Combination pizza served with special mayo based sauce. Tasty ! And cater to all meat lovers !

My lovely friends brought me to this local restaurant . First of all, dining atmosphere was the best , chill, relax, very enjoyable . Secondly, the Staffs are super super nice and attentive yet gave you enough space and leave you enjoy the food; thirdly , the decoration of the place was very impressed . Felt very warm and welcoming . For a party of three , we ordered a seafood platter & a combination pizza . Which were all very very good. We were Very impressive of the dish portion. The kitchen is open to the public . You can literally get a look on how the chefs prepare the foods when you walk to the back . But still , I can't say that the food are up to expectation for the following reasons: the temperature of the dish is lukewarm . Interesting , ha. We ordered the seafood platter. The fried fish and fried calamari are not crispy at all and overly greasy :-/ we love the dipping sauces though . On the side of the seafood platter, there were some mix grilled veggies like bell pepper and zucchini , well , which are cold when serving. I guess this place is for dining atmosphere but not really for best taste. Price was reasonable and portion is generous . But certainly Can do better though . Four star for the cleanliness of the place and friendly staffs. Finally , for a die hard bread lover, i think the bread was awesome .! I love that ! Next time will try some other dishes :)

Complimentary fresh basil at every table. Yumm

It's pretty damn Goode. Excuse the pun. We had the seafood platter. It was very very nice. Huge. Didn't need the bruschetta we ordered for entree. We may have been able to finish it if we hadn't ordered an entree. The bruschetta was weird anyway, not your usual bruschetta. Soaking in vinegar (I hate vinegar). But the main made up for it in droves. The prawn twisters delicious. Squid was delicious. The Vegas very nice. Olives great. Bread with feta and the basil pesto dip available on the platter made a better bruschetta. Couldn't finish it all. We left the deep fried fish as it was a bit too greasy. A great portion for a hungry two. Very well priced also. Nice ambience. Friendly staff. Quick to bring out the meals too which is fantastic when you're starving. Over all A+

Food just ok. But I just quite confuse about the way how the waiter treats the customer, is so different.

The staff are a friendly bunch, but don't always bring your food on time. You have to order at the bar, so don't go waiting for service. Mainly you go there to enjoy a certain atmosphere ,which changes depending on whether it's a family afternoon or a rowdy weeknight. In saying this, its hard to say what the Cock & Bull's target market is, but nevertheless, they seem to be accommodating for a wide age range- and thats a good thing. I've always enjoyed the service at Cock & Bull. Always welcoming, quick and cheerful, and you know your drink is in good hands. Their food is very well done- I tend to lean towards their salads, but they do great wedges, nachos and fries with aioli. Their aptly named Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea and Aston Villa pizzas are well priced and taste even better! Cock & Bull is a long-standing establishment in Botany Downs and really fits the gastropub mould. If you're looking for somewhere that does its job right in the Botany area, go no further than the Cock & Bull.

We have dropped in for after hours dessert on one other occasion as applejack. And while that experience was good, it's pretty hard to mess up dessert. This review is based on a full breakfast. We walked and engaged with staff who let us free roam a table. We chose outside on the patio. Good mix of large and small tables. Excellent flow and decor. Howick was packed and our usual cafes looked far to busy for my ideal. So it was nice to have a scattering of other patrons, and the space between tables felt really good. We tried to order a latte bowl, only to be told they come in mugs, OK fine.... No big deal.... But imagine my surprise when a tiny dinky half tumbler glass came out. Half foam! I pointed out I ordered a mug.... To which a sheepish "this is how latte is served here" was uttered by or server. I rolled my eyes and sighed and sipped the foamy latte. I ordered a Bacon and eggs on toast, convincing my fellow breakfast seeker to get the big breakfast so I could pick at his mushrooms and hash. We both asked for grain toast. Once again surprised with the result this time he had grain and my plate had white... I sent my plate back. By the time I was able to start my partner had wolfed down two thirds of his breakfast. And my bacon was half cold, and sunny side up eggs over cooked. None of these faux pas were acknowledged upon settling the bill... Which also seemed pricy, especially given the rather blasé service. I won't be rushing back anytime soon which is a shame given the ample parking and eye catching location

It's a fairly new establishment in the area, but it's become a regular hangout for a few beers and very good food. You definitely feel the '80's vibe when you're there, and its always nice to see a little appreciation for that era. Their pizzas are delicious, particularly 'Rangi's Hangi' and 'Larry the Lamb'. They do a very nice caesar salad and my favourite main has to be the crispy chicken burger with aioli and melted brie- one of the best restaurant burgers I've had. They've got a good range of ciders and do a few cocktails to quench your thirst. They also serve most of their drinks in 600mL milk bottles, which is a really cool touch. I'd have to say that Nineteen Eighty One is best known for their fortnightly Wednesday quiz nights. The place gets packed and its always a good laugh- there's even a prize for the team that comes second to last.
