They have a big back area with plenty of seating and a food truck. Beer was okay, not bad but not great either. I was good for one and then that was it for me. The unattended kids were a nice touch to try and enjoy a beer. I asked about the Bend Ale Trail code and the server wasn't aware of it. I would think that as much as they promote the Ale Trail that everyone would know the code. If you have kids this place is great. We were in town for a concert (daughter's graduation present) and decided to spend a few extra days (my bonus). We hit a few breweries while in town and I have missed stopping here the past few visits. Went inside to order, and interacted with a very friendly and knowledgeable man. We grabbed our drinks, ordered a pretzel and found a seat on the patio. The drinks were great. The pretzel arrived quickly and tasted great. I loved the use of the flaked sea salt. Used to really love this place and the relaxing outside area with music on some nights. Great beer and had the best dry rub full chicken wings! I'd even make sure to bring out of town people to try them. Since they got a new chef the wings are bland, nothing like they used to be. The large outside area is now completely inundated with young children running around so it's great for families but not for adults wanting to relax. I'm sad to say I'm not coming back. read more

Used to be my favorite Bend brewery for quality food and great beer. Something has changed, the beer is still great despite the brewery being completely removed from the facility. But the food has dropped in quality....good but not as good as it was. Regarding the service, well the crew is working very hard, but the understaffing results in lines to order and the lack of table service (like the old days) resulted in food being lukewarm and just ok. Love this brewery! A very dog and kid friendly patio. I enjoy sitting on the grass with my dog and the fire pit is nice as well. Lots of drink and food options. Great environment for anyone with young kids, there's an outdoor play area (with slides, jungle gym, etc) and grass. The beer selection is good and there's a few food trucks to order food from. But best of all, the staff is really nice. I was there with my family and my in-laws who were celebrating their 55th anniversary....when the owner found out (from the bartender I presume), he decided to comp my father-in-law's bar/food tab which was probably more than $75 at least. He said that his 55 year marriage was an inspiration, we were pretty shocked (in a good way). Anyway, great venue to check out if you're in Bend. read more

Our last brewery visit in Bend was GoodLife Brewing Company, one that was special to me. This brewery was the creator of the Best of Craft Beer Awards, a large commercial beer competition that has since become independent. I wanted to check out the brewery itself, so we decided to have a late lunch here and were glad we came hungry. It's located in a little business plaza that felt commercial/industrial but still welcoming for outdoor fun with other businesses nearby. It was cold that day, but you could clearly see on a nice day the big garage doors would be open giving the whole taproom fresh air. The bar is big and shaped like an L along the back wall, with a door heading to the brewery itself behind. Mug club mugs were hanging everywhere, a great sign that it's a local favorite. We sat at a high top and each had a giant flight of 6 beers, plus all the food- I had a delicious sandwich and salad with fresh produce. Everything was delicious and this place ended up being a big hit. The bartenders were welcoming and super attentive the whole time, keeping us fed and laughing. Merchandise is also available. We had a great time here; if you're in Bend for the beer, this is a must-visit place. read more

You don't have to choose between great beers and great food! This place has it all. Get a flight! With a flight, you can get 6 different beers of your choice. One of the beers that I had was the Orange DreamZwickel. I loved it! If you're a fan of orange soda, you'd love this too. It's so orange forward and refreshing. I also got their wings (in sweet ass Habanero) and they were good! I didn't think that 6 wings would be enough, but I was surprised that it was actually more satisfying than I expected. 8 would be better but at least I wasn't that hungry at the end of 6. read more

We came here on a Sunday with our dog. We ordered food and a beer. We sat out back which is a nice large grassy area with lots to space to sit and tables available. When ordering the waitress was very friendly and helpful in picking out food. We got a wrap, chicken Cesar salad, and pretzel. The pretzel was amazing!! One of the best of my life honestly. Soft and delicious on the inside with a lightly salted outer crust that was so good. The salad was good and have great flavor, as well as the wrap. It all tasted very fresh. Very happy with my experience here. I got the Comatose IPA and it was delicious! A very light and easy to drink beer for 8.5%! My dad got the High Altitude American Style Lager and he loved it. We ordered off their specials menu which was the Spicy Orange Wings with Peanut Sauce and it was very good. They give you the FULL wing(the drum and wing combined). So meaty, so good! We also got the chili. It was one of the best chili's I have ever had. They need to add it to the regular menu. Service was great, food was great, prices were better than expected. We stumbled upon them on a bike ride. I'd tried a few of their brews in the past but it was awesome checking out their home turf and gettin to know their team. We had a great time here trying some of their beers! All that we tried were really enjoyable, and we LOVED the pretzel appetizer. I don't know what the cheese dip they gave us was made of, but it was some creamy deliciousness topped with a ground mustard and it paired perfectly with the soft pretzel. We went away for the weekend and once we parked at the hotel in downtown Bend we didn't wand to start our vehicle. Happy to say this was a walkable distance from the Old Mill District and we highly recommend. Beer is excellent with many choices from IPA to stouts. The food was equally as good. Our server/bartender could have been better as he only half listened to us. Having to repeat 3 times that we needed silverware as he went back & forth wasn't nice. I love helles lagers, so when I found out that Goodlife has it on tap Bavarian Lager), I had to stop in. I had my dog in the car on what was a very hot day, but fortunately Goodlife has an outdoor beer garden that was perfect for dogs. A big expanse of grass with lots of picnic tables and umbrellas, we chilled for an hour or two with the family. The beer was good and the ambiance was great. read more
