She starts off with a one-on-one meeting to go over what exactly you are looking to do fitness-wise (and as we are women, we probably all have the same goal - flat tummy, nice bum, tone arms and legs etc.) and then she gets you started. The classes are two times a week (Tuesday and Thursday) and you can choose either early morning or evening. She is also a specialist in postnatal fitness and does "mummy tummy repair" as she calls it. Right from the first class you can tell the workout is having an effect and despite how easy it seemed to be, the day after you feel the burn, which is exactly what I look for! But this gym in Waterloo beats them all! It's absolutely huge with two floors and a women's area (separately equipped with several squat racks). Classes are numerous and varied - they also offer hot yoga. Best of all, I'm not sure if it's because I always go in the morning, but the place is NEVER CROWDED. After my first time here, I was so surprised at the emptiness of the gym that I asked the girl at the front if this was a one-off thing, and she told me that no, this was actually considered "pretty busy". Well, guess I can't complain :) The service here is also exceptional - the staff members are so friendly and nice! You would certainly never be greeted going out the door and told to have a nice day at a GoodLife downtown!

They overcharged me more than $200 when they continued charging me an already outrageous monthly fee after I cancelled the membership. I called the General Manager to cancel when I left the country and joined LA Fitness in Naples, Florida. I called the GM to cancel the Goodlife Fitness membership I had just put on hold a week or so before. The General Manager subsequently moved to Florida and must not have cancelled it. They continued charging me after I had left the country. Despite providing evidence of the new membership at LA Fitness which started just after I put the Goodlife member ship on hold, they will not do a thing to reimburse me all the extra charges they levied. They won't even contact their old General Manager who knows I cancelled it. This is incompetence and/or fraud.

Since I was a member, I was quickly able to check-in to the pool. When I went into the Locker Room, the place was quiet and it was clean(everything was clean technically), which I liked. I loved how they had kids take tests for things like: Going to the Deep End and allowed to swim, so they would be safe. I also liked the jacuzzi they had. I will definitely come back here someday!

I did go in person to sign up and spoke to the owners who were very friendly and informative, despite them offering the free classes in the first week - I decided to sign up for the membership right away! Small gym, with no classes, no lockers, not even water (no not even a water fountain). I was a member for over a year out of location convenience. When I tried to leave they charged me an extra two months plus the upgrade fee, even though I had just finished paying it the month before. They refused to give me my money back. The upgrade fee is also a joke as while I was there they didn't once upgrade the equipment or add anything. In fact, most times equipment was out of order, especially the treadmills. Don't sign a contract here because they will rip you off.
