumstances delayed the project a few days but they did excellent work and we're very happy with our new patio and flowerbeds. Excellent Family-Owned Landscaping Company After reaching out to two other companies who never showed up for quotes, we were relieved and impressed when Erick Ramirez and his father, Mr. Escobar, came out the same day. They measured our yard, discussed sprinkler upgrades and new lawn seeding, and worked within our budget. Once the crew began the project, they discovered our underground sprinkler pipes were rusty and too corroded to use. They replaced everything with new plastic piping and a back flow valve. Thanks to the improved water pressure, we uncovered a bigger issue--a broken main water line to the house. Erick referred us to another trusted company to handle that repair. It turned the project into a bigger undertaking, but it was necessary--and worth it. (Bonus: our monthly water bill dropped by $100, even after the city rate increase. Turns out that water line had a slow leak for years!) Since then, Erick and his brother Oscar have returned to check on the lawn and even applied fertilizer for free. They also just finished trimming a large fir tree hanging over our driveway. The Ramirez Escobar family is reliable, efficient, and truly knows their stuff. When I asked for an estimate through Yelp, they got back to me right away to schedule a time to come to our home and scope the project. Erick was friendly over the phone, and sent his dad who talked over the project with me, and even took pictures of our yard. They sent back the estimate in a timely manner, however... The estimate didn't describe the work we talked about. It listed only the prices for labor and materials, with no further details provided (photo attached). I asked Erick to provide a more detailed description, and he said he'd have it to me the next day. I waited, and heard nothing, so I reached out to him again. He said he'd have the details to me by 7 p.m. that evening. Again, no word. I ended up going with a different company that provided me with the information I needed. It's too bad because I liked Erick and really wanted to use his services. But his lack of follow through is a cause for concern. If you decide to ask for a quote, make sure you get in writing what they plan to do. Otherwise, you're just wasting your time. read more

We hired this company to do my parents backyard, a big project. From start to finish they stayed in contact, they helped explain everything in detail, and the whole family crew is a pleasure to work with. They did all the work of arranging permits, back flow testing, and removed any stress from our hands! The yard looks fabulous! We are now going to use them for maintenance as well due to their SUPERIOR service! Communication was a little inconsistent but giving 5 stars as they have the best price, did good with and were very fast.

I hired Escobar Landscape to do the maintenance at my commercial building. Erik asked if they could do a one time clean up and then maintenance every other week. They worked the weekend of May 13-14 and Erik stopped in on May 16th with the invoice. I paid him with a check that day in full for $1,350.00. I expected to see him again in 2 weeks to pull any weeds and blow leaves, he was a no show. I sent him text messages in July asking when he would be by again to do the maintenance. On July 27th he told me he would stop by on the "28th and then 11th". He was a no show. He's only looking for the big paying jobs. He is not reliable for little projects. Our new home needed work on one side that included leveling the ground, breaking down and removing old cement pavers, adding a French drain and building a a retaining wall with river rock. They were quick to respond when it came to any communication. They were always on time and finished the job before what they had anticipated, they cleaned up and did an excellent job. Before the project started they had ideas and solutions that put us at ease. Escobar landscape is also a family owned business that we would support and refer again and again. This firm finishes what they contract for. Their work is excellent and I would highly recommend them.

They ran into a little trouble with the schedule, but did an excellent job removing and preserving the old hostas so they could be replanted, and put the new bushes in the spots I designated. They also checked out the sprinklers for spring, and cleaned up afterwards. Quite pleased with the results, and will hire them again. read more

Eric was able to come to the house the following day to start the sprinkler system. The rest of his team (family) laid composted mulch to reduce water loss and add nutrients. Where they spread the mulch also suggested a vision for expanding the garden. Competent and friendly--- I look forward to seeing what else they can offer. They also did some weeding. read more

I could not be happier with this company! I reached out to them last week and within two hours they came out and gave me a bid. They started a couple of days later and now I have a phenomenal custom system that means we can go on vacation and not worry about our garden or our yard. Even our flower pots will get watered! I thought my residential sprinkler controller was malfunctioning, as it wouldn't activate the sprinkler zones. Escobar Landscape & Irrigation called me back right away and came out within 48 hours.... solving the problem, testing each zone for function, and repairing several key leaks. All is up and operating again. They were a genuine pleasure to work with and very reliable. They'll be back later this week to additionally help with tree trimming, cleanup, and replacement of an outdoor water line and faucet pump that broke during last winter's ice storm. The project was professionally handled from the initial bid through completion. Erick and his crew did an excellent job. They removed our old lawn and installed new sod in both the front and backyard. They installed new metal edging and replaced the old sprinkler heads. In the front yard they relocated several sprinkler heads and constructed a new retaining wall for a flower bed. Communication throughout the process was excellent. On May 26 I talked to Eric on the phone about repairing our irrigation system. We exchanged emails and made an appointment: "Let me know that you received this, and then let me know if you have a cancellation and can do the fix before June 15." I called Eric on June 15, and he asked to put off the appointment to June 17. He said that he'd call before arriving. My husband and I waited in vain for him to call or show up. We waited over month! He wasn't truthful! read more
