She was so great, patient with my questions about their process and understanding that I was still thinking about it. What started as a town visit on a weekend getaway turned into a 2 year tattoo session worth every minute. I went in about a week before my 18th birthday in September to make an appointment and they were all so kind and understanding, I was obviously nervous because this was my first time and they made me feel so welcome. They asked what I wanted, where I wanted it and when I wanted it and they set me up with Tiffany! She was amazing kept in contact with me and took my ideas in to one amazing tattoo (the cellphone picture doesn't do it justice) that represented my favourite things. On the day of it was very relaxing and calming, I brought a friend and we made small talk and I barley felt anything! I just got another tattoo from Tiffany (my 3rd from her, 5th from GV, and 6th overall). I've always loved the homey, welcoming feel from Good Vibes, which really does have, well, good vibes. It's clean without being stuffy or feeling sterile, and there is no tattoo snobbery or attitude, which I did get from the few other places I've been to. Tiffany in particular has done an amazing job both of bringing my half-formed ideas to reality and of making me feel comfortable. She has taken my random thoughts about what I maybe want and really listened to me, sussing out what I'm looking for and giving my general ideas the artistic touch I'm looking for. She's also fun to talk to and creates a laid back, friendly environment that almost makes you forget there're needles poking your skin at high frequency. I chose this parlor to give me my first tattoo and I do not regret it. Everybody I was greeted by was very welcoming and the establishment had a very homey feel despite it being a business. Tiffany was my artist, and she was so kind and considerate when asking me exactly the size and placement. (I made her move the little star about a bazillion times until I was satisfied). I loved all the art around the place, and they have a myriad of portfolios in the lobby if you're looking for ideas. I could tell this business took hygiene and sterilization of needles very seriously. They also provide you with a care sheet afterward that goes over the healing process and tips to keep your tattoo in the best shape possible. Overall, Good Vibes gave me a great tattoo (with a free touch up!) in a secure and safe atmosphere. The staff was kind and professional and the cost was fair. I haven't gotten pierced here, but I came in after getting pierced elsewhere. I was having problems with my jewelry bothering my piercing. The piercer set me up with a hoop instead of a stud for my nostril piercing to encourage the swelling to go down, and that plus a change in material (from yellow gold to surgical stainless) did the trick. Fast forward three years. I've moved to socal and got a new piece of jewelry, stupidly ditching my piece from Good Vibes. I called the shop to ask what material their jewelry is made of (316L surgical stainless). Not only did the piercer give me lots of info, but she encouraged me to contact the shop i'd visited in socal and ask who their supplier is. The shop in socal swore they used 316L, but their supplier's website clearly states that they don't. Now I know to take my business elsewhere. I'm visiting WA in about 4 weeks and mentioned I could come in to get a piece of jewelry then, but the Good Vibes piercer encouraged me not to wait. Seriously! She's more concerned that I have a happy, healthy piercing than she is about making a buck. Basically what you've got here is honesty and integrity. Give this place your business! read more

I've never felt the need to download yelp but this place... this place right here forced me to download it before we even got back to the car. We called 3 times and each time it felt like we were speaking to space cadets I get it we live in Washington and it's completely legal to smoke but when you can't even understand what we are talking about that is very unprofessional. I completely understand that maybe these two ladies had a long day but I personally have worked in multiple customer service industry's and that is not how you deal with people. We finally got into the place after waiting outside for 45 minutes. The First Lady we dealt with we knew it was going to be a bad experience, more like bad vibes, maybe start preaching what your sign says outside because this place only gives bad vibes. We were asking simple questions about piercings and they made us feel stupid asking them. We finally were over the whole situation and started walking out when we came across the front door.. my girlfriend tried opening the door and it was locked so you know the common sense thing is to turn the lock if it's locked and the lady came running and yelled " please don't touch the door!!" Soooo how are we supposed to get out of this trash hole of a place. So she came over and proceeded to tell us there's signs (on the outside of the door) saying that the door is supposed to be locked because of the whole COVID situation, I understand that but in that case walk us out instead of making us feel even more stupid. Here's a suggestion maybe fix your crusty dusty door from the 70's first. read more

