My rating is mainly for the drink selection and our bartender was super kind! I think aside from being a billiard, it's a very nice dive bar. As a forewarning, however, the crowd this venue attracts is very off-putting lol (which the venue isn't responsible for). If you're someone who wants to play pool for fun, I would suggest going elsewhere. The crowd my fiancé and I encountered was strangely judgmental and seemingly took their games very seriously, with some people (who weren't even playing) just sitting around and staring at us. This is definitely a place where the old advice of "Don't judge a book by its cover" is a strong understatement. When approaching Good Timez, you're probably expecting a typical mom 'n pop dive bar, smoke filled, with a dart board, a couple pool tables and maybe a broken pinball machine or two. That's the way it certainly appears, at least from the exterior. However everything dramatically changes once you enter. Well, being real, it' still is a dive bar. Cheap drinks, plenty of ash trays, and a very friendly local staff. HOWEVER, this ain't you're Dads dive bar. The owner has a collection of boutique quality pinball machines that are reasonably priced and play exceptionally. He even runs regular pinball tournaments that are open to everyone (21+). Now let's discuss the "Billiard" part of the business. In what appears to be a separate building almost, there is the pool area. This definitely isn't a low brow dive bar couple of tables. This is truly serious business. The tables are all professional grade. The house cues are all perfectly straight and could even be used in competitive play. The felts are all meticulously maintained, and the icing on the cake, it's literally dirt cheap to play. As my kids and I rented a table we meandered through the pool area and noticed that we certainly weren't in Kansas any more. Most of all the billiard regulars all resembled characters from The Colour of Money. Watching some of their shots and the way they called their shots and respected the venue, it's obvious that this is where the pros and the hustlers come to play. But having said that, it's also where three idiots like me and my two kids go to screw around and sink the 8 ball 4x per game and scratch an innumerable number of times. Sure it's a little intimidating but it's also educational and certainly entertaining. Since our first visit we've been back 3 times and I even went a couple times by myself to work on my billiard game. We were on a hunt for ew places to play pinball in Vegas and found this one on the Stern App. We headed over and WOW, what a great lineup of pinball machines! I saw the signs that they do tournaments, so that is pretty cool. We were just there for a quickish game to keep our Insider daily streak alive so I explored the location while my husband was playing his game. It's pretty impressive the number of billiards tables they have. They also have leagues and tournaments for billiards and overall, the place is a pretty big size and I'm sure it gets busy. We were there on an early Monday evening and it was not busy but there were people at the bar, playing pool and playing pinball. Overall, I liked the vibe, but unfortunately, for the short time we were there, we walked out REEKING of smoke although I saw no one actually smoking. Our clothes were completely stinky. Welcoming bar. Staff is very friendly. They have many pool tables and host tournaments frequently. They also have an great selection of pinball machines. Every other Monday they have a pinball tournament that is fun and a great deal. $15 for entry, tournament starts at 7 but if you arrive early they turn on the machines to Freeplay and you can get a ton of games in for the price. Strange place. One side is a normally dark bar. Drinks, etc. The other side is the billiards and it looks like a school cafeteria. Lol Great for pool players, I guess. Parking was a fight by the time every table was going, but there are nearby streets laces for overflow. The person that owns this place is from Hawaii! It's not a "Hawaiian Brian's Billiards" like from Hawaii, but it is a good place to shoot pool! They have both small and regulated size pool tables. About six months ago, the divey Club Charleston bar closed. This place has now opened in the same space, with a minor facelift in the form of new signage. Interior also appears to have been cleaned out and aired out. Not sure if there is new ownership or staff but the overall feel of the place is still the same and the original regulars from the former establishment appear to have come back- good for business, I guess. Wish they'd have gutted the place, started over, and gave it a better image rather than just essentially reopening the same bar, but it's a lot cleaner now than it used to be. Clean, well maintained tables, no smoking, and a serious approach to pool - this is almost unheard of in Las Vegas. Despite the blue felt (come on, gimme green felt!) and the tight pockets, this is the only place in Vegas you should consider for billiards. Music and lighting are good, and the rates are reasonable. They have a house table in the sunken section of the main floor, which I assume would be a great spot to watch some local pros. There is a full bar (which does allow smoking) with gaming, but you can use the door at the back to enter the pool hall separately. The Diamond pool tables do not have counters, and there are no overhead scoring beads, so if you plan on playing Straight Pool, get an app or bring a notepad. read more

