Oh my god as I stood looking at the ridiculous line at Starbucks, I noticed this donut shop was open, I just wanted black coffee anyway so I look in the window and score! I grab a donut bc I'm on vacation so fk it, and I was in and out in 2 seconds. The lady behind the counter was very sweet. But unintended surprise? That donut was chef's kiss. Probably my favorite place for yeast glazed donut holes in Ventura! I went in on around 6 am on a Thursday morning. There were two kind and friendly women working the counter. I had to order enough donuts for a hospital staff and didn't know what to order, so I got their basic box for 8.99. Dozen plus one free donut. I think Good Time Donuts come close to our very own Rolling Pins, they have a wide selection of donuts to pick from and some donuts that you might not see in your average shop, such and the Maple and Bacon Bar, a Blueberry cake donut, as well as glazed donuts with what appears to be M&M's on them, and another with fruit loops. The donuts are fresh and the service is polite, they accept debit and credit cards at this location, the clerk actually apologized because they charge .50 cents to use it, but hey if you find yourself without cash on hand, at least you know you have other options. The carry Farmer Brothers coffee, as well as bottled juices, water, & other beverages. It's a popular shop, but when I've been there they've always gotten through the line quickly. They have tables inside and outside for patrons that would like to settle in for a nice visit or just want to settle in read the paper and enjoy their treat. We stopped in here before our day at The Jolly Oyster nearby on recommendation from a friend. A quick check on Yelp yielded that we should try the donut holes. The donut holes were more like .. saggy/soggy donut skins injected with custard and jelly. The jelly ones I think were a skosh better because the custard had a plasticky taste to it. I wish they would have just taken the actual donut holes and injected them with a squeeze bottle to order (like Beard Papa's). We also ordered a couple old fashions (not impressive, too much icing) and a regular glazed (light and fluffy, my favorite). It's just a regular local donut shop...a-ok. read more

First the donuts. The kinda donuts you crave. Fresh & delicious, perfection. So many varieties offered. Their ham & cheese croissants are a whole new level....grab it with jalapeño if you like the heat. Great selection of pasties. The cheese danish there is my fave of all time. Staff made this place for me. They're super friendly and patient. I went in here with a person with disabilities and it took him a minute to figure out what he wanted and counting his money. You should try it, but don't make it a habit because it makes me sad when people buy them all before I get there. The ladies know my kids and I and are always very nice. I just couldn't get enough! The creamy sweet custard generously filled the crispy, sugar-glazed donut holes. When I bit into it, the custard squeezed out from the inside and it was quite an explosive experience! I also tried their pink donuts - they look like the Simpson donuts. So pink, so small, so cute!! How many does a small bakery in a shopping center right there is a grocery store there and I didn't want to get chain style donuts. I wanted to get freshly baked goods that they make on premises. Silent in the ladies that work there were really really nice. The selection was huge. I had the choice between the standard donut and the cake donut. I put together the most fascinating dozen donuts in a box and the kids eyes just about popped out of their head when they saw the sprinkles and toppings and the shapes and everything else. Just off the 101, Seaward exit is Good Time Donut (GTD) - one of my favorite stops on my way up to the Central Coast. GTD is tucked in between Von's and Starbucks in a nondescript strip mall at Harbor and Seaward. In my humble opinion, the thing to get are the Croissants; my favorite is the ham and cheese. This place has a variety of Flavored coffees and a solid straight up cup o Joe. I'm certainly no expert on doughnuts but what I see is good variety and of the doughnuts I've tried, there is great flavor. I have had several business meetings there opting to stay away from the Starbucks two doors down that is typically loud, crowded and the tables are on top of each other due to the small space. This place is bright, roomy quiet and has good service. Simple, fast and uncomplicated. It's cash only so put away your debit card. They're great. I buy donuts, milk, coffee, and Lotto tickets there. They have a large, fresh selection. They are open long hours. Starbucks is two doors down; GTD has to work hard to compete, and they really do a good job of keeping their customers happy. I admire that David-vs-Goliath sort of thing. The map on the web page is a little misleading; Good Time Donuts is in the Marina Village shopping center, corner of Seaward and Harbor. Enter from either street.