Great atmosphere the employees are fun and laid back and I can't speak for any of the other artists there other than Darius and her work is AMAZING. she's so meticulous and into what she does it's a great experience there. I'm sure they all are great just haven't got work done by any but her. First off, I was happy to call (very last minute) and get an appointment for the next day. Also, my mom and I (we got matching mother/daughter tattoos) both saw the same artist and we are both happy and impressed with our tattoos. Darius, the artist who did our tattoos, was easy-going and polite the entire time we were there. She made sure the placement of our tattoos was straight. She was very light handed. This was so nice because my first tattoo was the opposite. I always get compliments about the clean lines on my tattoo. One thing of note was that she was super specific about care instructions. This was extremely helpful! I didn't care for my first tattoo as well as I have for this one and it shows. I didn't really even know what to do because I wasn't told anything. This was my mom's 8th tattoo and even she learned a bit more about care from the simple, but thorough instructions we were provided with. I will definitely seek Darius for my next tattoo! read more

If I could give this business a zero star, I would, but unfortunately that's not an option. I went in with the simple intention of getting a new bar for my piercing. The moment I walked in, there were instant red flags with her bad attitude + eye rolling. She made me feel extremely uncomfortable for not knowing the size of the bar. For this being her profession, you would think it wouldn't be a hard task. How this business is still staying afloat is beyond me. Especially since they don't accept cards and I had to walk all around town to find an ATM. I left feeling dissatisfied + taken advantage of. I definitely would NOT recommend this business. read more

Had a casual visit today to speak with one of the tattoo artists. Was greeted very warmly by the very friendly piercing artist. When a tattoo artists came available, she was very, very busy, but still took time to explain the process of what I could do to help her assist me in getting a really great ink design. She even brought me several books to look at so that I could define my ideas to her. The shop was clean, inviting, and fun. The only downside for me, which is actually an upside for them, was that they were very busy. It was challenging to feel at ease while waiting because of the hustle of the shop. I'm sure they are appointment only, and I was a walk in, but I still left feeling appreciated for having visited. For you guys reading, I recommend making an appointment before dropping in so that you can have awesome sit time with an artist. read more

I do not recommend at all. I have gone twice once for a tattoo, and once for a piercing. The owner darius was rude and continuously rolled her eyes at me while getting my piercing and shauna refused to do a free touch up like I told I was able to after I gave to my daughter when all I wanted done was the color touched up a tad. Here at Good Vibes the ambience is awesome....The Tattoos are good well for the most part and ya they do a decent piercing. However if your expecting a warm reception or artists that dont have egos bigger then the sun, well you have come to the wrong place. Unfortunately they fail in this area. Short snobby answers and eye rolling make the whole experience uncomfortible. I sent 3 different individuals over each looking for something different and guess what? You got it they all recieved the same cold unwelcome response. I didnt tell them about my experience. I thought maybe I was over reacting. To bad to see such talent wasted on bad attitude. Oh another thing way overpriced try $$$$..as most of you know I travel extensively and they charge more then some primere studios in NY and CA. Expect to tip they do....last but not least if you decide to over look all of the above...please make SURE you remember when getting a tatt you wont be lying down the rest of your life and so...if say, you get a shoulder tatt and your arms are raised, once you stand and put your arms down it wont be straight....shame on you Good Vibes Staff for bad client service..... read more

I know these folks do good work, because you can see the proof on skin and paper alike. But. I came in for a redesign, but I wanted something custom. The first lady (presumably the manager) condescended me as if I had asked for a cardinal sin of the tattoo world. She warned me it's not like I can just get something to cover it, that it could be bigger, as if I couldn't handle it, like a child. I looked at books for a while and found an artist who had the style I was looking for. She was amazing! She looked at my tattoo and we discussed possibilities. I emailed her a bunch of reference stuff I liked and she was thrilled to start making designs. I met her a few days later and we picked one of hers out to refine and then get done. The day before my appointment, I was notified that for whatever reason they canned her and they wanted to move me to another artist. Hesitant, I went back to the books to find someone who could pick up where my other had left off. I gave her the same reference material, she did a tracing of my tat, and a few days later I came back to see what she had come up with. She missed literally everything I had talked about for inspiration and instead had taken a couple keywords, google searched it, and copy/traced it into a horrifying band tattoo of weird, unrelated animals and graffiti. I was speechless for about 5 minutes, holding up what she had done on paper trying to find some polite way to change something. I couldn't. I finally told her I needed to go and I would send her more info. For two days I thought long and hard and it was so far off what I had described it was nearly insulting. I emailed the manager and asked if I could get my $45 down payment back since it wouldn't go to a tattoo. She insisted I continue to work with the second artist and put down the idea of a refund. At that point I gave up. It's not worth the fight for 45 bucks. Like I said, I absolutely am sure these artists can do great work, but somehow I slipped through the cracks. I doubt I was too vague... if anything, I had been very descriptive and the only rationale I can frame is that the second artist was too busy at the time and did not take the time to digest and do a custom piece for me. I'll be taking my business elsewhere when I get the motivation finally back. read more
