The IV sedation and surgery was quick and professional. I don't have any past experience with surgeries, but my time spent in the waiting room was around 2 hours beyond my scheduled time of surgery. I also was left alone in the operating room for a while before being sedated and after waking up. I wish my husband had been allowed back there to help ease my nerves as a first-time sedation patient :/ Also, I feel like my husband should've been given the after-care information that I received (as I was fresh out of surgery and not fully alert).

I wanted an orthodontic viewpoint on a solution prior to the crowns and veneers flying. I chose to seek out the expertise from this group of Doctors as my son had his braces done with them & they were great. Kathy at the front desk was always pleasant too. Nancy, assistant to Dr. Beth Blackwell Nill began by asking me questions, listening and looking in my mouth. Shortly thereafter, Dr. Nill came in to meet with me. Same routine- asked questions, listened to my thoughts and examined my mouth. She discovered broken porcelain in between the two teeth and advised a more simple and cost effective solution to my problem would be to have another crown replaced rather than go down the path of orthodontia. Her passion for her work is clear and she has experience to back her expertise. She also gave me some great information about shading with respect to veneers and crowns, going to the labs and strongly encouraged me to make sure I was extremely satisfied with the work. When expressing my enormous gratitude to them for their help, they both assured me they were happy to help and even said I could call with more questions. Bottom line, I know their work is excellent as my son had his braces done here. After my consultation with Nancy & Dr. Blackwell Nill this morning, I have immense respect for their honesty, love of their work and product, and willingness to help. I went in this morning with my anxiety through the roof. I was called right back. I was shaking while they took xrays. After the hygienist left the room I seriously considered bolting. Before I could this very YOUNG woman walks in and starts talking to me like weve been friends for 10 years. I even had to ask if she was the Doctor. Being in the medical field I know how confusing some physicians can be with the way they speak to their patients. Sometimes they forget the average person has no idea the verbiage they are using. Dr Drew was not this way at all. She sat down so that we could have a conversation face to face and didnt stand over me to intimidate me. She explained what was absolutely critical to address immediately and then gave me the option of a few other ''problem areas''.............SHE GAVE ME OPTIONS. By no means did she TELL me what I had to do. She respected patient rights and made me feel like a real person that didnt want to be there anyway. After all that I sat down with the financial advisor (who was just as great) and we scheduled a follow up. I will never go in search of a different dentist again. I will follow her (one step away from stalking) to any practice she decides to go. She and her entire staff were amazing and I have an all new perspective on Dentistry. So think about it before you use Aspen dental.

I was…read morevery anxious going in because I have sleep apnea and was worried about being put under anesthesia. During my consultation, I shared my concerns with Dr. P about my apnea. He took the time to talk through everything with me and even had a specialist come in to discuss how they safely manage patients with sleep apnea during sedation. That bedside discussion really helped put me at ease and made me feel confident moving forward. On the day of surgery, the entire team was incredibly professional and reassuring. I remember getting the IV and oxygen, and then the next thing I knew the procedure was finished. I vaguely remember hearing voices toward the end, but I don't even recall waking up--it just felt like I was suddenly there again. The surgeon and staff were outstanding and made what I expected to be a stressful experience extremely smooth and comfortable. If you're nervous about oral surgery or anesthesia, especially with sleep apnea concerns, I highly recommend them
