I deliberately was looking for out of the way places i had never been just to check them out. I came across this joint and wanted to give it a whirl. I stepped inside to a vintage watering hole. It was really pleasing to see somewhere that was vintage and quiet. Wasn't too sure about the clientele that was there, i saw someone that looked like a hooker, another one that looked to be on something illegal, and another who looks like he's there every day all night drowning in beer. So I order a drink, and after the bartender walks away I played a few dollars that were in my pocket for recreation. Bartender walks back and states " oh I comped your drink but now i can't because you didn't play enough". "That'll be $6" I just gave her a blank look because I wasn't playing to get my drinks comped that's why I waited till she walked away to start playing, so I really didn't see the need to point that out ...just charge me for my drink without the commentary. Afterwards she proceeded to tell me that this is a cash bar only. Keep in mind I didn't see any signage around that warned of that. She also said that the ATM was right there if i needed it. Gee thanks. I didn't quite want to pay an ATM fee to pay for a $6 drink so I cashed out of the machine to cover my drink with cash since it's cash only (in 2019). If they're simply doing it to avoid fees they need to get with the times because they still charge what everybody else charges for a drink. It's still $6 for a Jack and Coke like everywhere else so there's no benefit to the customer for them being cash only. I mean aside from its clientele and the fact you pay cash for every drink and cant run a tab- it may have been a good place to hang out. I ended up going somewhere else after 1 drink. Saturday night after work, I decided to try this place out, by my house. It's about two blocks from my house. It's a cool Vegas classic. I had a blast hanging there... Ran into some friends I had met at a different bar, the night got better. If I remember correctly, the Bar Host was Stacy. She was amazing! Very friendly, great suggestions to save me money, and was very attentive. The bar is pretty big, machines pay out pretty well, very well maintained pool tables, and bathrooms were spotless. I also liked that they had a Jute Box. I paid $9.00 for a pitcher of beer. At most bars they're $14.00-$20.00. The bar is VERY close to the strip. Anywhere from 10-20 minutes from any Strip major casino. About 25 minutes from Downtown. $7.00-$15.00 Uber Ride. I think this is going to be my new Saturday Night hang out spot read more

This is our first time visiting this bar/lounge and it was awesome. The environment is very friendly and Christina (bartender) is very kind and such an awesome host. I was here a couple times, as I had just moved into the apartments right next door! Anyway, not only do they keep serving people who are clearly intoxicated and falling off bar stools, but they let them drive home after! Also, on my first day there, I had hit a royal flush for 1000 dollars, and, as I was ready to buy everyone a drink, the "Regulars" started cursing me out for hitting "Their" jackpot! It got to the point where they were actually mad at me for winning and I felt threatened! Lucky I am a concealed carrier, so I was never really scared! Anyway, after I tipped the bartender, I left and have since when down the road a bit to another bar! This place is not only a dive, but it reeks of urine and puke! I would classify this bar as an upscale dive. I have a couple of friends that are regulars (like 5-7 days a week regulars) and everyone knows everyone here. It's easy to see why they like it. There's always a pool game, drinks are cheap and the bartenders are very friendly. A couple of negatives would be that they don't serve food but it looks like most just get something from Thai BBQ next door. They also allow smoking and don't have an HD signal for their games on TV. I talked to one patron that's been coming to the Front Row since 1986. I asked him if anything at the bar had changed since then and he said "nothing". It definitely feels like a cool basement from the 80's. As Marie L mentioned in her review, the average age of the patrons is 55+. The bartender pulled out some random beers just sitting in their fridge for me to try. A bunch of interesting choices I'd never heard of. I enjoyed a couple of stouts that I don't remember the names of. But in the end, I still prefer Jackson's just up the street due to food, drinks and better quality TV's. read more