I was expecting an almost dirty biker bar vibe walking in. This place did not live up to that expectation. It was clean, the tables well maintained. The staff was awesome and respectful. I just wanted to hit some balls around. I even had an option for a short or long table. It was League night (didn't know) and wasn't berated for being a single player and taking up a table like I have been in the past. I felt welcomed. The jukebox was playing and wasn't too loud. Excellent staff, great equipment...what more could a pool player want? They have quite a few 7' Diamonds as well as some 9 footers (I played at so many places in Vegas I can't remember if the 9 footers were Diamonds or Gold Crowns, sorry) they also have an especially tight table down in a "pit" that played really well. They seemed to have a lot of leagues if you're into that and there's an attached bar if you just want to hang out with your friends while you drink a little and play a few racks. All in all a great place to play. This is the place I'll be playing at whenever I'm in Vegas. read more

Really great tables here! Affordable rates. Super nice people. 9 foot and bar box sized diamond tables. Nice tight pockets on a few of the 9 footers ready for some serious pool. Full bar with pinball, video poker, a great snack rack, some surprising options for non alcoholic stuff too (like arizona teas!), and a vending machine has gatorade and sparkling water, etc. The place is sometimes busy with leagues and tournaments yet we have always been able to get a table quickly. I have played pool in a lot of places, and its so rare to find a place where you can instantly see the extra effort put in by owners who love and understand the game. We really appreciate all the little details here. Even the bathrooms are clean. Touch tunes jukebox is fun and not too loud for serious pool. We will be back soon! read more

By far the best pool hall I've ever been too. The place is incredibly clean, the equipment is excellently maintained. And you can't find a better staff anywhere. I've only been here a few times and it gets better each time. First visit: Incredibly warm and friendly staff. There is a bar attached to the pool hall. Don't even think of prying yourself away from your game to get a drink. You will be well taken care of while you're here. The staff is constantly stopping by to check on your drinks so you don't have to stop playing to go to the bar. Another thing, blew my mind when the first house cue I picked up and rolled on the table was straight. That was a first for me. Just to make sure I didn't pick the only decent one of the bunch I grabbed two more. All straight. Never been to a pool hall where every house cue was was in great condition. The tables are very well maintained. It's obvious that the owners and staff take a lot of pride in their business and really enjoy what they do. Second visit: As soon as we walk through the door they remember our drink order from last time like we are regulars and ask if we would like it brought to our table! I never would have guessed that would happen anywhere after a one time visit. I know all the cues are straight so I don't bother checking them, we get right to playing. Again the staff does a bang up job of taking care of us and treating us like we were just some other regulars. Basically they are all really pleasant people to be around. It's obvious without asking that they know what they are doing. Third visit: Only thing that changed was one of the staff gave us some helpful hints while playing. Beginner stuff that we didn't know because we're amateurs and just play for fun and to pass time. It was nice that he took the time out of what he was doing without us asking, to just give us some really solid tips. They are all as knowledgeable as they are polite and friendly. My wonderful 70TH birthday surprise. Yes my family threw me a wonderful birthday party. It was held here at Good Timez Billiards. It was a wonderful evening the bar room was a perfect size to accommodate my 30 or so guests. It was a Saturday night well from 5:00 pm - 3:00 am it happened to be a kareoke night for the bar and it was like having our own DJ. The best part of all was Gary the owner is also a friend of mine and his hospitality was AWESOME. I could not have asked for better service from anyone in this whole town. This used to be our favorite spot. We would drive all the way across town just to play because the owners are from Hawaii. Gary is super cool but his wife is the complete opposite. How are you gonna charge for two players when you OBVIOUSLY saw me sitting down the WHOLE TIME. And then when we asked about the price, she had the audacity to give attitude and speak to us rude. I'm in a pool league and we play here every few weeks. It's a chore. The layout of chairs and tables is awkward, so we must usually sit far from where our team is playing. And since the tables are lined up the way they are, it's common to bump into other players and/or have to wait for the other table to take their shot before you can take your shot, or start a new rack. But it's the customer service that really annoys. Multiple times I've gone to the bar to order something and the bar tender is glued to his phone. I've sat there for 2 full minutes waiting for him to notice me. He basically doesn't look up unless you say something, and then he's irritated about it. And when I want something besides booze, I practically have to twist someone's arm to get a glass of water. They want you to buy bottles from the vending machine instead. This is one of the few non-smoking pool venues in town, and the tables are decent. But the overall impression I get is that they will do the absolute minimum to accommodate leagues, even though the league is paying for the space. The whole vibe is just unfriendly. read more
